Liberals try to downgrade Kristi Noem by saying she was fired. They will do anything to slander and diminish President Trump and anyone near him.
President Trump made the following announcement on Thursday on Truth Social:
I am pleased to announce that the Highly Respected United States Senator from the Great State of Oklahoma, Markwayne Mullin, will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS), effective March 31, 2026. The current Secretary, Kristi Noem, who has served us well, and has had numerous and spectacular results (especially on the Border!), will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida. I thank Kristi for her service at “Homeland.”
Serving 10 years in the United States House of Representatives, and 3 in the Senate, Markwayne has done a tremendous job representing the wonderful People of Oklahoma, where I won all 77 out of 77 Counties — in 2016, 2020, and 2024! President Donald Trump fired Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Thursday, making her the first Cabinet secretary to leave her post and capping off a tumultuous year in which she oversaw his increasingly unpopular mass deportation agenda.
Alongside the announcement of Noem’s ouster, Trump said he would tap Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., to replace her, elevating a fiercely loyal first-term senator.

President Donald Trump on Thursday fired his embattled Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, after mounting criticism over her leadership of the department, including the handling of the administration’s immigration crackdown and disaster response.
But in reality, as the President claimed, Noem did an incredible job at Homeland Security, and she wasn’t fired; she is still in the Administration and is taking over a top new position. Noem went from a position overseeing US security to a position overseeing the security initiative in the Western Hemisphere.
Marco Rubio was thrilled to have Noem on board to assist in this new role – it was one less hat for him to wear.

The US Border has never been safer. ICE Agents have removed thousands of very dangerous illegals from the country. Both of these were necessary to do ASAP to protect Americans, especially because God only knows how many Islamist radical terrorists the Biden Administration brought into the US.
With the war in Iran going on, as many radical terrorists as possible had to be identified and removed from this country and Noem oversaw this effort.
Rather than celebrate the work of the President and Noem in protecting our country, the liberals bash them both as she moves on to her new role in the Administration.
As President Trump says – “These people are sick”.
She was fired and given a nothing position to save face don't try to sugar coat it.
