What is going on with Biden’s oil lease with Chevron related to Venezuela?
Last week we learned that Trump Administration’s Rick Grenell worked out a deal with Venezuela to free a US prisoner in return for the continuation of a lease that Chevron has in Venezuela put in place by the Biden regime. Secretary of State Marco Rubio came back and said that this lease had not been renewed.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Chevron’s license to operate in Venezuela will expire “as scheduled” next week, contradicting reports about a pact between the Trump administration and Nicolas Maduro’s authoritarian government to extend the company’s operations in exchange for the taking of deportees.
“The pro-Maduro Biden oil license in Venezuela will expire as scheduled next Tuesday May 27th,” Rubio said in his personal X account.

The statement also contradicts a statement by Trump envoy Richard Grenell, who said that Chevron’s license would be renewed as a result of “progress” made with the Maduro government. The statement coincided with the release of U.S. Air Force veteran Joseph St. Clair, who had been detained in the South American country for approximately six months.
Patrick Byrne joined Emerald Robinson and shared that Chevron has connections to Venezuela and Cuba and also the election machine company Smartmatic.
Venezuela. Smartmatic. Chevron. The Cover-Up Just Cracked Wide Open
@PatrickByrne says he’s “never publicly revealed this before” — @Chevron owns a stake in @Smartmatic, the election software company tied to the Venezuelan regime.
@POTUS refused to renew Chevron’s Venezuela oil licenses, holding the line against a coordinated influence campaign that targeted conservative media and even his own advisors.
“This country was overthrown in 2020,” Byrne says. “Smartmatic was part of it. Chevron is all up inside the Venezuelan communist regime — and no one’s been willing to say it.”
He also reveals @CIA brass told agents to stop collecting intel on Venezuela and Cuba. And he says @RichardGrenell had no authorization to announce the renewal deal.
The swamp ran this operation for years. Now it’s unraveling.

Robinson noted how President Trump’s efforts in Venezuela were working and asked why Chevron was working with the communist Maduro regime in Venezuela and why FOX news was parroting Chevron’s talking points.
Chevron CEO Defends Maduro Regime on Fox News. Why?
President Trump’s pressure on Venezuela is working, and the globalist oil elites are panicking. @Chevron CEO Mike Wirth appeared on @FoxNews to defend doing business with Nicolás Maduro, a narco-dictator whose regime is tied to drug trafficking and election interference in the U.S.
Why is Chevron propping up a regime that exports fentanyl, protects paramilitary groups like Tren de Aragua, and fuels chaos at our southern border? Why is Fox airing PR for narco-tyrants?
Even Venezuela’s opposition leader Maria Corina Machado says Maduro is on the ropes thanks to @POTUS’s sanctions.
This isn’t about oil. It’s about power, corruption, and global interests trying to stop President Trump from shutting it down.
