Meet Harry Wait: The Tina Peters of Wisconsin
Guest post by Rolf Lindgren
Harry Wait is a crusader for voting integrity in Wisconsin. He co-founded a government watchdog group called H.O.T. Government, which stands for Honest, Open, and Transparent, in September 2018. Harry was just put on trial in Racine, Wisconsin, on bogus charges. I spoke with Harry Wait, and here is his story.
On July 26, 2022, after a couple years of publicizing deficiencies in how Wisconsin elections are conducted, Harry went to the website https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ . Here, Harry ordered a mail-in ballot for Cory Mason, Mayor of Racine. Harry had been stating that anyone could order a mail-in ballot for anyone with just a name and a birthday. But no one in the elite media or government leadership had believed him.
Harry put in the name of Cory Mason and his birthday. The website autofilled the mayor’s address, and then Harry overtyped his own address.
When the mail-in ballot arrived to Harry’s home, he did not open the envelope. Instead he took the unopened envelope to the city clerk of Racine, who refused it. Then he took the envelope to the Racine County Sheriff where it was delivered.
Note – Harry also ordered a ballot for Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, but this ballot never arrived in the mail. Vos is a known opponent of meaningful voter integrity legislation. Harry also sent an email to Vos and Mason, informing them of what he had done.
Harry proved that the mail-in ballot website had a significant security flaw. All you had to do was find a person’s birthday to get an improper ballot.
But instead of thanking Harry and fixing the system, Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul filed criminal charges against Harry. He was charged with two felonies and two misdemeanors.
On June 13, 2023, Harry suffered a severe stroke and almost died. He was in the hospital for over a month. To this day he has trouble walking, yet the ridiculous prosecution went on.
On Monday, March 23, 2026, Harry Wait was put on trial for criminal charges, even though Harry had no criminal intent, nor was there any victim of this alleged regulatory “crime”.
Harry was acquitted of one count, but was convicted of one felony and two misdemeanors. He now faces prison time.
Like Tina Peters in Colorado before him, Heroic Harry Wait in Wisconsin is steadfast in his dedication to voter integrity. Harry will not back down, no matter what they do to him. He will file an appeal and continue to fight for justice. Like Galileo before him, Harry Wait proved he was right.
Harry Wait is an American hero.

So he broke the law and then went and told the government about it. Smart guy.
If Walt requested a ballot in another person's name and did not file it, but surrendered it to law enforcement to demonstrate the insecurity of the system, what laws did he actually break?
