UAE Pulls Out of OPEC – Lower Oil Prices Expected – Win for Trump, US and the World

Yesterday, the UAE announced it was pulling out of OPEC, Lower oil prices are expected as a result.

Here’s one brilliant explanation of what UAE pulling out of OPEC means:

🚨 THIS COULD BE A MASSIVE WIN FOR PRESIDENT TRUMP

The UAE just pulled out of OPEC and OPEC+ effective May 1, 2026.

Most people don’t understand how big this is… but they’re about to feel it at the pump.

Here’s what actually just happened 👇

💥 THE CARTEL JUST TOOK A HIT
OPEC+ works by restricting supply to keep prices artificially high.
The UAE just said: we’re done playing that game.

➡️ They can now pump MORE oil
➡️ No quotas
➡️ No waiting on Saudi decisions

That cracks the cartel model wide open.

⛽ CHEAPER ENERGY IS COMING
Oil already dropped immediately after the announcement.
Why? Because the market knows what’s next:

➡️ More global supply
➡️ Less artificial scarcity
➡️ Downward pressure on prices

If the UAE ramps fast:
➡️ Oil could drop $5–$15/barrel
➡️ Gas could fall 20–50¢ per gallon

That’s real money back in people’s pockets.

📉 INFLATION RELIEF (THE PART THEY WON’T SAY LOUDLY)
Energy touches EVERYTHING.

➡️ Transport
➡️ Food
➡️ Manufacturing
➡️ Utilities

Lower energy = lower costs across the board.

That’s effectively a tax cut without Congress touching anything.

🏭 BUSINESS GETS A BOOST
Cheaper fuel = stronger margins.

➡️ Trucking
➡️ Airlines
➡️ Agriculture
➡️ Manufacturing

America becomes more competitive again while Europe and Asia are still dealing with high-cost energy environments.

🌍 GEOPOLITICAL SHIFT
This isn’t just about oil.

➡️ UAE breaks from Saudi-led control
➡️ OPEC+ unity weakens
➡️ U.S. gains leverage in the region

And here’s the key:

The UAE is already a U.S. security partner.

This move pulls them closer to a market-driven system aligned with American interests.

🛢️ ENERGY DOMINANCE, NOT DEPENDENCE
The U.S. is already producing ~13+ million barrels/day.

Not the same country 20 years ago.

➡️ They produce
➡️ They export
➡️ They influence

Cheaper global oil doesn’t weaken America – it strengthens the broader economy.

⚠️ THE TRADE-OFF
Not everything is sunshine:

➡️ U.S. shale producers may feel pressure
➡️ Energy stocks could dip short term
➡️ Smaller operators may get squeezed

But zoom out:

Cheap energy beats cartel-controlled scarcity.

Every time.

🏆 WHY THIS IS A WIN For PRESIDENT TRUMP
For YEARS, President Trump has said OPEC is a cartel ripping off America.

Now look what just happened:

➡️ A major producer walks away
➡️ Supply increases without U.S. intervention
➡️ Prices start dropping

That’s exactly what he’s been pushing for.

No theory. Real-world outcome.

🎯 PERFECT TIMING
With oil near $100 and global tensions high, this couldn’t come at a better moment.

➡️ Consumers get relief
➡️ Inflation pressure eases
➡️ The administration gets a visible win

And it reinforces one thing:

Strong alliances + pressure on adversaries = results.

⚖️ REALITY CHECK
Was this ONLY because of Trump? No.

➡️ UAE had long-standing issues with quotas
➡️ They’ve been expanding capacity for years
➡️ The Iran conflict accelerated the timeline

But outcomes matter more than narratives.

And this outcome?

📊 Weaker cartel
📊 Stronger ally alignment
📊 Lower energy prices

That’s a strategic win.

🔥 BOTTOM LINE
This isn’t just an oil story.

It’s economic relief.
It’s geopolitical leverage.
It’s a crack in a system that controlled prices for decades.

And if this triggers more cracks?

That’s when it gets REALLY interesting.

The Last Refuge explained the situation this way:

You might have seen the report of the UAE making a surprise announcement to exit OPEC effective in 3 days, on May 1st.

THREE DAYS!

The background story here is only just now beginning to sink in.

If the UAE exits OPEC that means it no longer has limits on oil production. That means effective immediately they can start pushing oil to the Fajairah port terminal, which is beyond the Hormuz chokepoint.

This announcement comes on the heels of U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent saying last week the U.S. was likely to provide increased currency swaps to the UAE in order to help offset the mid-east oil crisis.

WASHINGTON – US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Wednesday that a number of allies in the Gulf region and in Asia have requested currency swap lines from the United States to help deal with energy shocks and other fallout from the Middle East war.

Bessent told US senators that both the US and the United Arab Emirates would benefit from a proposed swap line that President Donald Trump said he was considering on Tuesday.

Bessent did not name the countries making such requests, but told a US Senate Appropriations subcommittee budget hearing that such facilities would help stabilize financial markets amid turmoil from the Iran war.”
The UAE can bypass the Hormuz chokepoint, and Saudi Arabia can pump oil to the Red Sea via their east/west pipeline.

If Trump keeps the blockade against Iranian oil shipments in place, the UAE and Saudi Arabia can fill the global oil void; however, they need to get outside the OPEC restrictions to do it. Thus, the UAE exiting OPEC makes strategic sense both now and in the geopolitical longer term.

In the short run the UAE, and potentially other GCC member states, needs financial stability as the switch is done. Enter Scott Bessent with the currency swap lines for the UAE.

Brilliant planning.

Iran just lost all their leverage.

Oh, and Iran cannot look for help/support from Russia because Trump/Bessent just took that card off the table:
WASHINGTON – “The Trump administration on Friday reversed course and extended a waiver on sanctioned Russian oil and petroleum products amid the Iran war, just days after a top Cabinet official said the U.S. would not be doing so.

A license allowing countries to purchase Russian oil from Friday through May 16 was posted on the Treasury Department’s website.”

So, the UAE increases oil output (exits OPEC) no Hormuz problem. Saudi Arabia already has a big max output (OPEC) and pumps west. While Russian oil (OPEC) is unsanctioned and flowing to Asia.

All of this activity done in petrodollars.

Yup, Iran just lost all their leverage.

Sometimes necessity is the mother of ingenuity.

  1. Time will tell, I suppose. Just this morning on the radio, I heard that the average price for a gallon of regular went up 20 cents, after having come back down recently.

    • I bet it's not really oil driving the market it's paper.

      Everything is fake and gay.

    • Allways the greedy oppertunist…
Consider just 1 or 2 days of increase prices at the pump across the Nation…while people try to figure out what is happening…
A ton of cash can be made.

  2. They are going to try to keep oil artificially high but it is like putting a finger in a dyke to hold back the water. The oil market will be flooded with oil from countries trying to take advantage of high prices before they collapse from the strain of over production

    • I am betting opec will dissolve and free markets will take over…
Then, no one producer can manipulate the prices…and the fake 'green' agenda will be gone.
The US producers NEVER HAD to raise prices…but they did.

      • I'm done with that garbage. They've been sticking it to America for 55 years with that BS. It's time to stop the price gouging one way or another.

        • U.S. refineries already sell under OPEC prices . . . Brent Crude was $114/barrel, yesterday, today it's $122. West Texas was $108, today it's $105 (OilPrice com).

        • US producers sell their oil at the market price. OPEC manipulates the world oil supply, which in turn manipulates the price.

    • Can you explain what you mean by "the strain of over production". It appears you are talking out of both sides of you mouth, so to speak.

  3. Any Sunni country dat can sell oil without goin through da Straights out to drop it to at least 80 to 70 bucks to put a major spike in da Iranian Shia's aggression and keep Russia from gittin too strong!
    .
    Shia want Sunni DEAD also!
    .
If da world economy collapses dey will be back to drinkin Cammel urine!

  4. The main reason our gas prices are affected is because we import heavy crude while exporting our light sweet crude.

Mainly because our refineries, which were built in the 70's & 80's, aren't designed to process light sweet crude.

Build new refineries and our gases prices won't be affected by the global oil market.

        • Propane was run in Texas for years.
          .
We were runnin a CNG 50/50 mix with diesel in coal trucks and it ran great, better dan straight diesel or CNG!

          • Yep. As a kid I lived in farming country and had relatives who farmed. They had some propane powered tractors, all of the pickups were propane/gasoline powered. It was much, much cheaper with the engines liking it because propane burns soooooo much cleaner. Gasoline is filthy. Then in the 80's the government stepped in and taxed the crap out if it. Demand fell like a stone off a cliff. Score one for the globalists….

    • There is already 1 or 2 new refineries in the works…One in South Texas and not sure where the other one is.
Venezuela is also heavy, and going to be back to refining (or at least reducing) their production.

    • No. we export diesel and gasoline. this stupid war will cause inflation like we have never seen.

    • Hopefully President Trump is doing that very thing behind the scenes. But I've heard through several resources it's almost next to impossible to build new refineries In today's America.

If you supposedly refineries take years to build, I'm not sure why, and if you start building one, and Democrats get back in power, they will just put a halt to the building of the refineries.

      In other words, Democrats suck.

    • Unfortunately, due to political instability in our country no company is going to undertake the building of a new refinery. If it were not for the Democratic Party we would have a much stronger, freer, safer, and less expensive America.

    • Our gas prices have nothing to do with Iran; they have everything to do with the British Financial Empire which Trump is dismantling. UAE leaving OPEC is part of that dismantling.

    • It's worth adding that the US has been prevented from building or upgrading refineries for decades due to burdensome regulations.

    • This is true and I hope POTUS get's on it quick. Refineries take time to build, this is something we need to fully commit to for true energy independence.

    • Trump has authorized a new refinery in Texas, but it won't happen overnight. I say he declares a Federal national security and orders the refineries in California, that were shut down by Newsome, to reopen.

  5. The price of oil goes up, so the price at the pump goes up the same day, even though that was refined from the cheaper oil. Scam.

    • It’s a gamble for them. Oil to refinery to pump is a gamble for them. Oil process to arrival to the pump takes about a week depending exactly when each company buys oil. In the meantime oil market prices might increase, again ! Thank goodness we have competition among fuel companies who battle for customers and have different processes to reach the pump.

  6. Stop repeating energy is touching everything…. when you have 80,000 lbs of cargo on a semi, do you think it really matters if the refuling it costs $1k or $2k? Energy prices in product price is really neglegible nowadays :D

  7. Nice article ! Spells everything out in simple but succinct terms. Now do one for federal chair Powell so he’ll lower rates and the economy will grow than stagnate..

  8. 6 weeks ago: 2 moar weeks!

4 weeks ago: 2 moar weeks!

    2 weeks ago: silence

    today: 4 moar weeks!

  9. Everyone complains about the price of gas, …… but they still buy it. …….. Not saying you should boycott, but it's not that difficult to CUT BACK on our driving. I know many people who drive to the grocery or other businesses that are only a block or two from their homes and, ……. they could benefit from the walk.

  10. Americans aren't going to see or feel a difference at the pump, I promise you that.
We will be screwed by oil Corp and, special interest, lobbyist, congress and our corrupt government oligarchs,, please don't hold your breath Americans, get you a bigger jar of Vaseline, because we will all need it!!!!

    • With the UAE leaving OPEC, and Venezuela already out, the other members will be forced to compete with rogue agents legally selling oil under what OPEC tries to post it at.
      Competition always forces prices down.
If you live in a blue state, half of what you pay at the pump is state taxes, and that's nothing to do with the oil war. It has everything to do with your voting.

  11. It always struck me that the UAE could cut a Panama Canal-like safe passage through their eastern tip. The Panama is 51 miles long, a quick look at a map says this one would be maybe 40 miles. They could control passage, eliminate the single point of constraint the Straits presents, elevate their standing in the world and make $$.

    • Piece of cake, until you go there and have a look at the terrain. You have to start pumping at sea level and get that oil up over the Hajar mountains ( 3,000 to 6,000 feet altitude). Oil flows great with gravity, not so much against gravity. They have estimated the cost at 3/4 of a Trillion dollars

  12. Joe is misinformed how oil prices work. damaged infrastructure will keep oil prices high and will be much, much higher than it is right now. The real price is over $150/barrel and the UAE will have little effect if any. Trump has let satnyahoo get us into an unnecessarily war and we'll pay the price for generations. The US Petro dollar is dead, effectively ending eighty year of American prosperity.

    • President Trump has a winning track record. Not so sure about all those saying how terrible the stock market was going to be.

      • Antisemite just visiting to post it's bile, and doesn't need to do 'homework'. OilPrice com has Brent crude at $114 and Western Texas at $105, today.

  13. 'Businessman' Trump has been staying at the Whitehouse with President Trump.
He knows the whole world lives off commerce, whether they like it or not.
The demons keep saying, "Trump has no clue" or an action plan to get out of Iran.
All while he's been strategically rearranging the players on the game board.
Iran hardliners will either accept defeat, or starve . . . but their neighbors will prosper, and be stronger allies.
He has also reorganized the stranglehold Lloyds of London and the other London based insurers have on merchant oil shipping, because their customers no longer need their outrageous premiums.
The only connection China has to Iran is the few bridges and roads north, and they might just come crashing down.

  14. I am really getting tired of our fuel cost having anything to do with the middle east. There's oil everywhere.

    • With the UAE leaving OPEC, OPEC will fall, and the free market will rise. Competition will take over, and prices will fall, just like everything ever built or invented has.
If the price is too high in one country, customers will go where it's not.

  15. Libturds are never happy…they bitch about gas prices while shutting down refineries on the west coast and now bitch about Opec disbanding…you know fart brains if you quite buying gas then the rest of us that enjoy ICE vehicles could save some $$$….

  16. UAE was wanting to do this for years, now they have, they get all the credit for going through with it.

  17. Remember when President Trump said “huge oil tankers are heading to the US to buy our oil”?

Boy I sure do. Imagine if that was even true (it’s not)… why on earth would we be selling oil to other countries when the cost for Americans is the highest in 4 years?

I swear it feels like DJT is intentionally trying to tank the midterms.

    • Your state is gouging you. They are not highest in 4 years, real price of oil. If you are in CA vote for a republican and see if that will make a difference, as right now CA is importing oil from other countries.

    • shhhh, no common sense that undermines the brilliance of the 5-D chess master himself will be tolerated here.

      • You and others are like the Hillary, DNC, MSM Russia Russia Russia.
One of you says something void of truth. And you come along and support it, void of truth, and the next, and so on. TDS Zombies. Or Voice of CCP and Islam.

    • And with a simple lie. "Imagine if that was even true (it’s not)… why on earth…"

You are your own expert witness, without the expert, without the truth, demonstrating nothing. Just sowing discontent and TDS.

  18. I'm a full Trump Supporter, but I don't see the gas price going down. I woke up this morning, and at the Pilot Gas Station on Indianapolis Boulevard in Indiana, the price is at: $4.75…. don't even yet break Biden's records, I pay by $6.98, but that is not the Golden Age for the US.

      • And it is. Oil prices in the US are based largely on speculation of what other countries will charge. This is why WTI is higher (but not as high as North Sea Brent). It is complicated.

        • Edit: happy now?

The API (American Petroleum Institute) has an explanation, but here it is in a nutshell. Roughly half of the price input (what they think it should be) is based directly on cost. There's the cost of the crude oil, the refining costs, marketing, and transportation to distribution. Then there's taxes. Those are fixed per gallon. Then there is the speculative cost. How much do I think it is going to cost to refill the tanks at my service station. If I think it will cost X to refill my tanks, that will be reflected in the cost. If I think it will by Y, and Y is higher, then prices might not drop as fast even if the cost of oil drops.

    • Gas was up at the most $1.25. I am very happy to watch Iran Mullahs lose everything and Europe suffocate on their Green communist agendas for twice that. Easily. Because I know it won't last long for the USA.

    • $4.19 here. The highest it's been since the war started. They keep telling me "don't worry, it's temporary, prices will go down, it's the mean gas station owners that are gouging you, prices aren't even that high, suck it up"…I'm getting Biden flashbacks.

      • Its "temporary" but you cant pay for it with temporary money.
Since Trump got in very little has gone down and lots have gone up,but its only temporary.

      • $4.19! You make it sound like it was $1.10 and not $3 before this started.
Perhaps you are a kick the can down the road kind of person. Like the last 20 presidents.

      • Those gas prices will be showing up at all of our stores with higher prices. It takes a bit of time for everything to be affected. Then winter comes and everyone will be freezing because they won't be able to afford a heating bill at even 60 degrees. Not to mention that we are officially a pariah and the world is turning away from us not towards us. That causes shortages.
But don't worry, the war will be over in 4 days.

  19. UAE will be massively building it's air defenses and navy. They need the money. We will be selling them missiles and planes. Unfortunately they will be buying warships somewhere else. OPEC was in danger when Venezuela came under our hegemony and Trump started drilling and pumping oil. This is good news for Europe which will have to reevaluate its green fantasy, and wean itself from Russian oil and gas.

  20. It's of little consequence since the UAE isn't producing any oil nor can they ship any. It only applies after the war, and if the UAE still exists in it's present form. Right now they are in serious financial trouble and have asked to set up a swap window at the Fed to exchange their worthless emirate dinars for US dollars. In the meantime, one of the biggest buyers of US treasuries is out of commission.

    • UAE is no stranger to massive overnight construction projects. They already have a very large and willing expat constrction forces. Take a look on what the already accomplished I the last decade.

When the say build a pipeline that cuts off the Straights of Hormuz, it will get built….yesterday. The joys of having a (gasp) King.

      • Much, if not all, of those foreign workers have left. And it doesn't matter how many pipelines they build because they'll still be in range of Iranian missiles.

        • When the call goes out, those foreign workers will be there in a matter of days. They are not stupid. When the work is available they go to that location.

        • They wont go there because then they will lose Kharg Island facilities which is 90% of their production

          • C'mon. We haven't attacked Kharg, or any other island, because even Trump realizes it would be a death trap. The Iranians would welcome us in, then make sure we can't leave, or resupply.

          • What I'm saying is that if they ruin Gulf States oil infrastructure then theirs can be bombed too and not just by the US, if Iran tries to hit Saudi pipelines then the Saudi's could bomb wells and rigs at Kharg

          • Iran has only been responding to escalation. They've only attacked Gulf infrastructure when theirs was attacked. And they've done it proportionally. Iran has warned that they will wipe out the Gulf infrastructure if Trump carries out his threats of destroying Iran's power plants and infrastructure.

Kharg doesn't produce anything. It's a shipping terminal.

          • Warned? Your beloved Evil Iran Mullahs warn all sorts of things. They really taught Israel a lesson with all their warnings. LOLs.

Regan got into office and they folded the next day? Or was is same day? The evil muslims and mullahs in Iran think that since no one has ever stood up to them in the last 2 or 3 decades they are somehow unstoppable. LOLs.

Soon coming another black eye to your Islamic leaders.

          • So Iranian missles are death to UAE and their workers.
But the US can't use missles and bombs on Kharg Island?

Man, you like to Lie and Obfuscate. What is it like telling and maintaining such falsehoods. Do you use Excel to enter your lies into so you can stay on the right track? How do you organize them? By topic. Alphabetically? Good search tools?

        • You really are stomping your boots for Iranian full control of the Middle East?

Oh well. You fail. Love to see those Iranian missiles raining down on the ME. Yea. That will make you more happy and them even more a pariah in the world.

What will you do when your Mullah buddies fail, fall, disappear and your IRG are murdered in the streets by Iranians? Another black eye to Islam.

UAE leaves OPEC. Iran leaves Islam. Not a good decade for you.

    • Are you kidding? The UAE is (soon to be was) the third largest producer in OPEC, after Saudi and Iran.

    • Wait. They are one of the biggest buyers of US treasuries, but they are in serious financial trouble?

What is your definition of biggest? 3rd, 7th, 12 place?

And you say they are producing no oil nor can they ship any oil. So their whole oil industry is stopped? So the UAE, the worlds 3rd largest producer is producing Zero?

Man, you like to lie, no matter how big and how obvious the lies. You love to lie.

The truth. UAE is producing 3+ million BPD in April and before withdrawing from OPEC. They plan to boost to 5 mill BPD. And they are transferring Oil out through the SE port they were not allowed to use or use much of while in OPEC.

      • It's the petrodollar. The gulf oil gets sold for dollars, then those dollars are used to finance the US govt by buying treasury bonds. It's the system that's been in place since Nixon took us off the gold standard. So it's not just the UAE. None of these Gulf States are selling oil. Meanwhile, who's replacing those buyers of treasuries?

    • That ONE pipeline can handle 1.7 million barrels per day. LOL
They're at full capacity right now. Once the US or Israel start bombing Iran again their oil sales will flatline. I expect they'll be the first GCC country to go down.

      • There's a lot of chatter about a pending US attack. I told someone around here that the side that breaks the ceasefire will be the side that knows it's losing.

Bahrain doesn't seem long for this world either. I didn't know it used to be part of Iran. I think it has a majority Shia population and may be part of Iran again.

  21. This war with Iran was the perfect excuse for any OPEC member to jump ship. The UAE can pump 1.5 million barrels per day through that pipeline into Fujairah and not have to deal with the Strait of Hormuz. India will probably be the primary beneficiary.

  22. Eventually the Strait of Hormuz will become less relevant as the Gulf producers will increase their pipeline production to the Red and Arabian Seas, Iran will no longer have a chokehold on the supply and if they don't sign a treaty then they can simply be blockaded until they do.

  23. Leftists are so stupid it's dangerous for the Republic. As one of the daily examples of their jaw dropping stupidity, the leftwing posters on Mediaite were mocking Trump over this claiming he has disrupted America's energy supply and oil would skyocket.

Yet any person with even room temperature IQ realizes that breaking up a monopolized cartel such as OPEC helps lower prices for the average consumer, not raise them. They were yucking it up as if this development would bring down the entire Trump administration.

How is it they have been wrong about virtually every major event for over a decade straight and refuse to ever examine why let alone seek new, more reliable sources of information?

    • The demoNrats are not a REAL political force:
they are a small patrol of fanatic activists kept up by a VERY LARGE voting fraud and by the VERY LARGE "entitlements" voting: ideas and information have no part in their political survival.

AOC saying "World War Eleven" is a typical example. The Ds could say that the Earth is flat, or that it is a cube…………… One said that the islands will flip because of "global warming" and is still in Congress.

      Corruption is their strength.

      • And brainwashing. One has to be a blithering idiot to vote for those people. Republicans are bad enough but at least they arent all democrats…just some of them…in sheep's clothing…

    • OPEC can hardly be called a monopoly when two of the world's largest oil producers aren't members.

  24. ➡️ Oil could drop $5–$15/barrel
➡️ Gas could fall 20–50¢ per gallon

That’s real money back in people’s pockets.

Oh cut the shit! Gas is up over $1 since the war, a .20 to .50 reduction is still a net NEGATIVE on people's pockets. Increase the price, then reduce price less than the increase, claim you saved the plebs money. That is democrat math, and I won't be having any of that nonsense here.

  25. UAE wants to fill the void left by Trump blocking Iran's shipments. The only way is to drop out of OPEC although I imagine every member is already shipping over their allowed capacity.

  26. Nothing will go down ,hang your hat on that.
We have a mess and all the feel good gaslighting dont change that none of this BS was necssary for the USA to be involved in.

  27. Because the market knows what’s next:

    ➡️ More global supply
    ➡️ Less artificial scarcity
    ➡️ Downward pressure on prices

Let's end the scam at the pump…we're getting screwed…

    • BS.

Have you checked oil prices today?

$109 barrel, and they are saying it's not out of the realm that they could climb to $200 if this blockade goes into the summer.

      The result? Global recession.

  28. Whoever wrote this article isn’t too bright? The simple imprudent can be deceived so quickly!
Did you not consider that the US dollar will no longer be used as the UAE is in the works to use the Chinese yuan-denominated for oil trades and that would degrade the US dollar?
The yuan-denominated oil trade would boost China’s financial influence and support its goal of internationalizing the yuan (dedollarisation)!
    • The UAE already has the infrastructure to make this shift, including participation in Project mBridge (a central bank digital currency platform with China) and access to CIPS, China’s cross-border payment system.
    • With China buying about 35% of UAE crude exports, even partial yuan pricing could redirect tens of millions of dollars per day into Chinese financial markets instead of U.S. ones.
    • A UAE move could encourage Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and others to consider similar shifts, especially if they face dollar liquidity issues.
    • This could accelerate a multipolar currency system in global energy trade, reducing reliance on the dollar.

  29. A "currency swap" means we're bailing them out by giving them dollars for their dirhams.

Isn't that going to cause inflation of the dollar?

      • Velocity of money is what intelligence teaches. It has to stay moving, that is the Numero Uno.

      • Velocity of money is what intelligence teaches. It has to stay moving, that is the Numero Uno.

    • Think its already been hurt beyond repair,I'm sure the politicians steal lots and convert them to valuable currency while they still can.I bet none hold dollars for security.

    • That's because the price of oil hit $124 a barrel yesterday.

It's gone down a bit to $108 but will surely be yo-yoing again.

Word is that it will climb to $200 if this blockade goes into the summer months.

And that will trigger a global recession.

Tell me again, why are we there at this point? Trump doesn't even seem to know.

      • Word is? It's in the Bible, or …. just something a few idiots have assumed …is what you meant to say.

      • if it gets to 200 we will be paying 10 dollars a gallon for gas then all other prices go up for everything soon people on a fixed income wont be able to eat.

      • That oil price that we're seeing is the paper price. Spot price, which is paid upon delivery, is much higher. Every single day that this goes on brings the world and us closer to complete economic destruction. People thought eggs were high under Biden; just wait.

  30. My understanding that current pipes are at full capacity already, so this is primarily a future move when blockade is over

    • No. Effectively, this move cuts out the Strait of Hormuz. Didn't you see the map at the very top of the article? Trump just played the Cabal like a violin. Saudi Arabia will make mouth noises like they aren't happy. But, they will be able to pump East/West, also avoiding the Strait.

      • This method has significant limitations:

Capacity Constraints: The Fujairah route currently handles approximately 1.7 million barrels per day, which is insufficient to meet the UAE’s full production ambitions or replace the volume that previously transited the Strait of Hormuz.
Security Risks: Despite being outside the Strait, the Fujairah terminal and pipeline infrastructure have faced attacks from Iranian drones, which have disrupted loading operations and reduced throughput.
No Immediate Market Impact: Because the UAE is already operating at the maximum capacity of its bypass pipelines, its recent decision to exit OPEC will not immediately increase global oil supplies or lower prices while the Strait remains blocked.

        • Spare capacity is the idle production that can be brought online quickly to address major crises. Saudi Arabia and the UAE together control a majority of the world’s total spare capacity of more than 4 million barrels per day, making them particularly influential during periods of distress.
You might want to go over to CNBC and read up a bit

  31. But wont you feel much better, even though broke and hungry, that people who chant "death to America" 6,000 miles from here are getting bombed?
    LOL

    • I know I am and have been against this stupid war we have no business over there were just stirring the pot and pissing them off even more.

  32. The City of London will continue to fund what is left of the Mullah regime in Iran but it will be futile.
Trump is going to save the petrodollar and gas will go down to two bucks a gallon before the midterm elections.
All the Maga fence sitters and commie concern trolls will shut up about all this ww3 stuff they have been pushing.

A new age is upon us and I feel privileged to witness it.

  33. This might lower gas prices if the strait of hormuz wasn't shut down. As is, how would this lower prices?

  34. The economic geniuses in the Trump administration are tilting the world's economies to align with US priorities and policies. Never before has a President had so much influence on world politics to help the US and its people.

  35. I sigh with relief that Kissinger's sin is finally done. It took several decades, but it is now done!

  36. I hope something gets done, my concern because things have been so high the prices really won't come down enough to make a difference or remain low. Once something goes up it rarely comes back down.

    • The USA needs to start producing something besides excuses, bring back factories and jobs, we let ChiComs control products made by slavery.
      Shameful.

    • If we start bombing Iran again you can be sure that the first GCC country will be UAE and their oil production will flat line. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows that the bombing will start up again; that's the BiBi plan.
So the US and globe can kiss UAE oil goodbye. But let's all keep celebrating failures. Failing is winning.

  37. What's up? Didn't the short bus drop off all the trolls to pig up the comment section? Why so quiet?
    BAHAHAHWAHAHA

  38. No. The oil ends up flowing towards the other countries pumping it up.
Do you understand how a straw in a sippy cup works?
Critical Thinking Skills as Rush Limbaugh would say…..are not so much these days.

  39. "luring" center for children, I wonder how mooslimbs feel about tampons in the boys restroom.

  40. Uh-oh, I spoke (typed?) too soon
The trolls are blathering on about how this isn't going to help anything. The gas prices won't come down, blah blah blah. I guess the DNC was late in sending out the talking points this morning

  41. BS, we control approx 30% of the world's crude oil and we're paying outrageous prices at the pump. The only ones that will get a price break (if there is a price break) is the oil companies, they are playing people for fools.

  42. Trump needs to be getting ahead of high gas prices in midwest where all the liberals are having a hayday blaming his foreign policies for the hike in prices. In reality, there was potentially a deliberate outage at the midwest refinery that within hours caused prices to go up $2 at the pump, but people with political grudges against Trump are focused on pinning this solely onTrump.

    • Sorry Cate, prices are going up because the world has lost 20/30 of the supply. Not complicated. Simple supply and demand…….

      • No, prices in midwest have jumped $2 overnight due to refinery outage. They were hanging high but stable related to Iran crap. The refinery going down forced prices up to $5 mark in states like Michigan.

        • Do you really believe that? C'mon……..Everyone with half a brain knows the cause is obvious. The war in Iran…….

          • Iran has been going on for months now. Prices were higher (In $3 range here in Michigan) but stable.

Refinery outage over weekend that still apparently has not been resolved because of labor disputes, etc…. this is the catalyst that caused prices to jump. Understand there is oil in the united states, but we cannot use unrefined oil. If the refinery that serves a very big area goes down that is going to have a enormous impact on prices in an area.

Essentially Iran crisis is causing prices to be up about a dollar over gas prices previous (about $2.86 give or take). This is high, but still relatively stable. The enormous bump that just occurred yesterday and is causing sticker shock today is because of the refinery outage.

I realize people enjoy getting their news from social media, but you should read actual news once in a while.

          • Do you have any idea how long it takes an oil tanker to get to it's port of destination? They travel about 10 miles per hour. All the oil that passed through the Strait just got to port. There will be no more deliveries. The real pain is just starting.

BTW, this is a worldwide crisis. Can't blame the high prices for what's going on in the US.

Very naive to think this WORLDWIDE crisis isn't caused by the war……..

  43. Would have been big news a year ago, but at present this is a nothing burger. They can't get their oil to market. Iran still controls the Strait of Hormuz. Will do nothing to bring down the cost of oil/gasoline/natural gas.

The world burns as Trump refuses to admit the obvious. He needs to end this war or things will continue to deteriorate.

    • Yeah, they have 1 pipeline that can only deliver 1.7 million barrels per day and they're operating at full capacity right now.
But never mind facts and numbers.
Trump is outsmarting them all with his 1000D chess moves.

    • A huge nothing burger. OPEC is dead. When countries are paying for oil in currencies other than the USD the dollar as a reserve currency is over. The Gulf states are ruined and it will be years before production returns to previous levels if at all. Trump's war at the behest of Israel will go down in history as the biggest blunder in geopolitical history.

    • Hence, the visit from the Royals. I'm sure the private conversations are epic. Trump telling those old bags the what for

  44. The oil companies are already over-charging. Use to be regular was one price, mid was 20 cents more and premium was 20 cents above mid. Now regular is the low price, mid is nearly 75 cents higher and premium is 1.50 higher than regular. Diesel that I thought was at one time much cheaper than even regular is higher now than premium gas…….so what has changed to warrant such distance between one grade of gas and another?

  45. World needed security of non nuclear terror state Iran, everyone can thank US President Trump for stepping up and doing the right thing, as usual.

Iranians and left anti Trump no matter what lying here can go scratch, sound and fury signifying nothing.

A non nuclear terror state Iran is worth $50/mo more in gas, and UAE's move out of OPEC is an oil economy game changer.

  46. During covid with people not consuming so much gas, the states lost a lot of tax revenue and many increased gas tax to compensate. Covid ended but the additional tax is still on, plus there are those who are seeking a greater tax to compensate for the state spending. It's not the income that is the problem but the worthless needless spending.

  47. I agree but still why is the difference between grades of gas so extreme now. Is it the cost of refining different grades or just randomly increasing for profit. I've attempted researching but nothing I've found gives a history of production cost increases.

    • It's actually quite simple. The Democrat politicians view the higher grades as "the rich people grades", as a lot of high end cars require the higher grades to run effectively. Yes, the premium grades always cost more due to the refining. I saw an article where California just puts higher taxes on fuel when gas prices fall to make up the difference. My friend who lives there can attest. She bought a Tesla. They look at it like it like if you can afford such luxury, you can afford to pay more. Soak the rich baby

Case in point right now, according to AAA, Georgia is $3.76 gal and California is $6.01 gal. The oil companies are not doing it, politicians are.

  48. GREAT!! Now the people artificially raising the price here in the USA, for the higher price of our own Domestic Produced Oil, which we do Not import from the MidEast will have to lower it permanently!!

  49. Gas will go down but no other greedy company is going to lower prices one red cent, especially the restaurant industry.

  50. According to geologists, the US has enough oil in Alaska, Texas and offshore to last the American people for the next 500 years.
So, I don't understand why our country should be dependent on foreign oil.

    • We're not dependent on foreign oil. But we're not immune to the market forces of supply and demand that determines the price. 20% of the world's oil consumption just disappeared from the market. And when demand exceeds the supply, the price goes up.

      • If we are not dependent on foreign oil as you say, then how does it become a case of "demand exceeds supply" (as you have stated) over something that happens in another part of the world? Shouldn't the situation with the Strait of Hormuz affect OTHER countries and not the United States? As you said, we are not dependent on foreign oil. Therefore, why would it matter to our oil supply with some situation in another part of the world?

        • There's more than one kind of oil. We're a net importer of certain crude oil and a net exporter in total. We can only refine certain types of oil. The oil is priced at global market prices and oil companies, of course, rip us off. Countries with nationalized oil have lower pump prices and some subsidize consumer since they produce so much more than the domestic needs are.
Just some of the reasons. The oil market is far more complex than the US pumping out oil and shipping it to gas stations.

        • We now are selling more of our oil to places that were getting it from the ones on the other side of the world so as long as we sell our oil for more we also get to pay the higher price at the pump.

  51. We are told we are energy independent. Why did gas double when we blocked exports from a nation we get little if any oil from. I have heard all of the "experts" talking points about a global market. America First. Why are we supplying oil to nations who will not assist us in securing their supply? Oil companies are making major bank on our backs.

  52. The USA is NOT an OPEC member.
We have enough domestic oil to sell lots of it overseas.
We don't have an oil shortage, we have a refinery shortage.

  53. "Most people don’t understand how big this is… but they’re about to feel it at the pump." Big is an understatement… This is huge!! Winning!!

  54. Lets hope the UAE and the US will work together to be sure the smaller guys can stay in business…
More competition, even smaller, is good for any market.

Now, if Russia will exit opec, and keep their prices in line, maybe the globalist will tuck their tails and go away…
Not likely but would be one huge chunk of them gone, and add a great deal of stability in World.

  55. Gas could never be .50 cents a gallon in the US.
Congress would probable raise the government gas tax to 3.00 dollars to make sure people wouldn't save a cent on gas.
State tax in PA is like 50+ cents per gallon. CA is the highest and Alaska is the lowest. Then you have the 18+ cents federal tax per gallon.

  56. Sorry, but you can't spin Trump's losses into "wins."

Like reopening the Strait of Hormuz a couple weeks ago (for all of one day), even though he was the one who caused it to be shut in the first place by starting the war.

Oil is at $107 per barrel and hit $124 yesterday.

And it could rise to $200 if this blockade goes into the summer and beyond.

Which will trigger a global recession.

Worse, he appears to have no off-ramp at this point or have a clue on how to get out of it.

What is his goal at this point (or at any point as it's always been all over the place)?

    Surrender ain't happening.

    Iranians rising up ain't happening.

And they ain't turning over their uranium either — not without Trump sending them tens of billions of dollars in cash (a proposal that was on the table).

But even then, they might say no (he did kill their religious leader after all).

Maybe he should take a page out of the great Ronald Reagan's playbook and just cut his losses and leave. Like the Gipper did in 1983 after the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut.

He didn't look weak for doing it, and everyone applauded it (and still does) as the right thing to do.

As he told Cap Weinberger after the bombing (who had told him the troops were sitting ducks there), "You were right, Cap, and I was wrong."

Does Trump have even one ounce of that kind of wisdom or humility in his entire body?

    • Iran is the only oil producer that needs the Strait. The only thing that was keeping prices high was the OPEC agreement. After tomorrow, that ends. UAE will be a free agent. Venezuela already left. The Saudi producers have increased their output to their western shores. The rest of OPEC will be forced to sit on their supply or compete for whatever dollars they can get.
Trump is not going to give Iran any money.
They will either admit defeat, or starve. They have maybe a week before their oil fields have to be shut down. They can't ship it out, and they can't store it.
When their money runs dry and their lights go out, the IRGC will experience defections at a higher rate, and the people will rise up against what's left of the regime, or they starve.
The American consumers might pay more for gasoline for a while, but they can go to sleep knowing the evil has been put down.
With the UAE leaving OPEC, oil will come down. Until then, find ways to conserve if you can't afford what it is in your neighborhood. If you live in a blue state, your prices at the pump won't come down anyway.

      • Yeah, right.

        Check the price of oil.

It's $108 per barrel. And they're saying that it could easily go to $200 if this blockade drags onto in the summer.

        • Those assumptions by the demonic media and globalist opposed to anything ‘Trump’ is based on what was, not what is. The only country that still needs the Strait open is Iran. Everyone else has opened new routes. With the UAE and Venezuela out of OPEC, things will have to change for the members who stay in the consortium.

        • "They say." That explains why you wrote in you earlier comment "What is his goal at this point (or at any point as it's always been all over the place)". He has not been "all over the place" and the goals were all spelled out at the start and haven't changed. You are parroting the MSM and anti-Trump'rs, and what you are saying is just not true.

  57. The United States limits the amount of oil produced so as not deplete the production of that reservoir. Trump doesn't know crap about oil production. The UAE may be cutting off their heads to spite their face.

  58. I see a weakening of the petro dollar while a simultaneous chokehold of China supply. That weakens Great Britain because they won't aid Britain.

I think next on the list is Greenland by force if neccessary, an end to British meddling in our financial system by end of the federal reserve . This could be a push to drain the whole swamp on both sides of the pond and result in the dollar once again being backed by actual value like metals.

Looking forward to that. No swamp anywhere….

  59. This is great news, however, it's only good for our wallet's IF…..IF producers reduce the price of their products commensurate with their reduction in expenses, keeping their PM (profit margin) the same. They probably won't and as a result, their PM will go up. The draw for a higher PM is too strong for most businesses to resist.

  60. I don't think people realize how HUGE, I'm sorry, YUGE, this is.
Wow. Trump is destroying the cabal piece by piece, right in front of our eyes.
Renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. That wasn't just hubris. Wanting Greenland wasn't hubris either. Taking Maduro was killing 2 birds with one stone. Maduro knows where the Smartmatic bodies are buried AND we can help them with the infrastructure that had fallen into disrepair and we can buy the oil cheap. He is opening up drilling in the US. He took over the maritime insurance that the UK has had a stranglehold of for centuries. You think the King and Queen showed up because they wanted a quick getaway? Oh, believe me, Trump will put out the red carpet, but he's gonna rub King Charles' nose in it. He's going to destroy Iran. He will wait until those oil fields explode and have Iran grovel at the table. China is probably shiteing their pants right now. And now, this? I knew he was playing 4D chess, but daaammn.
    Buckle up buttercups

    • Ask the Q Tip Head Muck Mook Omar about that LOL
They should pull a Ron Burgundy and put all sorts of crazy stuff in her prepared remarks and see if she repeats it

  61. Some countries are Learing a lot faster than others. And some barbarian places have a disfigured cardboard homosexual crypt keeper from the 7th century.

  62. Be careful, if Omar reads this, she'll think you said King Charles the one hundred and eleven

  63. diesel fuel 5.999 in small town Salem North East Ohio. Guess the camper will be parked this year. No state parks for us…..

  64. APPARENTLY OLD JOE HOFT HASN'T BEEN PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON HERE IN THE U.S. CONCERNING OIL AND NATURAL GAS. NEWS FOR YA BUDDY, WE ARE THE BIGGEST EXPORTER OF BOTH OIL AND NATURAL GAS ON THE PLANET. IN FACT OUR GAS PRICES SHOULD BE THE LOWEST IN THE WORLD AS WE HAVE BILLIONS OF BARRELS OF OUR OWN OIL AND IMPORT ZIP FROM ANYWHERE. THE REAL REASON OUR PRICES ARE SO DAMNED HIGH IS PROFITEERING, THAT'S RIGHT PROFITEERING OFF OF AMERICANS WHO DRIVE TO WORK EVERY DAMNED DAY. THE DAMN OIL COMPANIES ARE SETTING THE PRICES OF OUR GASOLINE NOT THE ARABS OR OPEC OUR OWN COMPANIES ARE RIPPING US OFF TO THE TUNE OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS. THERE IS NO SHORTAGE OF OIL OR GASOLINE OR DEISEL IN THIS COUNTRY AND THAT'S A DAMNED FACT. WE SHOULD BE PAYING WAY UNDER TWO BUCKS A GALLON FOR 87 OCTANE REGULAR AND NOT MUCH MORE FOR 90 AND ABOVE. DIESEL SHOULD BE ABOUT 2.59 A GALLON LIKE IT WAS UNDER TRUMPS FIRST TERM. MY FRIENDS WE GET NO OIL FROM THE MIDDLE EAST, WE GET NO GASOLINE FROM THE MIDDLES EAST WE GET ZIP FROM OPEC. OUR SECRETARY OF ENERGY SHOULD BE HANDLING THIS CRAP AND DRAGGING THE OIL COMPANY AND FRANCHISE BASTARDS INTO THE OFFICE AND DEMANDING TO KNOW WHAT IN THE HELL IS GOING ON. WE SHOULD BE PAYING WHAT WE WERE DURING TRUMPS FIRST TERM.

    • SEEMS EVERY STATE THAT PRODUCES A PRODUCT CHARGES ITS RESIDENTS FOR THE TRASH NOT WORTH EXPORTING ALL WHILE IMPORTING FROM OTHER 3RD WORD COUNTRIES THE VERY SAME THINGS THEY ARE EXPORTING……… I.E.
      FL – ORANGES- & JUICE
      CAL OJ-AVOCADOS
      COLO & TX – BEEF
      PENNSYLVANIA – STEEL
      VIRGINIA,CAROLINAS – COAL
      GEORGIA -NUTS{PECANS PEANUTS ETC}

AMERICA THEN TURNS AROUND AND GOUGES ITS CITIZENS FOR THESE PRODUCTS. CLAIMING HIGH FUEL PRICES WHILE SELLING OUR ENERGY WORLD WIDE….OUR ENERGY BTW.

SOMEHOW IN AMERICA WE DONT OWN OUR OWN NATURAL RESOURCES.

HOW CAN WE AS LAND OWNERS NOT OWN THE MINERALS OR WATER RIGHTS TO OUR OWN LAND EITHER. WE PAY TAXES ON LAND THAT OTHERS EXPLOIT FOR PROFIT…….winning

    • California is highest tax in the nation, so when they don't go up here, they will pat themselves on the back and say they doing Californians a favor. They so love to distort the truth.

  65. Some of you trolls need to actually do a little research instead of relying on your daily email from the DNC with your stupid ass talking points. You look silly

  66. Here's the thing.. We don't need their product.. We don't need our oil.. We can sell our crude oil… we need to start converting to liquid natural gas in this country.. we have a never-ending supply of that.. and it's much better for the environment.. WE NEED TO USE ONLY OUR INTERNAL ENERGY PRODUCT.. The government should nationalize the liquid natural gas to pay down our $40 trillion in debt…

  67. We'll be from under control of the banking cartel when there no longer is a Federal Reserve Note.

    • I actually believe Jacob rothchild did not die from natural causes..

i believe he was executed at gitmo for treason ..

bcz the very next day aftah rothchild died trump posted a pic of constitutional money ~ gold and silver ..

      the only constitutional money…

      coincidence ?!?!

how many coincidences before it becomes mathematically impossible
      Q

  68. UNTIL AMERICAN CITIZENS PROFITS FROM A WAR WE ARE NOT IN CHARGE. WE PAY FOR IT AND ARE EXPECTED TO VOTE FOR THOSE THAT ACT IN OUR BEST INTEREST. YET WE HAVE GONE IN DEBT FOR EVERY COUNTRY ON THE PLANET WHILE THROWING OUR AMERICAN SOLDIERS ON THE "CAUSE" LIKE CORDWOOD……

    NOW SOMEONE TELL ME WHY.

THE IRAN WAR IS THE FIRST THING WE HAVE DONE RIGHT IN 75 YEARS….NOW END THIS THING AND ACT LIKE MEN. TAKE THE STRAIGHT-ERASE THE REGIME AND EMPLOY THE PERSIANS IN OUR NEW OIL PRODUCTION FACILITIES.

  69. Seems whenever I mention the oil prices
I get thumbs downs. I don't know what world they are living in. Everything we get
somehow gets moved by diesel. Jets fly
With fuel. Since the 70s, the price of oil has steadily risen . Your life and expendable income is directly connected.
There are no long haul electric trucks regularly working. Even the ones out there
Need a charger. What makes electricity mostly oil based. The rest are nuclear
