Kennedy Jr. now directing the NIH to launch formal research into the link between psychiatric drugs and mass violence, and with AbleChild and Amy Miller, a health‑freedom advocate in Tennessee for more than a decade, securing the Tennessee landmark state law requiring therapeutic‑level testing for psychotropic drugs in the autopsies of deceased mass shooters, this issue has finally broken through the political sound barrier. Amy now serves as Director of States at the MAHA Institute, which recently hosted a Mental Health and Overmedicalization summit in Washington, D.C., where Secretary Kennedy and federal health leaders outlined a new policy direction centered on deprescribing and rolling back the overmedicalization of children.
Long before Washington was willing to ask the question, it was Secretary Kennedy’s own brother, Fox News correspondent Douglas Kennedy, who had the courage to go there. As far back as 2002, Douglas Kennedy was among the first national television journalists to expose the documented link between antidepressants, adolescent violence, and school shootings, in a three‑part series that shone a national spotlight on what Big Behavioral Health & Big Pharma had long worked to suppress.

Behind all of these courageous reporters and advocacy groups is one watchdog that has quietly educated so many of us on this issue: the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), a nonprofit mental‑health watchdog co‑founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology and psychiatrist Thomas Szasz to investigate and expose psychiatric abuses and to push for strong patient protections. It is no surprise that an organization willing to confront the psychiatric and pharmaceutical establishment has been repeatedly attacked in the media, yet decade after decade CCHR has continued its work to bring abuses to light and to bring people together around basic human rights in mental health.

No recourse as long as psychiatrists are allowed this power and they have "secrecy" and "privacy" so nobody can document the tremendous harm these psyche drugs do.

Terrible damage would also be done if secrecy was removed. There are privacy controls for a reason. I am not sure what the solution is. A lot of people are helped by psych meds, but they don't want anyone to know they use them. I don't think you would find what you hope to find, which is that these drugs are making a lot of people violent and crazy. I am not sure there is solid evidence of that. It could in some rare cases have unexpected effects. Some kids might become violent on it, but I doubt you would find it to be common if secrecy were removed.
Sorry, the individual good is NOT priority over the public good.
Beyond that, for PUBLIC HEALTH DRUG REQUIREMENTS…
No drug without documented results should ever be FDA approved.
The public has to know because these drugs are deadly & have NEVER CURED ANYBODY.

Q implied that there would be a connection between the psychiatrists/psychologists that treated the mass shooting suspects; they would be interconnected. This goes back to 2018-2019. Hopefully this will be completely disclosed in the near future.

The rise of the helicopter parent and the ultra safety concerned has deprived the kids of what they need most, determining their boundaries. Skinned knees, contusions or even broken bones set the limits of their abilities that they will remember. Conflict resolution for themselves instead of crying to an adult to fix their problem. Coping with life's challenges. If you don't exercise a muscle, you will never strengthen it.
Also, the more one focuses on self, the more mentally ill and narcissistic one becomes. Today's girls have as their identity their "mental conditions". Worn almost as a badge of honor. Very sad.

I clearly recall reading articles about this back when these drugs were first started being prescribed about 20 years ago. The articles focused on young people especially if they quit taking them suddenly. The articles were quietly
scrubbed from the internet.
My wife and I wean a young woman off of these drugs in 2006. Her withdrawals made her from feeling nothing to hating everyone. This lasted for two weeks until her brain chemistry adjusted back to normal.
Today she is successful in a career and happily married.

At least 3 decades ago, one of the news magazines ran a broadcast about children on Ritalin. In some areas of the country, among the poor, mothers would tell their kids to act crazy at school so that they could be put on Ritalin or a similar drug, to control them. As a result of them taking the drug, a check from the feds came to their family. The mothers called them "crazy checks".The grift goes back decades, and the losers were the children.

Many of the people who are on psych meds and engage in violence have never been stable in their entire lives.
Psych meds work for many patients, but certainly not for all.
How much of kids' unruly behavior would be stopped with a simple application of a belt to the butt cheeks like it was for centuries before Dr. Spock's books on child rearing?
These numbers below are for psychotics, not teenagers with adjustment problems, but the data shows that psych meds dramatically reduce violence in the psychotic population. That said, it could be that some teens who don't need meds, but are given them nonetheless, do become unhinged on them. I think we need to make distinctions among these groups. There is not just one population using psych meds:
• The estimated rate of homicide among untreated psychotic individuals is about 1 in 700, while it drops to 1 in 10,000 for those receiving treatment.
Like giving a child alcohol, drugs on young people do not always have the same effect. Especially when they are given in combinations.
Been saying this for decades. If you factor out gang and subculture violence every mass shooting can be traced back to these drugs.

I was on one of them decades ago & it does numb you out. I did not like the feeling & went cold turkey fairly early on. I'm surprised Douglas hasn't had a fatal "accident" so far.
Reports like this one are rarely found on any TV network because Big Pharma owns them, along with most politicians. Then there's the FDA, which owes much of its funding to them. The FDA doesn't have the American citizen's wellbeing at heart, or they wouldn't keep approving drugs and substinances that harm us.
And then there is the medical establishment, schools funded by Big Pharma, and students taught about drugs, but not about lifestyle, nutrition, or natural medicine. It's all a big conspiracy to keep us buying drugs, then more drugs to conteract the effects of the first one, and on and on.

While this is much needed, I fear that it could go the same way as the war on opioids.
It is now very difficult for people who could actually benefit or improve their quality of life with pain meds – to actually get them. Actually it is now damn near Impossible without subjecting yourself to the Nazi rule of a Pain Management Clinic.
I have 6 bad disc in my back and have been taking the muscle relaxer Soma for 'many' years.
I recently had to change doctors and my new (young) doctor immediately told me he would Not refill the prescription. Flat stated he would not risk his License against the DEA. I was told the only doctors who will still write them are those close to retirement and I should try "stretching".
Does something need to be done about the over doping of our young people – Yes.
But as always, "I'm from the Government and I'm hear to help" more often than not tends to come with overreaching consequences.
