Sophie Cunningham Responds to Picture of Injured Indianapolis FEVER Players

The Indiana Fever put out a picture of the injured players on the team.  Sophie Cunningham was in the pic and she share three words to describe it.

FOX News reports:

Five players who started the 2025 season on the Fever’s roster have been lost to season-ending injuries. To make matters worse, those injury setbacks occurred within a two-month window…

…On Thursday, WNBA star Caitlin Clark announced she had been ruled out for the rest of this season. Clark has been sidelined since July 15, when she suffered a groin injury in a game against the Connecticut Sun.

“I spent hours in the gym every day with the singular goal of getting back out there, disappointed isn’t a big enough word to describe how I am feeling,” the point guard wrote on X.

Fellow Fever guards Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald each went down with their own significant injuries during a matchup with the Phoenix Mercury last month. Colson suffered a torn ACL, while McDonald was diagnosed with a broken foot.

Sophie Cunningham suffered a season-ending MCL injury on Aug. 27.

Caitlin Clark is one of the top athletes in the US.

The Fever put out a pick of the five girls injured on their team this year. None of them had the impact of Caitlin Clark.

Cunningham called this “a sick joke”.

Colin Cowherd tried to describe what he was seeing in the WNBA before Clark was injured so severely that she was out for the season.

Clark is an incredible athlete.

The WNBA needs Caitlin Clark but doesn’t provide good officiating to protect her and others. Until that is fixed, Clark’s picture on the injured list will continue.
