What happened to the handsome white man in global advertising?
This has been going on for some time and finally people are noticing. What happened to the white man in global advertising?
It seems every ad these days is missing one thing – the white male. What is the reason for this?
The white man has disappeared in advertisements of major global brands. Anyone know why? pic.twitter.com/MgjF6TP1AX

Could it be that our advertising agencies are racist?
Years ago, in early 2000’s, I attended a training where the attorney leading the discussion on discrimination in the workplace shared that the most discriminated person in America was the white male between 18 and 65.
This is likely hard for some to swallow. But his argument was that this group is not protected like all other groups are.
Forbes recently reported on the topic:
Back in the days of middle school gym class, getting picked for kickball may have felt as intense as any major league draft. There would be excitement for some, but for others this situation brought on prepubescent catastrophizing and “what ifs” around possibly being among the last remaining players to get chosen. What was so dreadful about it were the anxious thoughts of being overlooked and excluded. But of course, that would go unspoken as the captains continued to make their selections. But here is a thought: What if the players were given the opportunity to pick which team to play on, rather than the captains picking which individuals they wanted on their team? Well, this may not have necessarily changed the way the game gets played, but it could have empowered each individual player in a way that impacted the way they showed up in the game – because the fear of being excluded was lifted off of them at the start.
Now fast forward to the current world of work where DEI (Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion), when it is rightfully embedded into an organization’s culture, is changing the game for the good of all. And although the mission is to ensure that employees of all genders, races and ethnicities, abilities and disabilities, religions, cultures, ages, and sexual orientations are included, have their voices heard, and receive opportunities for advancement…there is a group that has been feeling excluded from these efforts – white men.
Maybe things haven’t changed.
If you notice the coalitions the Left setup, they always exclude one group.
I have found most people have not heard about the Protected Classes of people and the extra protection they get from the law.
It is easier to list who isn’t a Protected Class than to list all the PC’s.
There is only one group that is not a Protected Class, that would be Straight White Healthy Males, everyone else is considered a Protected Class.
In a country whose ethos is All Men are Created Equal something seems really wrong about have Protected Classes of people.
