NCAA Women’s Basketball Tourney Starts with High Hopes for Superstar Caitlin Clark and the Sport

The NCAA men’s and women’s basketball tournaments begin with high hopes for many teams but none as popular as Iowa Superstar Caitlin Clark.

The tournaments begin today.  The country will be watching.

Last year, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark became a household name for her efforts in the NCAA tournament.  She took her Hawkeye women’s basketball team all the way to the final game.  This year she hopes to win it all.

Clark has broken so many records this year for both women and the sport, there are too many to count.  She set the women’s all-time career scoring record.  She surpassed Pistol Pete Maravich’s men’s career scoring record.  She even passed Stephen Curry’s season record for 3-point shots made.

Here are some of her career shots.

Clark’s presence in the sport has made a huge financial impact on the sport of women’s basketball.

All eyes will be on Clark to see what she can do in her final post-season as a Hawkeye.  Let the games begin.
