There’s More to the Hunter Biden and Patrick Byrne Lawsuit than was First Reported.

A federal judge has awarded Hunter Biden $1.7 million in punitive damages plus additional sanctions against former Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne over statements he had made linking the Biden family to an alleged scheme involving Iranian assets and the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks.
The ruling, handed down on Friday by District Judge Stephen Wilson in California, came after Byrne repeatedly stood by claims that Hunter Biden had pledged to influence his father, then-President Joe Biden, to unfreeze $8 billion in Iranian assets in exchange for an $800 million bribe.The judge found that Byrne’s comments went beyond protected speech and showed intent to harm Hunter Biden’s reputation.
Byrne continued to stand by the allegations throughout the lawsuit, a point the judge took issue with in his ruling.
Byrne responded to the news in a post on X:
The judge fired my lawyers including Peter Ticktin then defaulted me. 3 recordings are under review by the government, as well as agents who “couldn’t recall” if I’d turned them in. I will win on appeal and HB will testify in court where a pardon won’t shield him.

Byrne shared more with us in an Exclusive – It’s not over.
The judge has now defaulted four of my attorneys on the day they make their appearance, and then it’s claimed that since Byrne doesn’t appear with representation, he has defaulted.
There have been crazy decisions. Here is one, for example:
Months before Hunter’s deposition, he asked that his deposition be done by Zoom. They asked my opinion, and I said, “Sure, as long as the treatment is symmetrical.”
It was agreed by all parties. At that point, I went overseas and was in Switzerland working with the Venezuelans. (If you follow that story, you know I have been communicating with Venezuelan computer experts who are defectors, and that I’ve talked about these individuals on Emerald Robinson and Alex Jones.
I was then in Qatar. Months later, we came up to Hunter’s deposition. To save him the 90-minute drive across Los Angeles, he did the deposition from where he was staying in Malibu. A month later, it became time for my deposition. I got ready to do it in Qatar, and they found out I was in Qatar and welched on their deal. They demanded I fly home.
Meanwhile, I was literally in the hospital with a heart procedure at the Royal Hospital in Qatar. They went to the judge, and the judge demanded that I fly home in 18 hours. Hunter Biden did not have to drive 90 minutes; he was allowed to do his by Zoom, but I had to fly home for 18 hours. I had a cardiogram, but not a cardiologist in the world would clear me for flying. I sent this to them.
I got two or three letters from various doctors and sent them to the judge. The judge said that wasn’t good enough. I had to go get them notarized. it went around and around like that. Hunter Biden was allowed to skip, so he did not have to drive 90 minutes, but Byrne is supposed to drive 18 hours. I just finally, from my hospital bed, said “f$ck you, I’m not coming,” and that was that.
So I did the Zoom from Qatar. A month later, I was well enough to fly to Switzerland, where I had the heart procedure. Incidentally, three weeks ago, I had the lower half of my left lung removed.
The judge had admitted Peter Ticktin to represent me. But on the day of trial, he yanked Peter Ticktin. He refused to let Stephanie Lambert represent me because she had criminal charges against her in Michigan (which were recently thrown out by an Appellate Court as being total garbage, very similar to the Peter charges).
Then I had a high-power lawyer representing me at the appeal, and he notified in writing to the judge and Hunter’s lawyer that he was now representing me and to notify him if anything came up on appeal. They never contacted him. But they ran a couple of quick hearings (even while the thing was under appeal) that we never heard about because they had also taken steps to remove all the lawyers from the court docketing system, so they would not even get notices of what was going on. Then it was supposed to go to trial this January 20, and I mentioned in a podcast that I was driving down the coast to go appear at the trial. They called a quickie hearing for a few days before the trial. I had my new lawyer that morning filing notice of appeal, and a couple of hours later, he showed up as they started the hearing. He stood up to speak, and the judge refused to recognize him.
Then a few days later, I was there on January 20 for the day the trial was supposed to open, but he canceled it and instead, a few days later, wrote an opinion that he had canceled the trial because I had no lawyers or appeared to have defaulted.
I have three dynamite voicemails that confirm my story, as well as an ex-federal agent who’s given an affidavit, has a testimony, and is ready to be there. They’re doing all this maneuvering to prevent these voicemails from ever going public.
Byrnes shared that he has five minutes of voicemails, but it’s Hunter’s friend trying to negotiate with the Iranians a back-room deal.
