A dark money group connected to Wisconsin’s GOP Speaker Robin Vos is attacking conservative candidates in the upcoming primary in the state. It is against the Wisconsin Republican Party’s State Constitution to endorse or support a state assembly or state senate candidate in a primary election. The good people in Wisconsin are calling this injustice out.

On August 5, 2024, a gathering of Assembly and Senate candidates, along with Republican County Chairs, came together to address concerns of dark money funds and outside interests allegedly working with the Wisconsin Republican party. These forces were accused of actively opposing grassroots conservative candidates who are challenging incumbent republicans in upcoming elections. The group in question, known as the “Stronger Wisconsin Fund,” officially registered with Wisconsin on July 12 and has reportedly poured over $400,000 into the Republican primary race. Their efforts have been targeted at ten candidates who are running against established incumbent republicans.
Speaker of the Assembly, Robin Vos, has been suggested to have a hand in these efforts to prevent grassroots conservatives from succeeding in the primaries scheduled for August 13, 2024. Dark monies appear to be playing a key role in attempting to maintain the status quo and hinder the success of challenger candidates.
Local FOX News affiliate FOX6 shared the list of names of candidates affected by this dark money group.
Stronger Wisconsin Fund opposed these candidates in text messages, online ads, radio ads or campaign mailers:

Nancy boy Vos is corrupt and a RINO. Have written my legislators and even ones out of my district. There are those putting up a good fight to get rid of him and other vermin in our state government but don’t have support. To many dang RINO’s in Wisconsin. We have an election for candidates and two referendum questions to vote on. So, Wisconsinites get out and vote! My view YES on both!
