The reason the Democrats – and only the Democrats – side with Iran.Â
This online article by Mike Bski is a masterpiece.
I think I finally got it figured out. The reason Democrats — and only Democrats — side with Iran.
I think I finally got it figured out.
The reason Democrats — and only Democrats — side with Iran.
Not “only American politicians.” I mean globally. Every. Single. Country on the planet. Left-wing governments, right-wing governments, center governments — every democratic nation on earth looked at Iran during Operation Epic Fury and said no. RUSSIA stepped back. Russia, who propped Iran up geopolitically for decades, found a line they would not cross.
Democrats stepped forward.
That is not a foreign policy miscalculation. That is not “nuance.” That is not some galaxy-brained geopolitical chess move by people whose foreign policy credentials I have watched evaporate in real time. No. I spent a long time trying to figure out what possible logical framework explains it, and I landed on the only answer that fits everything.
ENVY.
They are jealous. Genuinely, deeply, embarrassingly jealous of what Iran built. Once you see it, you cannot unsee it — and I am about to make sure you cannot unsee it either.
— OPEN ANOTHER TAB RIGHT NOW —
I am not kidding. Type “Iran 1950s photos” into Google. Put this down for 60 seconds and actually look.
I will wait.
…
You back? Good.
Women in miniskirts on Tehrani streets. Packed nightclubs. University campuses full of men AND women studying side by side. Tehran looked like Paris. A thriving, cosmopolitan, Westernized republic with a growing middle class and real civil liberties, and people who were — imagine this — actually free. Iran was not always what it is today. It used to be something the Left would have CELEBRATED.
Then 1979 happened.
One revolutionary movement. That is all it took. The free press — gone. Independent courts — gone. Political opposition — imprisoned, executed, or exiled. Religion captured and repackaged as a control mechanism. The entire population engineered to need the government for food, for fuel, for work, for survival. Dissent became economically catastrophic. Socially suicidal. Sometimes literally fatal.
They took a free country. Built a cage around every living person in it. And called it a revolution.
The American Left watches that and does not see a horror story.
They see a blueprint.
— THE PLAYBOOK, PIECE BY PIECE —
Let me walk through exactly what Iran built and exactly what the American Left is trying to reconstruct here. Not as a rhetorical exercise. As a factual checklist.
TAKE THE GUNS FIRST
This one should be obvious to anyone paying attention, but somehow it never gets said plainly enough, so let me be plain.
Every authoritarian government in modern history disarmed its civilian population before it consolidated power. Every single one. This is not a right-wing talking point. It is a pattern so consistent that a high school student doing a history project would spot it by lunchtime — assuming the teacher had not been told to skip that part of the lesson.
After 1979, Iran moved quickly. Deliberately. Systematically. Civilian firearm ownership was restricted, then effectively eliminated for ordinary citizens outside of regime-approved contexts. Today Iran has roughly 7 firearms per 100 civilians. The government does not view an unarmed population as a safety measure. They view it as a PREREQUISITE for everything else on this list. Because it is.
Venezuela. Hugo Chavez passed Venezuela’s gun ban in 2012. Disarmament was framed as a public safety measure, because it is always framed as a public safety measure. In the years that followed, Venezuela’s homicide rate did not drop — it climbed to among the highest on earth. The guns did not disappear. They just moved from law-abiding citizens to regime loyalists and criminal networks the regime found useful. The people who could have resisted were left with nothing.
Cuba, 1959. One of Castro’s first acts. Confiscation. Registration. Then confiscation of the registered ones. Same script, different decade.
China. The Soviet Union. North Korea. Every regime that dismantled what their predecessors built did the same thing first, and they all used the same language to do it — safety, common sense, nobody needs a weapon of war.
Now watch what the American Left pushes with more consistent energy than literally any other domestic policy issue. Universal background checks that BECOME universal registries once the database exists. “Assault weapons” bans where the definition of “assault weapon” quietly expands with every new session. Red flag laws with no due process — meaning the government removes your ability to resist based on an accusation, before any conviction, before any hearing, sometimes before you even know it happened. “Buyback” programs that are not buybacks because the government never owned them and are not voluntary when the alternative is prosecution.
Tell me what the end state of that trajectory looks like. Take your time.
I will wait.
…
Quinn’s Law #2: “If you want to know what liberals are up to, pay attention to what they accuse conservatives of doing.” They call us authoritarians. Then they spend thirty years building toward the exact disarmament policy that every authoritarian government on earth implemented on day one. I am not drawing a comparison. I am reading a pattern.
CONTROL THE INFORMATION FIRST
In 1963, Congressman A.S. Herlong Jr. read 45 Communist Goals into the Congressional Record. Goal #20: infiltrate the press. Goal #21: gain control of radio, television, and motion pictures.
Iran did not infiltrate anything. They seized it by force in 1979 and have run state media ever since — Press TV, Fars News, Tasnim — propaganda infrastructure that produces whatever narrative the regime needs and never, ever issues corrections because corrections are not the point.
The American Left could not take the press by force. So they did something arguably more efficient. They captured the institutions that produce the people who run it. Journalism schools that openly abandoned the concept of balanced reporting and replaced it with advocacy framing. Hollywood donor records that run 99.7% Democratic. Social media content moderation boards staffed entirely by ideological allies who make decisions about what is and is not “misinformation” and who somehow always seem to reach the same partisan conclusions. They did not need guns. They had tenure committees and graduate programs and platform enforcement policies.
Iran took 60 days to control their press after the revolution. The Left took 60 years. Different timeline. Identical destination.
MAKE THEM NEED YOU
Iran’s subsidy architecture — cheap fuel, state food distribution, government employment programs — was not generosity. It was engineering. It was built so that the economic cost of dissent was more than ordinary families could absorb. Lose your government position for the wrong opinion, and suddenly you cannot heat your home or feed your children. The regime did not need to imprison everyone. It just needed to make compliance financially necessary.
Quinn’s Law #4: “Liberalism only succeeds when the public is scared into believing it will not survive without it.”
Forty-two million Americans on food assistance. COVID subsidy extensions that were deliberately designed with expiration dates so that when they expired — as scheduled, as planned — Democrats could point at Republicans and say you did this to these people. Student loan forgiveness theater that creates dependency on administrative grace rather than actual relief. Every program designed not to lift people out of need but to make the need permanent and the benefactor irreplaceable.
That is not a safety net. A safety net catches you so you can get back on your feet. This is a leash.
Iran built theirs in a single revolutionary year. The American Left is building theirs across generations. Which is — and I say this as a science teacher who has spent a career thinking about how systems work — actually more impressive, in the way that a slow carbon monoxide leak is more impressive than a fire. You do not notice it until it is almost too late.
RESTRUCTURE UNTIL LOSING IS IMPOSSIBLE
Iran’s Guardian Council reviews every candidate for office and disqualifies anyone deemed a threat to the regime. There are no unexpected election outcomes when you control who is allowed to be on the ballot. No messy situations where the wrong person wins. The system is structured so that structural change is structurally impossible.
Pack the Supreme Court with enough justices to guarantee outcomes regardless of legal merit. Abolish the Electoral College so that four or five population centers permanently dictate national elections. Eliminate the filibuster the moment it becomes inconvenient, because protecting minority rights is only valuable when you are the minority. Add states specifically to permanently shift the Senate majority. None of these proposals are about democracy. They are about making it impossible for the opposition to ever win again. The Left just needs the American public to believe it is about democracy while they do it.
THE GOD PROBLEM
The Left’s entire project has one structural requirement: government must be the ultimate source of provision, of meaning, of salvation, of identity. You cannot allow anything to compete with that role. And nothing competes with government’s authority over human beings quite like the belief that there is a higher authority that government must answer to.
Iran solved this by capturing religion. The clerics BECAME the government. Divine authority and state authority fused so completely that obeying one meant obeying the other, and questioning one meant challenging both. Brilliant, in the most catastrophically evil way imaginable.
Goal #27 from the 1963 Congressional Record: eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in schools on grounds that it violates the principle of separation of church and state. Replace religion with social religion. The Left does not hate God. They want the job.
VENEZUELA: PROOF OF CONCEPT
When the Left defended Maduro — and they did, actively, and on record — they were not making a foreign policy error. They were admiring a working prototype.
Venezuela was once the fourth-wealthiest nation in South America. Nationalized industries. Seized private property. Made the population dependent on state food distribution. Restructured every institution. Nine million people fled. One-third of the entire country. The largest refugee crisis in the Western hemisphere. People lost 20 to 30 pounds involuntarily because socialism cannot feed the people it claims to liberate.
Democrats defended it.
Not because they are stupid. Not because they did not see the suffering. Because Venezuela proved the model works. You CAN do this. You CAN build enough dependency, restructure enough institutions, and consolidate enough power to hold a country indefinitely against the will of its own population. That is the part that resonated. Not the suffering. The staying power.
Not a single American is fleeing TO Venezuela. Every Venezuelan with any options left is fleeing FROM it. Somehow that data point never comes up in the defenses.
— THE PART THEY ENVY MOST: THE LYING —
Now. HERE is the piece that ties everything together. Because everything above — the disarmament, the dependency, the media control, the institutional restructuring — all of it requires the same foundation to function. The lie has to land before the truth can catch up.
Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis. These are not occasional spin artists. They are architecturally, institutionally, professionally committed to disinformation as the primary mechanism of political control. And they are WORLD CLASS at it. And Western media helps them for free. Every time.
Let me walk you through the list. And I want you to notice the pattern, because there IS one — and then I want to show you where you have already SEEN this pattern used domestically, right here, in English, on your television.
THE HOSPITAL THAT WAS NOT BOMBED
October 17, 2023. Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, Gaza. Hamas immediately blamed an Israeli airstrike. 500 dead. Possibly 1,000. Iranian state media ran wall-to-wall “war crime” coverage within the hour. The story spread globally before a single follow-up question was asked. It canceled a diplomatic summit. Triggered riots across the Middle East. Leaders made statements. Headlines ran everywhere.
U.S. intelligence, independent analysts, the New York Times visual team, and Channel 4 News all confirmed within days: misfired rocket from Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Landing in a parking lot. Casualty estimates revised dramatically downward from Hamas’s original number.
Iranian media never corrected it. They kept running the original story for weeks.
The correction is not the point. Getting the lie into global circulation FIRST is the point. Truth always runs a few laps behind — and by the time it catches up, people have already formed opinions, already protested, already made statements they now cannot walk back.
THE CHILDREN THEY USED AS PROPS
July 2025. A photograph went viral across every major platform. A skeletal, emaciated toddler named Muhammad Zakariya Ayyoub al-Matouq, cradled in his mother’s arms, photographed by Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency. The New York Times ran it. NBC. The Guardian. CNN. The BBC actually interviewed the photographer. Australia’s Prime Minister said it broke his heart. The story was everywhere before lunch.
One problem.
Muhammad has cerebral palsy. A genetic condition. Present since birth. Nothing to do with food supply, Israeli policy, or the war.
And here is the part that should genuinely make your hands shake: in the same photo session, wider shots exist showing Muhammad’s mother and his three-year-old brother Joud. Both healthy. Neither showing any sign of starvation. Those shots were cropped out, blurred, or simply not selected. Every major outlet published only the images showing the frail child — without the healthy family standing right next to him in the same room.
The New York Times quietly issued a clarification days later. Buried. Seen by a fraction of the people who saw the original story. Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett called it a blood libel. He was not wrong.
A week later: same cycle, same system — a girl named Maryam. Also presented as starvation. Also had an underlying medical condition. Then COGAT identified Abdullah Hani Muhammad Abu Zarqa, circulated as a starvation victim, who had a bone-thinning genetic disease and had actually traveled to Jerusalem for medical treatment four months BEFORE the war began.
This is not accidental. Hamas identifies medically vulnerable children, photographs them with deliberate framing, strips every piece of context that would complicate the narrative, and routes the images to a media apparatus that asks zero questions because the story fits what they were already going to say.
Meanwhile — hold this — the people in this conflict actually being deliberately starved were the Israeli hostages Hamas dragged into tunnels on October 7th. They came out looking like concentration camp survivors. Skeletal. Hollow-eyed. Destroyed. That is what deliberate starvation looks like. Hamas did that. On purpose. To the people they kidnapped. Nobody built a viral photo campaign around that. Curious.
THE MASSACRE THAT NEVER HAPPENED
February 2024. “The flour massacre.” Hamas claimed Israeli forces opened fire on civilians gathering for aid. Over 100 dead. Global outrage. More ceasefire calls. Drone footage released later showed no shootings at the time Hamas described. Deaths resulted from crowd chaos — and from Hamas gunfire. The massacre framing persisted because the correction, again, arrived too late to matter.
THE MILITARY BASE UNDER THE HOSPITAL
When the IDF entered Al-Shifa Hospital in November 2023, Hamas and aligned media screamed unprovoked attack on a civilian medical facility. No militants. No weapons. Just doctors and patients. A war crime.
What the IDF found: tunnels. Weapons. Evidence of a command and control center operating directly beneath a pediatric ward. Hostages had been held there. It was all documented.
Hamas denied it existed. Iranian state media called the evidence fabricated. Some Western outlets treated “IDF says” and “Hamas says” as equally credible — as if one side had not just been caught running a military operation under a children’s hospital.
THE ATTACK NOBODY CLAIMED
July 27, 2024. Majdal Shams. A rocket hit a soccer field in the Golan Heights during a youth game. Twelve children and teenagers killed. Ballistic analysis, shrapnel forensics, and U.S. intelligence all confirmed: a Falaq-1 rocket, Iranian-made, consistent with Hezbollah’s known arsenal, fired from southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah’s spokesman immediately denied it. Suggested maybe it was a malfunctioning Israeli interceptor. Iranian media amplified the denial. Lebanese officials echoed it.
The evidence was overwhelming. The denial was not aimed at people who would look at the evidence. It was aimed at people who would hear “disputed” and assume the truth was somewhere in the middle.
THE OCTOBER 7 DENIALS
Hamas officials claimed they only targeted military sites. That civilian death reports were fabricated. That rape and mutilation accounts were propaganda. That the videos were staged. That the 1,200 dead were mostly soldiers.
There were videos. Survivor testimony. Captured Hamas documents describing deliberate civilian targeting in explicit operational language. The UN confirmed systematic sexual violence.
The denial was never meant to convince people who looked. It was meant to give cover to people who wanted an excuse not to look. And it worked on exactly those people. You know who they are. Some of them are currently holding elected office.
— AND THEN THEY BROUGHT IT HOME —
Here is where I need you to sit with this for a minute, because this is the piece that makes the whole thing click.
The lying strategy is not something the American Left imports from Iran. They have been running their own version of it for decades. And they use the EXACT same mechanics: lie fast, use an emotional image or claim, never correct, let the narrative calcify before the truth can catch up.
“HANDS UP, DON’T SHOOT”
Michael Brown. Ferguson, Missouri, 2014. Within hours of the shooting, a narrative was established: Brown had his hands up, was surrendering, and was shot in the back by a racist cop. “Hands up, don’t shoot” became a protest movement slogan. Members of Congress performed it on the House floor.
Barack Obama’s own Department of Justice conducted the investigation. His own DOJ — not Fox News, not Republicans, not anyone with a political interest in the opposite conclusion — found that the “hands up, don’t shoot” narrative was NOT supported by the evidence. It did not happen. Multiple witnesses whose accounts aligned with Officer Wilson’s were deemed more credible. The forensic evidence contradicted it entirely.
Members of Congress still perform the gesture. The phrase still circulates. Because the correction landed too late, was too quiet, and too many people had already built their political identity around the story.
THE COVINGTON KIDS
January 2019. Nick Sandmann, a 16-year-old from Covington Catholic High School, was photographed at the Lincoln Memorial. The image showed him standing, expressionless, in a MAGA hat, in front of Nathan Phillips, an older Native American man beating a drum. Within hours, major media outlets had constructed a narrative: racist MAGA teen aggressively confronting and intimidating a Native American elder.
The full video — which existed from the moment the interaction occurred and was available to any journalist who looked — showed the complete opposite. Sandmann and his group had been approached by Phillips. Sandmann stood still. He did not advance, did not speak, did not intimidate anyone. The aggression in the footage came from a third group hurling slurs at the students.
The Washington Post settled with Sandmann for an undisclosed amount widely reported to be in the hundreds of millions. The CNN settlement followed. And yet — ask ten random people today what happened at the Lincoln Memorial, and most of them will still tell you the wrong story. Because the lie traveled faster and farther than the correction, and by the time the truth arrived, nobody was paying attention anymore.
Lie fast. Use a child. Never correct.
Sound familiar?
THE HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP
October 2020. The New York Post published a story based on material from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, documenting significant foreign business dealings involving Joe Biden. Twitter locked the New York Post’s account. Facebook suppressed the story. Every major outlet dismissed it as “Russian disinformation.”
Fifty-one former intelligence officials signed a public letter stating the laptop had “all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation.” FIFTY-ONE. With credentials. With names and titles. Cited extensively as authoritative by every major news outlet and by Biden himself during a presidential debate.
Not one of them had seen the laptop. Not one of them had any evidence it was Russian in origin. They said so explicitly in the fine print of their own letter — the letter they knew would never be read past the headline.
The laptop was real. It has since been authenticated by multiple independent forensic analysts, and by the Department of Justice, which used its contents in Hunter Biden’s federal prosecution. Every major outlet that suppressed the story either quietly acknowledged its authenticity or said nothing at all.
51 credentialed officials. Zero evidence. Maximum circulation. Zero correction.
THE RUSSIA COLLUSION NARRATIVE
The Steele Dossier was paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign. It was based on fabricated sources — a fact the FBI knew and documented internally before they used it anyway to obtain FISA surveillance warrants on a presidential campaign. The primary sub-source told the FBI the claims were not meant to be taken as fact. The FBI used it anyway.
The Mueller investigation — two years, $32 million, 40 FBI agents, 2,800 subpoenas — found no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Zero.
For two-plus years, major American media ran wall-to-wall coverage of a story they had every reason to investigate more carefully and chose not to, because the narrative served a purpose. When the correction came, it was quieter than a Tuesday afternoon. Nobody who spent two years telling you Trump was a Russian asset spent two minutes telling you they were wrong.
The lie does not need to last forever. It just needs to last long enough.
Mark Twain said it best: “Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.”
Iran built an entire government around that principle. Hamas turned it into a military doctrine. Hezbollah runs it as foreign policy. And the American Left has been running their domestic version for so long they probably do not even realize it is the same playbook anymore.
I have been watching @RepJeffries try to run this operation in real time. He understands what Iran figured out sixty years ago: if you control the first headline, you own the story. Permanently. Hakeem is just trying to operate an Iranian-scale disinformation apparatus in a country where anyone with a smartphone can pull the receipts in four minutes. The infrastructure is not there yet.
Quinn’s Law #6: “Facts are the enemy of liberalism.” The push for speech controls, content moderation mandates, “misinformation” boards — this is not about truth. This is about building the infrastructure Iran already has. They want to be able to lie without consequence. They are jealous of a government that can.
— THE VOTE —
March 5th, 2026. H.Res.1099. Non-binding. Zero dollars. No military authority. One sentence, essentially: Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism — a fact the State Department has documented since Ronald Reagan was in office.
372 to 53.
Every single Nay vote: Democrat.
One hundred fifty-seven Democrats voted yes — I will give them that. But 53 members of the United States Congress looked at that piece of paper and voted to protect Iran’s reputation. On the same day Operation Epic Fury had our service members taking fire in the Middle East.
No nation on earth stood with Iran. Not Canada. Not Europe. Not our Asian allies. Not Russia — who finally found one line they would not cross. Fifty-three American Democrats voluntarily stepped into the void Russia walked away from.

I am asking genuinely. Not rhetorically. If I am wrong about what this pattern reveals, someone tell me why — when the entire world stepped back — only American Democrats stepped forward.
But what do I know — I am only a science teacher who spent 23 years studying patterns, a few of them in a country where the people running this exact disinformation machine would have killed the girls I was escorting to school, for the crime of wanting an education. Maybe I am reading too much into it. Or maybe the pattern is just that obvious and I am the only one saying it out loud.
Save this. Share it. The truth only wins if it travels. #MAGA #Veterans #Trump
