The regime change attempt failed when Iran was able to jam Starlink and the "protests" could no longer be coordinated from outside the country. We're not saving anyone.   29. If the regime can be killed from the top down, it may not be as bloody as most fear.
    Bombs alone will not get the job done.
    The nuclear equipment should be destroyed and the missiles eliminated, then let the Iranians take it from there. Offer food, water, weapons and hope for the best.
    The Iranian people themselves will need to hunt down the remaining targets.
    Sadly, the entire Iranian armed forces will be obliterated in a week. Let’s hope their leadership is decapitated and their worst offenders are eliminated.

  30. If Trump was serious, there would be a couple more aircraft carriers in the region.
    While more bombs won’t make much difference , the added options and alternative resources should be helpful, especially for operations longer than a couple weeks. They may not be in “theater” but if close by, they can swap out and pickup the fight.

    • Most of what has been deployed has been air force squadrons, ground crews and air defense units to the bases that are in range of Iranian missiles. For some reason this will mostly be the air force instead of the navy. Maybe carriers and frigates are too expensive to risk from hypersonic anti-ship missiles. One drone swarm and the carrier group will be out of air defense missiles.

    Former Prime Minister Mir Hossein Mousavi, a prominent dissident who has been under house arrest in Tehran for years, said the scale of the killing shows the Islamic Republic can't be reformed and must be replaced. "When you were wearing the uniform of war against your own people, you were striking your own roots with an ax," Mousavi said, marking his sharpest rebuke of the Islamic Republic to date.

    More than 50,000 people have been arrested since late December, according to Human Rights Activists in Iran, a U.S.-based rights group. Many of the detained people were arrested in their homes or while seeking medical treatment in the aftermath of the crackdown.

    Merchants at Tehran's Grand Bazaar – where the protests first flared up – called on shopkeepers nationwide to take to the streets again on Feb. 17-18 to mark the end of the traditional 40-day mourning period for the killings that occurred Jan. 8-9. The goal was to "avenge the greatest street massacre in contemporary history."

  50. The push by the Whitehouse to serve its' AIPAC masters in a war against Iran is failing to consolidate its' justification. The riots were promoted until they ended, and then it was to end an Iranian nuclear bomb project, which is forbidden on moral grounds by the Ayatollah. We've been told for 30 years that Tehran is a few days away from a nuke. Unless he's lying, Trump bragged he destroyed the nuke program last June. Then we are told Iran has to disarm despite being sanctioned and threatened constantly by Israel and whoever is in the Whitehouse.
    The idea that Trump or Netanyahu give a rats' rear about common people is ridiculous on its' face. Not even any action on the perpetrators of the Covid scam in our own country.

President trump gets accused of being a sexual predator but he has never been convicted of it nor is there any evidence of it, so I would not just slander him in that way

        • It's hard to tell this second term. In some ways he's damaging them, but also doing things that forward their agenda. It's kind of like they say about sausage. You don't like to see how it's made but you hope the final product tastes good. I'm sure there's a lot in the Epstein files that's embarrassing to Trump, and surprisingly Melania is in there too, but I'll be shocked if there's actually anything about him with minors. After all, before he ran for president he did Tweet once that he thought pedophiles should get the death penalty. We're not going to be able to judge the totality of his presidency until it's over. In the meantime, there's a lot that looks bad on the surface. And this possible attack on Iran is one of them. If it wasn't for Israel we wouldn't be giving Iran a second thought.
