Rep. Maria Salazar (R) and Veronica Escobar (D) Propose Bill to Grant Illegals Citizenship

#image_titleRep. Maria Salazar (R) and Veronica Escobar (D) in the US House propose a bill to grant illegals citizenship.

Two Congresswomen are proposing a bill that will provide illegals a road to citizenship.  The bill is labeled the “Dignity Act”.

FOX News reports:

Reps. Maria Elvira Salazar, R-Fla., and Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, introduced legislation on Tuesday to reform the U.S. immigration system, including offering legal status for certain illegal immigrants to continue working in the country amid President Donald Trump’s mass deportation policies.

The Dignity Act of 2025 would allow illegal immigrants who have been in the U.S. since before 2021 the opportunity to apply for up to seven years of legal status with work authorization. The immigrants would pay restitution and check in regularly with the Department of Homeland Security, and their legal status could be renewed based on good conduct and restitution.

The bill would offer a path to permanent residency, but the legal status afforded to the immigrants would not allow for any federal benefits or a path to U.S. citizenship.

The bill is labeled “Bi-partisan” which always goes against a conservative stance.  Where conservatives would politely ask individuals to come into the country legally and provide documents to obtain citizenship, the far-left wants an open border where no one is tested for diseases or prior arrests and associations.

The Biden regime allowed millions to cross the US border illegally.  No country does this.

In Hong Kong there is a moat and barbed wire between that country and China.  No one enters Hong Kong without a work visa or proof of being able to financially take care of themselves.  Only those who benefit the country can legally stay in Hong Kong.  This is not the case in the US.

Why is it that “bipartisan” is always the opposite of conservative?

  1. Nose under the tent. You can count on full amnesty for illegal immigrants next if this is granted. Then comes the legal taxpayer funded freebies they were not getting to begin with in this bill. They want to work? Fine. Let them work in the home country where their citizenship resides. Legal American citizens want to work too.

America doesn’t need to be providing pathways for illegal immigrants to stay in this country. No excuses are made for anyone else who breaks the law (the rich and powerful excluded apparently) so why this group? Enforce the law. Send them back home.

    • How about let’s Fast track the migrants into jobs in media, entertainment, the arts, the professions , education and government service and see how fast their advocates and defenders change their tune.

  3. Should go straight into the round file where it belongs. The people spoke last November. This country belongs to we the people and not a bunch of elected lackys that refuse carry out our will no matter who is in charge.

  4. Never trust these Latinos regardless of which side of the aisle they claim to be on. It’s always identity politics with non whites. And they call us racist.
