The UnderDog Says:

April 8th, 2024, the day of the Eclipse, the day everyone was talking about, has come, and gone just as any other day. I am not sorry to tell you, it was NOT the end of the world. The combined events of this day had many people in an unnecessary frenzy. But perhaps, there are signs we may take note of.

The topics of significance included:

  • A Solar Eclipse covering all 5 of US cities called Nineveh and the one in Canada. Scary! And it intercepts with a previous eclipse at “The Ark.”

  • The CERN Hadron Collider (that have a statue of the pagan god ‘Shiva the Destroyer,’ at its front entrance) are starting a test to find the “god particle.” And people say the CERN logo is made up of 3 sixes (I’m not sure, but I think I see 3 nines, a “d”, and a backwards “a”). Will the group honoring a pagan god called the Destroyer will be successful in finding the true God? Not likely.
  • The Red Heifers. There was an attempt to launch animal sacrifices in Jerusalem. For thousands of years there were no red heifers, which are required to sanctify the Jewish priests enabling them to perform the daily animal sacrifices and other things. These sacrifices were called off because it is a precursor to building the Jewish temple which may require the removal of the most holy Islamic shrine on the Dome of the Rock. Any attempt to remove this shrine may actually start a war. But don’t worry, it’s not a happening, at least for now.[1]

Other things theorists postulated regarding April 8th include: its relationship to the Jewish Calendar, NASA launching rockets on the same day, two species of Cicadas coming forth for the first time in about 150 years, and the alignment of 5 planet. When will it all end????

1 Sam 12:22  For the LORD will not forsake his people, for his great name’s sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you a people for himself.

There are many signs discussed in the Bible. These include signs for days, seasons, years, signs in the stars, miracles, false messiahs, and false wonders are just a few. But don’t miss the big picture. The purpose of a sign is to inform and perhaps warn you of a something in the future. The intent is to have you change your behavior.

If you were driving at 70 MPH on a highway, and you needed to get off the next exit. There will most likely be a sign telling you the name of the exit and the maximum speed when you take that exit. You should adjust your behavior and slow down and turn. It’s not a conspiracy theory, or something you should ignore. You very well could end up in an accident.

The most important thing about signs is that our thoughts and actions should be focused on our savior. Anything else causes uncertainty and confusion. When we hear about something like an eclipse or anything else going on in the world, we should thank God we are his children and have fellowship with Jesus Christ. If any sign causes you to not consider this, and get worried or excited, then you are going off the exit lane too fast.  Slow down, calm down, and know this:

1 John 5:13 (KJV)  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Those are comforting words, and you should be comforted in the knowledge you are a son or daughter of God and when you see signs in the world. Praise God that you know Him and tell others about Christ. Don’t you want your friends and family to be recused from any possible danger? Tell them about Jesus.[2] Take rest and know His burden is light compared to any other alternative.

Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV) 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

So, if you were concerned about April 8, or any other date, maybe it’s time to chill out. God is bigger than all of these things combined.

Matthew 24:4, 5, 10-13 (NIV) 4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. …10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold…

Please, don’t let your love to grow cold. Remember to always love one another, forgive others. Keep in mind you have been forgiven. Speak the Word so perhaps others will believe.

John 15:17 (KJV) These things I command you, that ye love one another.

Of course, Jesus warns us not to be the type of people always looking after a sign. We don’t need a sign since we have the Holy Spirit within us.

Luke 11:29 (KJV) 29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign…

Let us plus be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

Matthew 10:16 (KJV) Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Be at peace and share the good news with others. God bless you.

[1] The purity of red heifer ashes (Numbers Chapter 19) is a requirement to purify priests participating in Temple rituals. Many believe this is a key to the building the Third Jewish Temple.  Since the time of Moses, only nine red heifers have been sacrificed. In September 2020, five red heifers were flown from the state of Texas to the land of Israel.

[2] Romans 10:9-11, 14-15 (NIV) 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”…14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent?

  1. Strange or catastrophic events are a good reminder to stop and take a spiritual inventory. Jesus told us flat out that we can’t know specific dates. The human race as a whole is notorious for procrastinating until it’s too late, so stuff like this helps us to stay focused.

  2. Shelly, thank you so much for your comment. You are absolutely correct, we should nor procrastinate with eternity. We need to see every action in the world to take our spiritual inventory and to be encouraged to share with others. GOD bless you!!
