The GOP tried to push through a disaster of a bill with numerous items that no Americans wanted. The American people let them know that the bill was the last thing they wanted.

The American people elected Donald Trump, and the American people want us to pay attention to that election and that election results, and so we’ve got to work. This is an important lesson for the the new unified Republican majority, that we have to work.. I do think the path forward is a skinny CR where you just take the 100 pages that the Appropriations Committee produced and everything else falls out… I think that included the disaster..
