totally blanketed with defense boats and no single country has that many assets. A group effort is the only way to offer protection.

My only objection, to other countries being pulled into this, is what I read in an earlier post. I don't think China should be involved. This might be diplomatic move on President's Trump's behalf, but I would think that a bit foolish given what China represents in our world. Yeah, I get it, they need oil to resume their attack on the U.S. as I see it. But they don't deserve to be in the Straits of Hormuz.

UAE,Qatar,Bahrain,S.A.,Kuwait, etc could provide weapons and training for Persian Gulf populations of Iran to take control of their communities/cities to establish an armed resistance/safe zone for Iranians. For a time, the US could provide air and artillery against Republican guard.
Secession, armed resistance, parallel government could establish a powerful practical means of ending the current government.
No organized military action by the Iranian government could effectively attack these strongholds.
