The WNBA All-Star Vote Counts Don’t Make Sense – It’s Nearly Impossible Caitlin Clark Is Not Number One

I’ve done or led 200-300 audits around the world – a multi-million dollar fraud audit in Japan, compliance audits in China, Australia, Hong Kong, and other counties, financial audits of multi-billion dollar entities around the globe, IT audits too.

The results of the WNBA All-Star Vote Counts make no sense.  Something is up and I believe that the numbers are tainted.

1. Lack of transparency

Any time information is being withheld, there are causes for concern.  The WNBA All-Star votes were not updated and reported on a regular basis or daily basis and this allowed for room to fudge the numbers.  We were provided the final numbers seemingly out of nowhere and somehow Caitlin Clark was not in first.

The WNBA fan vote does not match the marketplace.

That is the problem.

In 2025, Caitlin Clark had 1,293,526 All-Star fan votes.

Paige Bueckers had 805,471.

Now we are supposed to believe Paige jumped to 1,045,051 while Caitlin dropped to 1,023,321.

That means Paige gained nearly 30%.

Caitlin dropped roughly 21%.

Based on what?

Not TV ratings.

Caitlin Clark is still the WNBA’s television engine. Her games are still the ones that move the needle. Paige games do not come close to creating that same national pull unless Caitlin is involved.

Not attendance.

Caitlin is still the road show. Caitlin is still the arena mover. Caitlin is still the player teams build ticket campaigns around. Dallas has not replaced Indiana as the WNBA’s attendance engine.

Not jersey sales.

Public jersey rankings had Caitlin Clark No. 1 and Sophie Cunningham No. 2. There is no public evidence Paige passed Caitlin in merchandise demand.

Not social gravity.

Caitlin is still the conversation.

Caitlin is still the controversy.

Caitlin is still the player every broadcast, columnist, debate show, fanbase, and opponent revolves around.

And not basketball production either.

Caitlin is still the superior player on paper: elite scoring, league-best playmaking, historic creation, deep shooting gravity, and the kind of offensive responsibility Paige simply does not carry at the same level.

So where did this massive voting swing come from?

A nearly 30% increase for Paige and a 21% decrease for Caitlin should leave fingerprints.

Higher ratings.

Bigger crowds.

More merchandise demand.

A clear marketplace shift.

A visible change in popularity.

But the public evidence points the other way.

The marketplace still says Caitlin.

The ratings still say Caitlin.

The attendance still says Caitlin.

The jerseys still say Caitlin.

The basketball still says Caitlin.

But somehow the fan vote says Paige.

That is statistically indefensible without transparency.

Show the data.

Show the process.

Show the audit trail.

Because right now, this looks like the WNBA trying to manufacture a popularity shift the actual marketplace does not support.

3. Who is Paige Bueckers?

4. Her production is best ever, but the player voting puts Clark out the top ten. 

Does jealousy have anything to do with it?  This too makes no sense.

5. Clark keeps giving and the WNBA keeps taking away.

6. The WNBA hasn’t helped with it’s negative actions against Clark.

Despite  setting a tradition for setting team captains for the all-star game based on top two vote getters, the WNBA decided this year not to do this.  Instead the league decided to bring in former players to be team captains. Many believe the W did this to prevent Clark being a captain.

7. Rather than protect the women players in the league, the W protects the perpetrator.

When Caitlin Clark was assaulted during a game, the commissioner came out and attacked Clark’s fans as racist and ignored Clark being pummelled during a game.

BTW – Last year’s captains have both been injured and are not currently playing after being injured by Alyssa Thomas.

8. The WNBA left Clark off of the 30 year poster – an insult to its fans and reality.

In summary – It is very possible the All-star vote results are tampered with based on all the WNBA has done to destroy Caitlin Clark and her fans.

(I’d be happy to audit the results of the vote but this league has proven it is not interested in any transparency concerning its actions against its best player ever.)

      • If the WNBA was less a social engineering tool supported by NBA welfare, and more a legit sports league, it would have died decades ago.

        This league is about pushing dykes, blacks, and undermining men's sports.

    • I'm a white guy who graduated from a black college a couple decades ago. I'd never seen a more racist environment in my life*. I think the WNBA, however, may be even worse.

      *Example: I knew someone who showed up early to class like I did and we'd chat in the hall. They told me one day that they couldn't talk to me anymore because they were being harassed for "talking to the white guy" (I'd seen it happen before). Today, I couldn't tell you the name of a single person that went to that school.

        • It was local, ~$1500 a semester and I was a HS drop-out with a GED. It was, however, a blessing*. I didn't get distracted with parties and alcohol, graduated summa cum laude, and, as I later found out, every company and gov. agency in the country sent recruiters there, desperate to hire from an HBCU. And this was before HR depts. were bold enough to just tell managers "don't hire whites" (I know it happens from my time in IBM management). I ended up with 5 offers at tech firms and defense contractors and missed the graduation ceremony (didn't care) because Sikorsky Aircraft had flown me to Connecticut for an interview.

          * I was walking on campus praying "Why am I doing this? I won't get a good job from this school and this place is miserable. God, I just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel." The immediate reply was "You don't have to".

          • Nope – pulled a fast and lucky one and found a Navy recruiter who was 1 body short of his monthly quota on the next to last day of the month. Spent the VN period on attack submarines. Not like your Dad – those Hun guys were warriors. I was just trying to keep the water on the outside. A Happy 4th to you and yours – and a special remembrance for your Father.

      • I had a tenant that graduated from a black college. She couldn't comprehend the simplest things, couldn't speak in normal English, and couldn't write a cohesive sentence and yet was now college educated with xa degree and she got a job as a social worker. She was such a good social worker that she would leave her own 4 and 6 y.o. children at home alone at 1am while she went to pickup children from broken homes where the police were arresting the parents.
        I doubt she could have passed a single test from any 5th grade classroom.

        • Sadly, that's not limited to HBCUs, though the standards I saw there were pretty low. My favorite professor was a young black man who taught calc III. A week or two before the final exam, the class was whining about covering new material. One student demanded, "When are we going to prep for the final"?! I knew what was coming and the professor nailed it, "We've been doing that all semester." I loved it.

          A few days later, he caught me after class and told me to be sure to come to class on Fri. I thought it an odd request, but promised. It turns out Fri. was the day we filled out teacher evaluations and he knew he needed all the help he could get. I gave him top marks because he deserved it. Alas, the crybabies in class disagreed and he was no longer able to teach the class after that year. That's an example of why standards drop. The professors that spoon fed students, allowed late assignments and looked the other way as people cheated got rave reviews…and eventually tenure.

          The big reason though is government backed loans. The schools packed students in as fast as they could now that they had an endless supply of applicants. Though largely unqualified, they had the added benefit of not caring about academic standards. The colleges started offering majors anyone could pass and dumbing down others. It doesn't help that many colleges dropped objective testing and most High Schools are trash.

          • I figured something was wrong when Bethune Cookman HBC had a graduating class of nurses BUT then they couldn’t pass the certification after leaving college. God help us.

          • My grandmother kept all my fathers grade school tests. He went to a one room school house that taught all grades in one classroom, about 25 kids aged 8 to 18. I found his 8th grade final exam. It was 50 questions on all subjects so I decided to hide his answers and take the test myself. At the time I was in 12th grade and we were taking college entrance exam practice tests. My father missed only three questions. I missed twelve and his 8th grade final exam was twice as hard as the hardest of the college entrance exam tests I had been taking. My father took his test back in 1934; remember this was for the 8th grade.

          • My mother went to the same type of school in rural VA in the 40s and is extremely well educated. What’s happened to our schools is a tragedy.

  7. Another news outlet said that only half of the players submitted ballots. There were even some players that claimed they never received them at all.

    Apparently the source of the ballots for the players is email.

    This indicates to me that the political motivated ones made sure their ballots were emailed back to the WNBA or whoever was doing the ballot collecting.

A junior varsity boys' team would crush these women. If I was advising CC I would tell her to leave the American league and go to Europe.

      A coach that doesn't stick up for their players, particularly a star player like Clark is appalling. I have to imagine the rest of the team is wondering if the coach is going to defend them if something happens to them.

      Remember this is the same Stephanie White that coached a Vanderbilt team where nine players transferred out of the program, including all five starters.

  27. I played at a high level. I know quite a bit about B-ball. I have three HOF coaches in my family. I could care less about the WNBA, but just for fun I looked up some league stats. Discounting fan voting and jersey sales, her on the court performance lists her as the number 4 scorer in the league and the assist leader. She could stand to take better care of the ball and her shot selection is on occasion suspect. That said, she’s the number one offensive player in the league by a whole great big bunch. She’s not promoted because it is primarily a black lesbian league. If I were her, I’d see what they pay in Europe.

The league does not have professional, but amateur referees officiating, so how is it a professional league?   106. With much more of this going on, it is good to know that Caitlin could dump the WNBA and become head coach at any of a number of college programs, and still earn sizably. With just her NIKE contracts, she would never need to suffer another WNBA game. Once she left, the league would sink back to its thug-level performance of being subsidized by the NBA; the thug players would be happy enough to wallow in their basement and Caitlin could go on to a prosperous and fulfilling professional life. Imagine the venues–granted, not woke venues–that would welcome her taking over their programs.

    • In this case, the "cracker" would be AJ Wilson. But I think Caitlin Clark would beat her in a one on one matchup. As a team, I think the Las Vegas Aces beat the Fever even with Clark playing. A lot of that has to do with Stephanie White's coaching.

  155. Believe it or not, people are dealing with Caitlin Clark fatigue. There are few people that do not know and believe Caitlin Clark is a phenominal basketball player. In the end it is ONLY basketball, its a game and most people do not watch it. I grew tired of hearing Michael Jordan’s name and I know some of his family members. I saw Jordan take hits because they could not stop him and nobody ran articles daily looking for clicks. You guys need to look at the videos of his persecution in the NBA.
