Lawfare is Legal – Here’s How to Stop It

Most Trump supporters rightfully want the perpetrators of the anti-Trump lawfare operations rounded up and thrown into prison. I do, too. But the problem is that unfortunately, most lawfare is legal.

Lawfare falls into three categories: cases where lawyers just look for someone to prosecute, cases where the government spies on someone, and cases where government agents target people to set them up with undercover agents.

Paul Manafort falls into the first category. He had been investigated in the past, but Robert Mueller dusted off the old case and charged Manafort with 18 counts, of which Manafort was convicted of 8 of them.  He was later pardoned by President Trump.

The second type of case would include the Russia Hoax, where Operation Crossfire Hurricane spied on candidate Trump and his campaign helpers.  In this case, documents used to support the spying were based on a dossier created out of thin air by a UK MI6 spy, Christopher Steele.

The Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping hoax falls into the third catagory. In that notorious case, the so-called militia that supposedly wanted to kidnap Governor Whitmer had more undercover government agents in it, than actual legitimate militia members.

The J6 cases with hundreds of undercover agents in the crowd also falls into this category.

We have a long list of other recent victims of lawfare, including Roger Stone, George Papadopoulos, and Steve Bannon. In Wisconsin, Judge Jim Troupis and patriot Harry Wait are victims of lawfare.

So far this year, three significant purveyors of lawfare have been charged; James Comey, Letitia James, and John Bolton. But these people weren’t arrested for lawfare. They were arrested for other reasons.

Many Republicans are hopeful the government won’t do lawfare and just focus on real criminals. But unfortunately, power corrupts. Trying to vote out democrats is a great first step, but it’s not enough.

What can be done?

Human history is filled with outrageous lawfare like the trials of Socrates, Galileo and Joan of Arc. But our Constitution created a nation relatively free of lawfare. In the 1800s and early 1900s, the US had almost no federal regulations. This provided fewer opportunities for lawfare.

But with the rise of big government in the 20th Century, lawfare became common. Until President Donald Trump came along, few seemed to notice it. We owe great thanks to Donald Trump for exposing lawfare to the masses.
