It’s stunning how many people (adults) respond negatively to being called a “name”. A negative response indicates the “named” person has surrendered control of their behavior to the “name caller”. The “named” always admits to it by stating, “They made me do xyz because they ‘called me a name’!” Conversely, children and children masquerading as adults are (naturally) expected to react in that fashion. The kids and masqueraders obviously haven’t grasped the concept of simply declining to hold value for the “name caller” and subsequently anything they say. It’s a completely understandable (expected) reaction for children as they haven’t had a suitable length of time and life experiences to learn that skill. However, the children masquerading as adults (wear beards, sire children, employed, own/rent real property, own a car/truck, etc.) have had a suitable length of time and life experiences to have learned that skill, but have not. Some people become adults at 16; some people never become adults…….…beards and all.
