Current Events From a Christian Perspective
Most people are used to the term “Law and Order,” but in Minneapolis, we are dealing with, what the left describes as, Law and Murder! Some public officials are actually saying it was an execution! God encourages Law and Order, not the Chaos and Disobedience being promoted by the Democrats.
Almost everyone has heard about professional agitator Renee Good and the media’s non-stop coverage of her death by an ICE agent that she hit with her car. This placed him in the hospital with internal injuries. The media and the left (Democrats) are incredibly disingenuous in propping her up as a hero as they scream at the top of their lungs about Murder in Minneapolis!
Not Law and Order, But Law and Murder
The selective eye of the media and the left is so hypocritical as they support and prop up criminals, murderers, and disruptors, that law biding American citizens are ignored. It’s such a selective outrage, and it should be ignored. Here are just a few of the people killed by illegals. They only care about ONLY the selected issues that move their ideology and ignore others that deserve their support. Here are just four examples:

God’s Plan – Protect the Innocent
We need a type of law enforcement that protects the people and themselves, but also allows them to do their job. The ICE agent did the right thing. Let’s take a look at what the Bible has to say about law and order and law and murder. What is God’s plan for mankind? It’s important to understand that there is no single Government type or organization that God recommends for leadership. He leaves it up to us to select the type of government we want and also leaves it up to mankind (and womankind) to decide who should be punished by death for killing others and who should not be. It is the responsibility of mankind.
Genesis 9:6-7 (KJV) 6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. 7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein. Every person should submit to governing authorities because they are instituted by God.
If it is determined by Governmental leadership that Christians are the ones disobeying their authority, then it will be the Christians that will be punished. For this and other reasons, Christians should obey the authorities.
Romans 13:1-2 (NIV) 1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
A Just Society Promotes Good, Punishes Wrong
Part of a just society from God’s point of view are laws, rules, and the enforcement of these to protect people and to enhance a peaceful working society. God’s plan, although frequently not followed, if for rulers to promote good and to punish wrongdoing. By the same token, the “enforcers” of these rules ; their authority should cause fear for those who do wrong.
Romans 13:3-4 (NIV) 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
Civil authorities are called “God’s servants” — offices established by God — even though those who hold them may be ungodly; the state “Bears the “sword” as the agent of enforcement and punishment an. It is government’s authority to enforce laws (including life-and-death punishment). This should cause “fear” or “respect” in people mind. If you obey the laws, you are free from fear of retribution, if you break the law, then you are subject to the Government’s “Sword” of Justice.”
But that is not what is going on now. Paid protestors and agitators are being trained to harass, impede, intimidate, and cause as much confusion as possible around ICE and Police. This is the very essence of disrespect and they are teaching others to do the same and not be fearful. To NOT respect authority. And when the authorities legally enforce their God given right for justice, the media and the left go crazy. When did it become popular to defy the police. to impede justice?

Punishment And Conscience
Romans 13:5 (NIV) 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.
They are training people to believe there is no possibility of punishment or consequences for their actions. This includes the part of your conscience that should show respect to those in Authority. This is not God’s will. If a few get hurt or killed along the way, they seem jubilant, since it gives them a platform to complain. These people have lost their conscience and respect for others, and it is a shame that the media promotes them.
There is only one time, and I know many pastors and others disagree with me, when Christians must disobey human authorities. That is ONLY when we are instructed NOT to teach, preach, and witness in the name of Jesus Christ. This is the church’s and Christians’ job, and in doing so, we move toward and maintain a just society.
Acts 5:28-29 (KJV) 8 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us. 29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
Law and Order, Not Chaos and Disobedience
We also should obey God, not men, and teach in the name of Jesus. Also, notice how they were saying that they were intending to bring Jesus’s blood on them. They changed their tune as can be seen here:
Matthew 27:24-25 (KJV) 24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. 25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
