Report #59- The UnderDog Says:

OVER-REACTION BY CONSPIRACY THEORISTS?
Since the election there have been a number of social media posts of people who have become overstressed. This stems from their unhappiness with the election results and their fears for the future. They are demonstrating their discomfort by screaming at the sky, shaving off their hair (with the intent of looking unattractive), posting profane laden messages and other strange behavior.

These posts tend to be made mostly by females. Some are planning a movement to stock up with as much as they can now, and to greatly limit what they purchase during Trump’s administration. Their intent is to harm the economy, thus hurting America and Trump. Some Women are also adapting the 4B’s (from South Korea) where they say they will immediately stop the following four behaviors :

1. Dating Men
2. Having Sex with Men
3. Marrying Men, and
4. Getting Pregnant.
(One wonders is this is a commercial for female-to-female sex?)

Some Things People are Concerned About Regarding President Trump

1. He Make All Abortion Illegal & Criminalization it
This issue has already been determined by the Supreme Court in that the individual states will determine their own abortion policies. Only .5% of all abortions are due to rape or incense.
2. He Will Become a Dictator
The U.S. Constitution and its institutions are designed to prevent any president from unilaterally consolidating power.
3. He Will Start World War III and Civil War
Trump’s prioritized diplomacy with all adversaries internal and external and is a peaceful President as his record shows
4. He Will Destroy the Economy
He will implement “American First” business policies that will benefit the economy
5. He Will Ban All Immigration
Trump advocated for stricter immigration controls and policies like the travel ban, but legal immigration continued under his presidency.
6. He Will Silence All Media
No legal or institutional changes significantly altered media freedoms in the U.S.
7. He Will Abolish Public Education
Public education remained federally funded, though his policies focused on expanding alternatives.

To these people their fears seem real. They can be an an outlet for feelings of powerlessness or disappointment, but what good are these behaviors doing them?  While it’s valid to feel deeply about issues that affect our lives and communities, there is a timeless source of comfort and guidance that offers hope and perspective: The Bible. 

There is Peace in Scripture – In moments of distress, it reminds us to anchor our hearts in what God has promised:

• Matthew 11:28 (KJV) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest – You are not alone. God invites us to find peace in Him.
• Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This reminds us that, even when outcomes seem bleak, God’s plans are ultimately for our good.
• Psalms 34:17-18 (NIV) The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

God knows our pain and wants to help us.

Instead of acting out in pain, consider the following:

1. Ask God for wisdom and guidance – turn to God and seek clarity.
2. Engaging in conversation with others that may not agree with you. Have them listen to you with respect.

Life’s challenges, including political outcomes, remind us of our reliance on God. These moments can either bring us closer to Him or push us toward despair. By choosing faith, we allow ourselves to grow stronger and more resilient.

When the world feels chaotic, let us remember the wisdom of Proverbs 3:5-6:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

When you turn to the Bible, you can find the strength to rise above despair and become a source hope and light for others.
