Canada really messed up and they soon were under the eye of President Trump. A Canadian politician put together an ad against tariffs to air in the US. The problem is the ad was a lie.

Canadian politician Doug Ford was behind the anti-tariff ad that was doctored by Canada. He is to blame say many.

The scandal went viral as the Aussies were reporting on the Canadian political mistake almost immediately.

  24. Canada has tariffs on US goods, but we call them Goods and Service Taxes (GST) or a Value Added Tax. The Canadian business or consumer pays the tax direct to the Feds when they buy things, even if they come from the US. Most Provinces have them too, and the tax goes direct to the Provincial Government.

Alberta has a pop of 5 million people, a solid majority being conservative. Saskatchewan a pop of 1 million, also not liberal, but not as conservative as Alberta.
            I do agree that Trump should leave Ontario and Quebec behind. These would be blue-state welfare provinces (especially after Trump gets done with Ontari-owe's auto sector), and you are also correct that Canada should not be absorbed as one huge voting block. That would ensure that the US would be blue forever.

Ford is the head of the leftist Ontario Provincial Government, that between it and the Provincial Governments of Quebec and British Columbia, are the three provinces whose politicians are working the hardest to screw over the rest of Canada. They need to replace the bird on the Looney and put either his or Carney's likeness on it.

  110. I'd take Alberta and maybe Manitoba; but I would never vote to let Ontario or Quebec in. Period.
    And there is absolutely no reason to act as if they are a "package deal". Each territory/province would stand alone. We have the right to cherry pick, and picking troublesome provinces like the two above is just ridiculous.

    • I think you meant "Saskatchewan." Sask has the same values as Alberta. Meanwhile, Manitoba elected a socialist premier, by the name of Wab Kanew, who sides with the feds.
      In fact, Alberta and Saskatchewan at one time considered forming their own country together, called "Buffalo." That was before both provinces joined confederation in 1905. Many in the prairies consider the two provinces "twins."

    Well, "free trade" isn't free either. For decades, we haven't fought for it, and our members of Congress have made a lot of money taking bribes and ignoring our trading partners cheating us.

  124. If Canada were to become the 51st state, it would give the U.S. 2 more Democrat Senators in perpetuity. Far left wing controlled Canada's 40 million population is over 25% foreign born (lots of Muslims on Civilization Jihad). A 40 million population means 52 new seats in the House of Representatives (think Gerrymandered all Democrat districts). California's population is also 40 million with 52 seats in the House. Consequently, adding Canada as the 51st state would give the U.S. another California…in more ways than one. Canada as a state would add massive financial debt to the U.S. national debt, because it does not have a self sustaining economy. Also, DEI Canada has created unsustainable welfare obligations that would only add to the already overburdened and unsustainable nanny-state of America, which currently has the U.S. teetering on the precipice of total collapse of empire from its growing $38 Trillion financial insolvency.

    There's an old saying, "Be careful what you wish for."
