This was the woman’s goal in overtime to win the gold.

The last time the US men won hockey gold was 46 years ago to the chants of USA, USA, USA in New York.

The Americans are after the biggest prize of all – Canadian tears.

A year ago, when these two teams played in February, it started with a bang.

    • The entire Mens USA Hockey Team will be celebrating tonight at Shoresys Moms house so she can give their bawlz a tug…
      STFU, Shoresy!

  1. Canada actually changed a law to allow them to legally drink this morning. At least it will allow them to cry in their beer.

  2. NBC put up the wrong graphics right after the US win showing Canada as the gold medal winner in the final game. They never corrected the graphic. I got a photo of it. NBC is totally biased against their own country!

    • I've banned Commiecast years ago. They only thing they gave us was Let's Go Brandon as a rallying cry as to how much they lie and a reminder as to how bad Pedo Joe was.

  3. Canada's front line was way faster on the skates but the USA was better on defense.

They got lots of uncontested shots but Connor Hellebuyck kept swatting them away.

Life gets a lot easier when you only need to score 2 goals at the most in order to win.

  4. Thank you president Trump! President Trump inspired the team to greatness and gave them passion to win gold for the US.

  5. Congratulations to the American Hockey Team on the win. So proud to see them honor the country with not disdain this is what the Olympics are about country.

  6. Meh, this is like watching professional sports. The Olympics used to be sports for amateurs. Like anything else, it’s been contaminated.

  7. Congratulations US ,this Canadian enjoyed the game very fast pace. I hate the 3 on 3 takes away the amazing players playing till the drop a team effort not puck luck.

  8. Meanwhile, the pansexual unhinged loser female (I guess?) skater was upset with Trump because he didn't want men in women's sports or their locker-rooms. That's literally what she was upset about. Nice way to read the room on a 90-10 issue. ALL those anti-American unhinged Liberal LOSERS ALL flamed out at the Olympics!

  9. Top 5 worst moments in Canadian history:
    5: Panthers > Oilers
4: US Women > Canadian Women ( hockey)
    3: Dodgers > Blue Jays
2: US Men > Canadian men ( hockey)
    1: Trump > Harris

  10. Ha! That is the nicest thing I’ve been called today. We have freedom in this country to disagree on things. I don’t watch the Olympics anymore, because of what I mentioned. Everyone else if free to enjoy the victory!

  11. Jack went out of his way to say how much he loves his country. Had to pick up the slack from the other losers. I'll take a Jack over a ( not another) hunter.

  12. More multi-millionaires “representing” the US? No, lot of the US was WORKING, not watching a hockey game.

    • Well, at least it appears the guy that scored the winning goal probably isn't a democrat or anti-ICE. He said after the game: "I love the US – I’m so proud to be an American!”

  13. Famous German Scientist Dr Votzeehell U. Talkinabout says maybe zee men doing it with zee men und zee women doing it with zee women? huh? Und dat be zee cause of low sperm and egg mating, und zee babies no happen eh?

  14. CONGRATULATION !!
Wow – our POTUS will be over-happy – he deserves it
after a morning where he learned that a young American was out to do him harm….

  15. This is the icing on the cake.

Women's hokey beat Canada 2-1 in OT on the 19th and now this!

    USA #1

    Thank you God
God Bless The US of A

  16. I love hockey….I love the USA and with the political environment is between the US and EASTERN CANADA it makes for an extra special WIN!

    • What makes it extra special is that both the Men & Women beat Canada in overtime. The worst possible way to lose.

  17. What is pathetic is that Drudge has 3 little tiny lines about this historic USA win while still bashing Trump in bold red letters. Was it worth the cash Matt when you sold out your once conservative beacon?

  18. Canada is losing everything! Some of their revenue generating provinces want out. Their economy is in shambles! And, now, they've lost the only sport they're any good at to both the men and women below their southern border. Becoming the 51st state is their only hope for relevance.

I wonder if they booed at our national anthem this time?!? Things like that come back to haunt you!

  19. Congrats to all on the team, and wonderful it happened on George Washington's Birthday. I'm sure he saw that same spirit in our Revolutionary War.

History fact: A lot of the Tories/British Loyalists left the USA and resettled in…….Canada!!!!

      • Someone had to say it….

Imagine the Mao struggle sessions the Canuck mens Team had to suffer through, the Lesbian Bi Pocs screaming at them about their toxic masculinity….
Once Alberta and the other three Provinces that make up the Bulk of Canadas GDP leave Carney, Ottawa, and Canada, and get away from that Socialist CRAP holding them back… Canada is going to implode.

      • USA MEN AND WOMEN BOTH BEAT CANADA IN THE FINALS
Loved watching the Olympic Committee hand out Stuffed Teddy Bears to the LOSERS
They should have given them "Trumpy Bear" (for those who've seen the commercial)

          • Trumpy Bears are HUGE compared to the wimpy bears losers got. They have to be prohibitively expensive in Italy. If they’d have thought to ask, Trump could have got them a waiver on the tariff
They are BBB! BIG BEAUTIFUL BEARS

        • Careful, the Left gets triggered by a stuffed bear, a cartoon frog, a red hat, a pickup truck, and of course, the American Flag. It's obvious now there is a clinical neurological condition that some people are born with that triggers and turns their brains into unhinged feral animals. Good luck getting any colleges or research facilities to do further study.

          • The Canadian Men looked EXTREMELY UNHAPPY. They did NOT like receiving those stuffed teddybears.
That’s why it was so funny. Stuffed Teddy Bears are probably hoping to keep gay viewers onboard….LOL
They gave them out to the women too. It’s so freakin stupid…LOL

    • Thats what they get for Booing the greatest National Anthem on Earth!
      Thanks for the motivation, Canucks!

  20. .. Yeaaaa! Patriotism is what makes winners, it is the adhesive for Team work..
The Antifa-Anti ICE fanatic players, all turned out to be Big Losers.

  21. Revenge against socialists booing our anthem! Trump is drowning the fascist socio-economic, Canadian goose! It’s a parable for freedom vs tyranny.

    • Oh Canada owned by the crown, states they stole it from the natives and bought and paid for by CCP and WEF. We'll gladly take Alberta and the western provinces. We already own hockey. Canada can keep their eugenics and fascist Carney.

  22. Now that we have the Gold against the Canadians, Trump can show them we are good sports and will only raise the tariffs another 5%.

  23. This is great and all, but they are all professional hockey players. It kinda defeats the purpose of having amateurs compete in the Olympics. I think of it as an NHL all star game…

    • The hockey team in 1980 that beat the Russians were amateur. The Russians were seasoned pros. That was one of the primary reasons they were underdogs and the win has been called "The Miracle on Ice"

    • The "miracle" of the '80 Olympic victory was the US team was strictly amatuer athletes while the CCCP teams was able to field a team of the absolute best players in all of the Soviet Union. Now that every country can send their best, it's no contest. The best players in the world should get to represent their home country.

      • I think we will have to disagree on this one. I can watch NHL players play anytime. The Olympics were (past tense) about the best in amateur sports. If folks enjoy it, great. Not for me, however…

        • I appreciate your point, but there was an incredibly uneven playing field between countries. The old rules allowed certain countries to feature their finest athletes in a particular sport, who were clothed, fed, and trained round-the-clock in what was/is 100% their “profession”, while the Americans and the Western countries saw their best players sidelined because they had received payment for playing their sport, no matter how little.

It wasn’t remotely fair. Now it is. Sorry, it just is.

      • If you enjoy it, great. In 1980 there were no professional players, at least in the US. The Olympics were always about ‘amateur’ athletes. In fact, they used to say that exact thing in the run up to the Olympics in the olden days…

        • Well it’s not that way today so get over it and move on. Even as amateurs it was the best of the best many from that 80’s team played professionally. Enjoy the win We Won!!!! I appreciated the fact they rep the country with pride those who were amateurs those skiers, ice skating trashed the country and won nothing pride goes before a fall and those three did. God Bless America.

          • I say this all the time to my kids. Life is not ‘fair’. The Ruskies used a professional hockey team, while the Americans used college kids. That is why winning against them was so amazing…

    • The purpose of the amateur requirement was to hurt the USA. Every other country could bring their best but we could not. So it was basically our college team playing the professions from other countries.

  24. I usually don't care about any sports results, but confess that this one produced a chrismatthewsian chill up the leg.

  25. “I love my country, I’m proud to be an American, and I’m glad we won this for our country." –Jack Hughes

In a world of Eileen Gus, be a Jack Hughes.

    • In response to everyone else using teams that practiced year around for four years. These guys came together two weeks prior to the Olympics.

    • No it doesn’t – but all those players were there to win and represent the USA….they were damn proud to be there…..

And they persevered after being outplayed by Canada for most of the game…..

And Hallebyuck brought back memories of Jim Craig in goal….

No, it doesn’t compare to 1980 but it’s damn satisfying seeing patriotism and hard work for America on ice…..

  26. Another bad day for Carney's Canada. Going to get a lot worse when Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba vote to secede from the tyranny of Ontario and Quebec Provinces. Oh Canada!

  27. “When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is a helluva lot more important that the name on the back….get that through your head”…..

Congrats to both the women and men – no whining – no kneeling – no anti American speeches and feelings of hate towards our great Country…..

Just hard work and love for their teammates and Country……

F every other American who whined and complained about the USA in Milan….take some notes on how to be a real human from the players on both USA teams…

  28. Was really GREAT to see the boys SINGING THE ANTHEM AS THE FLAG WENT UP. And another GREAT SPOT was when Larkin and Tkuchuk went and got Johnny Gudreau's kids for pictures with the team. AMAZING. Don't see that in other sports.

  29. Let's get real. Congrats on the US team for winning the game. They had an outstanding tournament, and the gold medal is well deserved.
Having said that, did anyone actually watch the game? A game where the Canadian squad out-and-out outplayed the Americans in two of the three periods, where they outshot the Americans by a ratio of nearly 2 to 1, where Connor Hellebuyck practically stood on his head to keep the US in the game?
They were out-shot, out-chanced, and were dominated physically on the ice. It was only in the first period where the US team was actually on par with the Canadians.
As for "winning for America?" Please. I know they are patriotic Americans, and that they are proud playing for their country, and they deserve the praise and the glory of winning the game, but seriously… Does anybody really believe that they won for America? I don't. More likely they played for their own self-serving pride, as do many of the athletes competing at the Olympics, and that is completely normal, and understandable, but athletes who earn millions of dollars for playing a kids game are not in it for the country. They're in it for their own personal glory.

      • Very astute observation, Captain Obvious. Now, do you have something worthwhile to say? I was expecting something along the lines of “I’m not a patriot,” or “I’m a traitor for cheering for the opposition…” you know… an intelligent retort. Fact of the matter is that I am glad Team USA won. I’m just not into the “They won it for America” hype, because I know better than that. After 40+ years working with Hockey and baseball teams at various levels (amateur, scholastic, and pro), I can say that although I don’t know the individual players on Team USA, I am well acquainted with the general mindset of these athletes.

  30. Jack Hughes interview was so nice to see. You could tell that that guy really appreciates the opportunities his country has given him and loves his country. Plus hockey is the best sport to watch on top of it.
