“De-Diagnosing” ADHD: How Sweden Is Dismantling the Disorder the World Bought Into
Republished with permission from AbleChild.
In September of 2025 the British Medical Journal (BMJ) published an interesting article about how Swedish authorities are considering “de-diagnosing” autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) for adults who no longer “want” their diagnosis. On the face of this one must ask how do you “de-diagnose” what doesn’t exist and who “wanted” the ADHD diagnosis to begin with, especially because the diagnosis usually is made during early childhood.
The article explains that the concept of “de-diagnosing,” also known as “de-stigmatizing,” is gaining traction among clinicians and that it began because of the “sheer number of people with these diagnoses who now are turning into adult age and being told they can’t join the military services or the draft.”
Apparently, Sweden, like the United States military, barred citizens with the ADHD diagnosis without specific medical waivers and in Sweden a medical certificate is even required when applying for a driver’s license. Naturally, most received these psychiatric diagnoses at a much younger age and had no idea how the diagnosis would follow them through life…how it would stigmatize them.
As one who can be assigned blame for the increase in autism cases, Dr. Allen Frances, who led the task force that created the fourth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and generally is credited with expanding the autism diagnosis into a “spectrum,” says “the best way to protect our children is to respect their difference and to accept uncertainty ..I really love the idea of writing psychiatric diagnoses in pencil.”
What Dr. Frances means is that children grow out of behaviors which, at the time, seem bothersome and inconvenient, but are perfectly normal. In fact, assigning mental illness to normal childhood behavior is the reason Sweden now is considering special “de-diagnosing.”
AbleChild would argue that “de-diagnosing” is as simple and mindless as diagnosing. Seriously, how tough can “de-diagnosing” be when there is no known abnormality that is ADHD? You have ADHD, voila, now you don’t have ADHD.
The problem, of course, is that the “treatment” for ADHD includes stimulants like Ritalin (methylphenidate) and Adderall (Dexedrine), which are the closest thing legally obtainable to cocaine. In fact, those stimulants are ranked by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as Schedule II – controlled substances – which means the drugs have a “high potential for abuse that may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence.”
Naturally, it isn’t the diagnosis that eliminates the ADHD diagnosed from joining the military or obtaining a driver’s license. It’s the drug “treatments.” These ADHD patients have been prescribed serious mind-altering drugs that carry serious, even deadly, possible adverse events. For instance, the DEA reports that “chronic, high-dose use is frequently associated with agitation, hostility, panic, aggression, auditory and visual hallucinations, and suicidal or homicidal tendencies.”
It’s of interest that the US military has removed impediments to enlistment such as ADHD because the enormous number of this nation’s eligible military candidates were restricted because of the psychiatric diagnosis.
Under the Medical Accession Records Pilot (MARP) program, people with ADHD and learning disabilities now can enlist without a waiver. The catch, however, is that if you do enlist, it can only occur when the enlistee hasn’t taken the ADHD “treatment” (drugs) for at least three years prior to enlistment. And, of course, once in the military, there will be no ADHD diagnosis or ADHD drugs prescribed.
When one reviews the enlistment issues that led to the change in eligibility, it is difficult to reconcile the data that the military is faced with when it comes to enlistments. First, between 2022 and 2024 the MARP program medically qualified nearly 10,000 applicants with about 60% of those recruits having an ADHD diagnosis history. And, according to the Department of Defense, more than 41,000 active service members had an ADHD diagnosis.
Clearly too many children were diagnosed with the fake ADHD mental illness and subjected to serious, life-threatening drugs that didn’t “treat” any abnormality. It’s also interesting that if those diagnosed were provided informed consent, you know the information necessary to make an informed decision about their mental health, those diagnosed with ADHD would find that the pharmaceutical companies that market the drug “treatments” have no idea how the drugs “work” as “treatment” for the alleged ADHD.
For example, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) explains that Ritalin “is a mild central nervous system stimulant and “the mode of action in man is not completely understood, but presumably activates the brain stem,” blah, blah, blah… Yep. Clueless. After nearly 75 years of use, the federal government has no idea how this drug works as a “treatment” for ADHD. But Ritalin is just an example. The pharmaceutical companies and the FDA don’t have any idea how any of the drug “treatments” used for any psychiatric diagnosis “work.”
“De-diagnosing” sounds like a good idea because what it is doing is finally making a mockery of psychiatric diagnosing. In other words, because the ADHD diagnosis is stigmatizing generations and excluding those diagnosed from employment and common necessities like obtaining driver’s licenses, the diagnosed no longer have the mental illness and can just be “de-diagnosed.” It’s ridiculous on its face. But this is how psychiatric diagnosing “works.”
“De-stigmatizing,” not “de-diagnosing” is a more fitting explanation of what the Swedish authorities are suggesting, as there is not now, nor has there ever been, a known abnormality that is ADHD. One can only hope that the Swedes will reveal a “de-diagnosing” program for the fraud of depression, bipolar and anxiety.

I was one of the first kids diagnosed with “adhd”.
I slept through the testing and they “diagnosed” me with “ADD”. Prescribed me Ritalin. I hated the way Ritalin made me feel and wouldn’t take it. I sold it to all my drug addict friends who LOVED it.
looking back, so glad I did what I did.
selling drugs to your friends?
Were you around and in school during the 80's?
ADHD/ADD has two states.
Children it means "boys guilty of being boys and not wanting to sit quietly and conform 6 to 8 hours a day under stifling conditions"
Adults it means "Somebody with arrested development who finds it too difficult to act like an adult".
If you don't have any of these issues, then of course it sounds like psychobabble.
Another angle is the rise of women in professional careers, especially education. Women have a different perspective than men when it comes to boys in particular. Boys are diagnosed with ADHD at twice the rate of girls. Why? Women think boys should act like girls i.e. play nice, don't break things, and tend not to sock each other. By contrast, boys break things, don't always play nice, play rough, take risks. ADHD is an attempt to girlify boys.
Another bullseye comment.
Narry a day passes that I don't think the majority. if not the vast majority, of young people diagnosed with ADHD are misdiagnosed. Back in 'my day,' a school teacher diagnosed, acted and cured most cases right there in her classroom, within minutes, with nothing more than a yardstick across the knuckles.
Our school principal had a paddle with holes in it. Not only did it hurt, but the embarrassment of being paddled at school was enough to prevent a repeat occurence.
must have been taught by nuns
I started to read the article, but then my attention shifted to comment section. Gotta go eat now.

The psychiatric push for the "Autism Spectrum" disorder was nothing more than a coverup for vaccine injuries.
nonsense

"Clearly too many children were diagnosed with the fake ADHD mental illness and subjected to serious, life-threatening drugs that didn’t “treat” any abnormality."
Often because a government school demanded parents get treatment for their son's ADHD, effectively diagnosed by the school, in order to keep him in school. How many civil rights violations per child were racked up under this scheme? Meanwhile, government schools were bending over backward to keep violent Black boys in class, putting the children and teacher in the classroom at risk of serious physical harm.
My brother was diagnosed with ADD in the 80s. He got straight A's and my parents decided to see what would happen if they took him off. He maintained his performance and never went back on medication. I grew up with the kid and I never saw any indication that he had any type of attention deficit.
Poor, absent parenting skills => ADHD.
Spare the rod, ruin the child. “Does that get your attention, Sonny-boy?”
Since the Western world requires a 2 family income to survive (thanks to our debt and social expenditures), the children suffer when no parent is available to guide teach and comfort them. A touch screen is no replacement for a mothers love… no drugs needed
Despite my disagreement with your other post, I agree with your statement here. A little discipline goes a looooong way.
My kid was diagnosed because he wouldn’t play pretend tea party when asked, and he preferred to play with the Thomas Train set.
What really proved he had “it” was when they pointed out that he lined up the train cars… a sure sign of ______ (needing Meds and costly special counseling).
I was like “that’s what a train is”, right before I shut down the interview, told the two tag team evaluators to go to hell and changing my kids preschool program
My little brother in the 90s was "diagnosed" and drugged heavily, as they did that back then. He became a full blown drug addict and only now is beginning to recover. Fast forward to 2008 and my son's teachers and principal suggested drugging my son. No effing way, I said. Deal with it. He's a child and has no problem paying attention when engaged. It was a little rocky at times, but I am so glad I had the chance to see it firs hand before my son came into the cross hairs.
If a normal teenage boy is bored in school, the feminazi education/propaganda complex will push to label him ADHD and demand he be medicated.
I am so glad to hear this. I hope it spreads. So many years I've heard people proudly claim to have ADHD. The way they announced it made you feel you should shake their hand and say "Congratulations!". Then there was all the to-do about children having ADHD and their special needs and their effing drugs.
Before ADHD everyone was bi-polar. Eye-roll. I am hoping RFK will step in and put a wrench in the works. Better yet, I'd love to see people wise up.
Just another excuse for kids to be lazy and parents to get a check.
I know people who have used this for their benefit. Selling the kids to the gypsies.
They put our babies on speed…..let that sink in.
For over 25 years, ADHD was an attack on boys by feminists and female teachers.
'You boys stop fidgeting. Why can't you sit there nicely like the girls do'.
#Stop the 30 year War Against Boys.

Exactly that's what we experienced.
Way back in the day, my ADHD was cured with a piece of wood. Applied across my butt. Until I finally figured it out.
was Thomas Crooks so diagnosed and on antidepressants of some kind? Government is flat out trying to shield something!
There's so much hidden from the public that your cranium would explode if it all came out into the light. Well mine wouldn't as I understand we live under a Regime as all the peasants do across the world. I do my best to show respect to other peasants, be humble, not be egotistical, don't do evil deeds, etc. I do this to plant the seeds into others minds this is how people become one to defeat the evil in the world.
If kids weren't cooped up all day, and were allowed to run all their energy off, things would improve greatly—without meds!
ADHD is a made up bunch of bs.
My brother is a pharmacist. We have a nephew that, when he was younger, was overly hyperactive. I asked him if it could be ADD or ADHD. He told me that not many pharmacists believed they were a real thing. He said before you start medicating, look at the home situation first. I agreed with him. At the time, my sister's home was very unstable. Things got much much better when she finally kicked her good for nothing ex out.
Sounds like someone "manufactured" ADHD on behalf of Big Pharma.
Edit:
Ritalin (methylphenidate) revenue has grown exponentially since its widespread adoption for ADHD from the 1990s, with total ADHD drug sales hitting around $1 billion in 2000, growing to over $2.2 billion by 2003, and reaching ~$9 billion globally by 2022, driven by increased diagnoses and market expansion, though specific annual Ritalin-only figures are hard to isolate from the broader methylphenidate/ADHD market.
I've always felt that ADHD (used to be ADD) was a made up diagnosis. Of course your 8 year old is hyper, or course they'd rather be doing something else. They're kids. Now they have a generation of kids and young adults convinced that they're not lazy, they just have adhd. It's not that they refuse to get off the couch because they just don't want to, it's because they have "crippling adhd" that makes them have anxiety over the thought of doing anything that isn't exactly what they want to do…like laundry, or cleaning up after themselves. "I was going to clean up my mess but then remembered all of the other things I have to do too and it was so overwhelming that my body just shut down and I had to stay on the couch and play Fortnite all day because of my ADHD."
ADD and ADHD are not the same. One contains the hyperactive component, while the other does not. I'm not a huge believer in the current mass ADD/ADHD diagnoses for little boys, but I can say with certainty autism does exist. I think many of the severe cases of ADHD are Asperger's, while many of the cases are just uninterested kids. When you see online diagnosis services on Facebook, you can see that the situation is being exploited by the "doctors" getting paid for the diagnosis and the "patients" attempting to file for disability of some sort. Autism does exist and you know it when you see it. That being said, It's a mistake to lump Asperger's Syndrome within the spectrum of autism because the variation is too great.
Teachers want all girls in classes. Boys are fidgety and make more problems…HENCE drugs for them.
ADHD could also be manufactured by parent (Munchausen syndrome)
Just like trans is.
Who knew little rug rats could be active…?
Grateful to be an old man… if I were a child in today's world I would liklely be medicated to the gills…
Amazing I lived through my childhood. Building treehouses 60 feet up in a tree and climbing to get there on the boards we nailed in on the way up ")
Same here. Tree houses, riding bikes without helmets, playing tackle football without pads, and all kinds of crazy stuff. These days, it's considered ADHD or some other disorder. Being a boy is now a disorder.
I helmet required!
Mom didn't freak out?
I asked her years later. She said “I never knew”. Haha. That was a child’s life then. Leave in the morning but be back when the street lights came on. In between parents seldom knew exactly where their children were. But all parents were vigilant with respect to all the kids in the neighborhood. Getting in trouble with the neighbor’s Mom was almost as bad as getting in trouble with your own.
I can vouch for last sentence. I ate up half a box of honeycomb cereal and I was lectured.
Who told parents what we kids were doing? We even dug forts into river banks and used 2×4's and scrap plywood to keep the ceiling supported. It usually collapsed when we were sleeping or at school. Then we tried different methods, and went up into the trees for forts. We even built a rope swing between trees, that we found out that it wasn't safe. We kept hitting the tree trunk. So someone climbed up 50+ feet and voila, GREAT rope swing. Only one broken bone, mine. Kids were allowed to live, and thrive. No TV, except in bad weather and what was watched was pointed to adults. Perry Mason, Art Linkletter, McCales Navy, or the Ed Sullivan show.
Sounds like me, only more adventurous.
I got put on Ritalin when I was very young in the 70s. I was a redheaded hyperactive little kid but I made straight As in school and it had nothing to do with my attention span. That stuff turned me in to a zombie. One night I almost got hit by a car at 4 in the morning sleep walking. Thank God my mom didn't keep me on it very long.
Tranzine in the early seventies. My elders didn't like the way it numbed me and changed physicians. He took me off of it immediately because he felt that young lads should burn the extra energy off though sports.
What does having red hair have to do with your point?
Painting a picture with words. I could see him by that description.
AND you get “services” between OT. Speech, and a personal aide in the classroom. All about the “services”. Not that it’s a make work-make dough project. A person might think it’s an employment program.
What hasn’t been manufactured on behalf of big pharma?
My reading of the Henry Ford Hospital (Detroit) study recently presented before Congress comparing illness levels in vaccinated and unvaccinated children would suggest that ADHD is a real thing and is caused by childhood vaccination. My memory is that NO ADHD was diagnosed in the unvaccinated children. MINIMIZE VACCINE EXPOSURE!
The treatment back in the 50's,60's and early 70's was a hard smack on the buttocks. That worked 99% of the time.
Kinda sounds like CoVid Plandemic to reduce the population with deadly Jax.
People adjust. Labeling people "sick" with no way out is simply a curse.
Sweden alone did NOT lockdown during the Covid Scamdemic. It too had fewer deaths that resulted, compared to its European Counterparts.
On top of the dire financial consequences suffered by The West. And the dire psychological repercussions that vulnerable children endured with Schools closings. For months or over a year. For no good reason.
There were African countries that had almost zero COVID and anyone that does some research and think for themselves knows why.
COVID is the definition of the Tail that Wags the Dog…
I have believed for decades that ADHD and ADD is nothing more than "keeping smarter kids down." Public school teachers don't want to have to bother with kids that don't fit the mold.
How is it that private schools don't have this problem? My kids have gone to private schools since they were babies (Montessori mostly) and the students are well-adjusted and polite. Even the black ones.
Private schools can kick them out if they can’t function in a classroom. Also, while services may be available to a private school student, they may not he complete or comprehensive.
I went to private school and know of many kids who had very obvious ADD (not the over diagnosis type) that ultimately didn’t last long at our school.
My son has real autism and requires an aide which prevents us from sending him to private school. It was obvious from 3 months old he wasn’t anything close to typical.
What bothers me as the parent of someone who needs help is that we see kids who don’t need it wasting resources limited and kids who OBVIOUSLY need help not getting it. It’s a screwed up system.
They used to have Special Education in schools for the slow and retarded. Which is a perfect descriptive word. I had a cousin who wore diapers and drooled till the day he died. Never said a word, shook his head no, and ended up about 6'4" and extremely strong.
The inconvenient schoolboys the feminazis couldn't abort had to be chemically lobotomized during school years.
I can see that viewpoint. It's just a way different way of categorizing and learning information and the executive function in the brain fires differently than what is considered the standard norm. Ours go to a Christian school, and for those who learn out of order, they let them learn out of order. It results in higher grades and less hyperactivity, as well as less frustration for the student, the teacher, and the parent. The information is learned and better retained. There's no need for drugs, just a different approach in presenting the subject.
True, but it can’t always be taught in the same classroom. Public schools create a CF because they have everyone in one room with teachers who can’t handle it all.
It is also about feminizing males. Boys are messy and active, give them drugs. The vast majority of teachers are female, THAT should never have been allowed. Hire former military males for school teacher, they do not need a College degree to teach a child…PERIOD.
First world problem…if you can call it that.
Many parts of the world, well, they dont have the time
or the luxury of such nonsense! Theyre trying to survive.
A squirmy, maybe occasionally rambunctious kid is just being a kid. Back in my day, they got sent to the principal's office to chill out. A shy kid may simply be shy, especially in a new school. Doesn't necessarily make them anti-social. Better to wait and see if they grow out of it, than race to dose them up on Ritalin or an SSRI.
The problem causing kids got a wake up call in my school back in the 60's. It was wooden and had 3/8" holes drilled into it. Strange how that solved the problem with the majority of the problem children. The shy kids never caused any problems in school.
The nuns at the convent would whack us with 1" thick yardsticks, but the public schools just did the principal's office thing.
In my rural area the public schools would do the office thing once and after that if the teachers didn't have the guts to fix the problem, then the principle did.
That's what I had. The principal with the wooden paddle with holes in it.
I remember those wooden planks, bend over and grab your ankles. Thing is those paddles were nothing compared to what my parents would dish out.
In our school it was face the wall, put your hands on it, bend the knees until the wooden board holder told you to stop, then you'd feel the correction as your feet came off the ground from the golf swing. I saw that when using a hall pass to go to the bathroom in 6th grade. That's all it took for me to be a pleasant boy. Well having a Navy pilot instructor for a father helped greatly to prevent any action that others got in school. 8-D
YES! We were given the choice, to have them call our parents, or to see Mr. Spanky. Guess who we chose. We would get much worse at home and grounded to boot.
Hahahahaha I remember those days. Our school had a paddle…"the board of education" ……but we kids called it Mr. Spanky.
My father was a WW2 and Korean War pilot instructor in the Navy. Not one of my siblings; 3 boys, ever got spanked or given detention in school for some reason. 8-D
I was just discussing the scam that is the mental health industry with my neighbor yesterday, she looked at me like I was insane.
CTE is next.
ADHD is not a disorder, it's evidence of a normal, inquisitive, energetic healthy child with a short attention span. This is a normal growth phase for some kids and treating it with drugs destroys lives. Autism is caused by vaccines and the over medicalization of children. It is curable with some but not all.
ADHD is the excuse elementary school "counselors" try to use to place rambunctious little boys on Ritalin. At the end, when they graduate high school, they're wimps. Wall flowers. They look like their sleep walking.
ADHD is the excuse the system tries to use to turn off your little boy so he doesn't compete for the position he deserves in the game of life.
Don't let them place your kid on Ritalin. If your kid is rambunctious – he/she needs exercise and lots of it. Our great, great grandparents never had school buses. They walked, a mile or so, to their school house, AFTER feeding the chickens, collecting the eggs, helping milk the cows and maybe cleaning up a pen or two. Between 5th and 8th grade, they usually left school.
Years ago, the Saturday Evening Post published an 8th grade exam from the 1910s. I guarantee you, high school kids today would not pass that 8th grade exam that our great, grandparents took to determine whether or not they were ready for high school, or needed to attend summer school. Most left school after 8th grade anyway. When you see that 8th grade exam, you'll conclude they were well educated, ready to take on their small world.
My son dated a girl for 2 years who was on psych meds and ASSUMED any children she had would also need them.
I was relieved when they broke up.
ADD/ADHD is an excuse for the parents who do not know how, or do not want to, raise their children. I would be more concerned if a child is not hyperactive during the ages 2-6, or super active during the ages 6-10. A child is not a pet to leave him alone to play with a toy. To raise a child is a commitment, a hard work, a gradual process that requires a lot of love, support, patience and understanding, but it also requires a cold-hearted directing and managing when needed. You can only be your children's best friend when they turn 18, until then you are a responsible party who is in charge of their lives!
100% agree with the comment of @SleepinDawg, who said "Sounds like someone "manufactured" ADHD on behalf of Big Pharma"
alot of processed food too – not just drugs….Japan proved that when children were given 'normal' food available to them in Japan..ALL behavioral probalems disappeared….frankly most parents are clueless – giving their children McDonalds and other inedible crap – because it is convenient….there should be tests before breeding – most would fail I daresay
the ones who shouldn't be having kids are having the most!
sadly this is true
children are not meant to sit for hours in classrooms and 'learn' their ABC's – look at the disgrace of the education system…people are more ignorant than ever – Rockefeller just wanted people to be approx grade 6 education – not too smart..and voila…not to long in the future this is what we have – a generation of lazy, entitled, obese people….this will take awhile to reverse – we have at least 2 generations brainwashed
I’m here to tell each any every one of who is calling bs on ADHD that I was diagnosed with it at the age of 46 and it completely changed my life. I struggled for 46 years. I don’t struggle any more. Most kids are misdiagnosed I agree. That’s just doctors and psychologists being lazy. But I have it bad. My mother, all three of my siblings, my uncle, my nephew and others in the family have it. My colleague (PhD) has it, my family doctor (MD) has it, and my psychiatric nurse practioner has it and they ALL know they do. I see it in two of my three children. I won’t give them medicine for it, but I discuss it with them and tell them they can get by like the rest of us did for a long time, maybe forever. However, if it ever causes problems, they may consider medication later in life.
Real ADHD is terrible. It affects everything in your life. It can stress a marriage and hold you back at work. And people that truly have it are usually wicked smart. We are your doctors, engineers, professors, etc.
Yes, you and EVERYONE you know has ADHD. True story.
In the 1990's Big Pharma became the biggest drug pusher of all time thanks to Bill Clinton and his crime family.
Big Pharma funds and pays for all the fraudulent science pumped out by America's lying PHDs creating the fabricated mental conditions like ADHD and Autism with no actual testing done of the brain or the brain chemistry. Just like the voodoo witch doctors of the movies poof you have this brain disease and take drugs for life.
But Pharma did much much worst by paying billions to the media every year starting with Oprah in 1993 to push the big lie that a high fat diet is good for you. Today 90 percent of all medical costs in America are because of people eating a high fat diet destroying their body.
Then comes the Covid scam…with Americans still dying from the shot by the hundreds every day
How about regular bedtime, nutritious meals, lots of play outside, and discipline?
I went to Catholic school in the late 60's from 1st to 8th grade with Nuns who knew how to deal with active little boys. Thanks Sister Mary Joseph , you made me a better man !
I first heard of ADHD my son said that he was diagnosed with it in school. It turned out that over half the buys in the elementary school had it., according to the school officials.I blame the drug companies for experimenting on anyone without informing everyone about the dangers of the drugs first.
Ritalin was widely used as a classroom babysitter in late 80's early 90's. It was during this time period it was discovered a lot of elementary teachers that were in their early 20's were actually college dropouts. They started college seeking a 4 year degree in whatever their choice was and dropped out after 2 years when they found out a 2 year associates degree was a minimum requirement to get a teaching certificate. Having met a few of these young teachers it became apparent just about every 10 year old boy had more common sense and life experience than their teachers. This was when the era of drugging kids was initiated because the tender young blossoms called teachers lacked the skills to deal with the exuberance of young males so sedation became their tool of choice.
when has teaching been a two year certificate? Definitely not in the 80s and 90s. I challenge your assertion, sir.
You can challenge my assertions and my only response is in order to receive a BA degree is a minimum of 120 hrs. of accredited courses, beyond that I have personally witnessed people without any accreditation being hired as teachers. Admittedly this has happened in rural areas yet it has definitely happened.
Look into the MANDATORY classes required to get a University degree. Stupid, and nonsensical. Womens studies, gender studies, and those are the worst for society, but there are many that exist just to hire teachers.
Depends on where you are … and who does the hiring.
well said. I remember the same thing.
I do not think ADHD is a disease to be treated.
Drug up the rambunctious, active, exuberant, bored little boys in the classroom instead of taking the effort to channel their energy and instill discipline. Good Lord, what have we done to an entire generation of men ?
NNeed To do this with transgenderism
I was diagnosed with adult ADHD in my early 20's, but did not stay on the meds. I learned to work with a constantly changing attention span. It was horrible for school; however, it is great for work because it's like a built in multitask tool. The hard part is, and always has been the lack of good sleep. I don't think it's a thing that needs fixing; it's just a different way some brains process things. Besides, the world would be boring without some of us spontaneous and sometimes chaotic folks running around doing things out of order.
Best cure for ADHD is a kick in theass.
Psychology and psychiatry are speculative BS, half-science at best, and the pills all belong in the incinerator
I would not wish what my son has gone through in his 25 years on anyone. After loads of research, we took our son off sugar, dyes, non-organic foods, etc.; set up rewards systems; increased discipline, and so much more when he was in elementary school to see if his extreme attention and focus problems would dissipate in even the slightest. He couldn’t function in class, was extremely impulsive, etc. — all the hallmarks of extreme ADHD. We always had consequences for bad behavior, and have always made our children tow the line, like old-school parents. It wasn’t until he was put on medication — I fought it for weeks through many rounds of tears — that he improved and could actually learn in class, and work through his impulsiveness. He still has problems today, along with some learning disabilities, and never “grew out of it”. If I could do it all over again, I would have NEVER vāćcįnated my children. They were adopted, so some of it was out of my hands, and thank God I said NO to the Gãrdãsįl and cōvįd vāċċines. I truly believe his ADHD and learning disabilities are caused by vāccįñes, just as I believe autism is. Joe Hoft should research more and not make blanket statements about things he has no clue about.
Look into brain problems stemming from a imbalanced gut bacteria (fecal transplant therapy would be terms to start with).
This article was from Able Child.
Don't downplay diet as a chief culprit in the explosion of hyperactivity in children.
Garbage diet is the norm here in the USA.
Yes sir, me too…
That needs to be brought back…
Screw the liberal idiot that down voted you…
The dirty little secret is that mom and dad often get money from the state when their kids are medicated for ADHD. So lots of dirtbag parents put their kids on it to get money for drugs, alcohol and cigarrettes.
That may be true in some cases, but certainly not in mine. My kids were discliplined well growing up and my son still suffered tremendously — still does at 25 years old.
Well … our family is all over the map on this.
First, there was an incredible number of boys – mostly white – diagnosed as ADHD. Back in the 80s it was an extremely high number. We helped open a school at church – and all of the boys got extra time on our 'field' playing outside when the weather cooperated. When it snowed, they had to go shovel the drives and sidewalks.
No drugs required, all the boys grew up fine, and everyone thought it was a great alternative to wacky psychiatry based on the theories of a nut studying neurotic women in Vienna.
That said,
I've seen very real 'mental illness' – as well as drug induced psychosis and drug related dysfunctional behavior …
… and that's the sort of wild crap that will make you wonder if demons are real, if you don't already know they are …
Just because all the drugs are bad, and the psych industry is a scam (all true)
… does not mean there is nothing strange, mysterious, and sometimes really dangerous
going on in some crazy, lunatic's brain.
Two things can be true at once.
