Why Are Christians Lazier Than the GOP
A friend of mine told me he was discouraged about the way things are going with the Republican Party, including the RINO’s (Republican in Name Only). They are Republicans, but they act like Democrats. As a result, the GOP seem to be feckless along with government corruption so deep, he doesn’t know if anything can fix it.
There’s a lot of people unhappy with the inactivity of the GOP. Trump seems to be doing everything he can, but he is not getting the support he needs. It seems anytime there is some type of progress, a Republican RINO or Judge trashes it, and nothing happens.
If we are are defining progress by the number of arrests of bad actors and criminals in or around the Government, there does not seem to be any, as can be seen from the chart on the right.
It seems that the left was very active in initiating investigations and arrests of anyone who disagreed with them and a number of these were not only politically motivated, but were blatantly illegal.

Here is a tongue in check exchange wondering why there seem to be so many RINO’s. It’s like the old adage, “Follow the money.”
WHY IS THE GOP NOT UNITED LIKE THE LEFT
The Democrats appear to stick together, with no known Democrats in Name Only (DINOs). They vote as a block and even get those on the Republican side to join them. If any legislation or election does not go their way, social media is flooded with people complaining, the streets are filled with protesters, individuals pressure others, and the cycle continues.
On the other hand, when elections or legislation do not go the way of the Republicans, all you seem to hear are crickets. The support appears much greater on the left, and that is precisely my point. Since morality and justice are the bellwether points of the GOP, those who represent morality and justice should be their Biggest supporters. This leads to the question…
WHERE IS THE CHURCH?
If you complain that the GOP seems to be asleep, then Christians and the Church are worse; they are lazier. In comparison to the left, they don’t protest, complain, or demand change. The one key voting block of the GOP is basically not involved with the process. At least as much as they should be, part of this is due to the Johnson Amendment (501c3), which allows people to write off their donations to the church. In exchange, the government requires the church not to recommend a political party or candidate. However, this rule has evolved over the years, with churches and Christians often believing that they should not be involved. In addition, even though there are no founding documents that say “Separation of Church and State,” many Christians believe they should not be involved with the Government. This has led to a great moral desert, making way for widespread corruption, fraud, and abuse. I posted a three-part series on a similar topic two years ago:

THIS IS A SPIRITUAL BATTLE
I told my friend, “We are in a spiritual battle, not in a political one.” We’re not in a Republican, a Democratic, a liberal, or a conservative battle. America is in a spiritual battle! Although we can say that the GOP is asleep, it must be pointed out that the Christians are even more asleep and uninvolved than the GOP is. What has happened today is that most Christians believe we shouldn’t be involved in the political process, and Christians have to stick within the four walls of the church. The American government needs Christians. And I’m not begrudging those Christians who are now involved and doing their best, I’m just saying we need almost all Christians and Christian Churches involved.
Why can’t we have more paid and non-paid Christians and Conservatives promoting their ideas and influencing Government officials? He simply said that if Christians are not involved in the government, then we will only have non-Christians in the government, and those non-Christians will grow to dislike the existing Christians and then impose rules and laws to oppress the Christians
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY
It is biblical for Christians to participate in politics or hold public office. There is nothing in the Bible to suggest otherwise. Joseph became a leader in Egypt, which was under an ungodly government. Daniel (served in a foreign king’s court). They both shaped policy to make moral decisions to support peace.
Exodus 14:10 (KJV) And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were so afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.
When the people cried out in the Old Testament, God listened. Where is the outrage today? I tell you, if ever Christians today screamed as long as they could on a Sunday morning, no one would hear them. Why, because the four walls of the church would be closed. Christians need to get out of the church, and into the culture, and become involved with our government.
Christians need to cry out to God OUTSIDE of the four walls of the church. This country needs the LOUD involvement in government that is required to maintain a Godly society, and Christians need to be concerned about how the government is run — whether by praying for leaders, voting, protesting, donating, or serving in office.
I pray that we can be involved with the government, the GOP, and the Democratic process in a way that brings morality to this country and shares Christ with the lost.
