Former FBI Director Comey’s Five Biggest Mistakes

Former FBI Director James Comey may be the most famous FBI Director ever for the actions and inactions he took while leading the US’s top law enforcement organization. Here are the top five most questionable actions taken by Comey while FBI Head:

1. Hillary Clinton Email Abuse

Hillary Clinton set up a private email server that she used when Secretary of State under the Obama Administration. Government employees are mandated to use government email accounts similar to employees in the private sector. (The reason Hillary decided to create and use a private system for her emails is obvious – Hillary didn’t want anyone to know what was in her emails.) Hillary allowed others on her team to use her private email system as well, including Huma Abedin, her assistant and close confidant.

Through a series of events Hillary’s email system was discovered and the FBI got involved. One question that needed to be answered was whether Hillary’s actions with her emails led to gross negligence with national defense information which would be a serious crime according to the Espionage Act of 1913.

Hillary went to great lengths to hide the fact that she was using a private email server and made many excuses which later turned out to be lies. For example, she claimed that she didn’t know a ‘C’ on her emails meant classified.

Clinton’s team eventually deleted her emails and then cleaned her server with a program called ‘Bleachbit’. They did this after these items were requested in subpoenas from Congress.

On June 27th Bill Clinton met with US Attorney General Loretta Lynch in her plane in Arizona for a half an hour. Within a week Lynch’s Department of Justice dropped the investigation into Hillary’s emails and FBI’s Comey made the announcement. Comey’s statements were later compared to Hillary’s prior statements –

After FBI Director Comey announced that the FBI would not recommend criminal charges be filed against Hillary, he was grilled in Congress by US Representative Trey Gowdy –

In the 2nd Presidential debate Donald Trump discussed Hillary’s email situation and noted that he would instruct his Attorney General if he wins to check into the Hillary email situation. After Hillary responded Trump had the most memorable response in any Presidential debate ever, when he said – ‘Because you’d be in jail!

Americans were very upset with the FBI announcing that criminal charges were not recommended against Hillary Clinton regarding her emails. Anyone who looked into it knew she was guilty of numerous crimes.

2. Inexplicably Comey Reopened the Clinton Email Case Shortly Before the Election – then Drops It

Shortly before the election it was announced that the FBI was reopening its investigation into Hillary’s emails. Apparently emails recovered in the sex investigation into the pervert Anthony Wiener case ended up being related to the Hillary investigation. Wiener is the husband of Clinton confidant Huma Abedin and reportedly Clinton emails were found on Huma’s computer after Huma stated under oath that all her emails were turned over. In addition, an email released from WikiLeaks at this time showed that Hillary’s longtime assistant Cheryl Mills ordered the email server to be bleached clean. More and more criminal activity was being uncovered daily.

However, within a few days Comey came out again and cleared Clinton for a second time only a few days before the election.

3. In Front of Congress Comey States that Republican Emails were not Hacked along with DNC Emails

In March FBI director James Comey told the House Intelligence Committee that the Republican Party emails were not released during the 2016 election campaign.

Here is a link to the GOP emails leaked out during the 2016 campaign – Comey was not honest with Congress about RNC emails and this was pointed out. By this time the level of trust in Comey by virtually everyone was low and decreasing.

4. Comey States Russians Were Involved in DNC Hacks Despite Not Having Access to Server

The DNC announced that they were hacked during the 2016 Presidential Campaign. The emails from Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Manager John Podesta were later released by WikiLeaks. These emails included numerous seedy details about salacious and perhaps criminal activities that the Clinton Campaign was involved in. (There are not reports that the FBI inspected these emails for wrong doing and the emails were ignored by the main stream media.)

Despite Julian Assange from WikiLeaks stating at least six times that the emails were not obtained from Russia, and after not having access to the servers reportedly hacked during the campaign, the FBI under Comey stated that Russia was behind the purported hacks of the DNC.

5. Final Blow – Comey Makes (Another) Misstatement in Front of Congress

In front of the Senate Judiciary Committee in a hearing on FBI oversight Comey stated that emails containing classified information were forwarded to Huma Abedin’s then-spouse, former congressman Anthony Weiner. Apparently Comey overstated the amount of emails involved in Weiner’s sex crimes investigation and back tracked on his testimony. This apparently was the final nail in Comey’s coffin and the reason for Comey’s eventual firing.

God only knows that James Comey had a difficult job running the FBI while under the corrupt and criminal Obama Administration. In spite of this he will go down in history as one of the most controversial and outspoken FBI Directors ever. There will always be a question mark attached to his name.
