THE STAGE IS SET: Caitlin Clark and Iowa vs. Undefeated South Carolina in Greatest Women’s Final in History

The Iowa Hawkeyes and the greatest player in NCAA women’s basketball history, Caitlin Clark, will face undefeated South Carolina in the women’s final game on Sunday.

This will be a game.

Both Iowa and South Carolina won their games Friday night for the chance to win the women’s championship on Sunday.  Undefeated South Carolina beat North Carolina State handily in their Final Four game, while Iowa beat University of Connecticut in a thriller.

South Carolina was undefeated last year as well until Iowa and Caitlin Clark beat them in the Final Four.  That was South Carolina’s last loss and and only loss these past two years.

South Carolina won the championship in 2022.

Caitlin Clark has been unbelievable this year and her entire career at Iowa.  This will be her last game with the Hawkeyes along with a few of her team members.

Sunday will be the first time that the nation’s leading scorer will play in the championship game.

Clark is the all-time scoring leader for a career, both men and women.  She set the women’s record for a season this year.  She is third all-time in assists.  This year she led women’s basketball in points per game (32), assists per game (8) and three point shots made per game (5).  No one was close to her in these categories.

Sunday will be the game of the century.  The Hawkeyes have sold out games all year, at home and away.  It will be pricey to get a ticket to Sunday’s game.

Here we go.

  1. I hadn’t heard of Caitlin Clark until you talked about her on the radio show you were doing just before you went over to Lindell TV, thank you. I’ve been rooting for the Iowa girls ever since. Also I love you show. You talk about the TRUTH. The offense foul at the end of the game was obviously the right call. It was a illegal screen she was moving and stuck her shoulder into the other girl. We watched a little bit of the ESPN commentators at the end of the game they should both be removed from the network. They basically said the referees sucked.
