Tuesday’s deposition under oath in front of the US Senate was a trainwreck for corrupt and disgusting Jack Smith.  Smith should go down as one of the biggest criminals in US history and that is just what we know now about him.

Senator Lee from Utah asked Smith more questions about his spying illegally on Congress.

Jack Smith perjured himself saying that police were killed on Jan 6 which is a lie.

Jack Smith was over the inspection to get President Trump and yet had massive conflicts of interest as pointed out by LA Senator Kennedy.  He should have absolutely recused himself but he didn’t showing utter bias and contaminating the entire investigation before it started.

Jack Smith couldn’t answer whether why he subpoenaed over 400 Republican donors but no Democrats.

  21. As a CPA I followed Smith's prosecution of the accounting firm Arthur Anderson. Smith kept appealing until he got to the Supreme Court who said NO 9-0. How he got the resources to keep pursuing the case all the way to the Supreme Court puzzles me when it was a loser of a case, somebody had to approve his behavior.

    The democrats (and some RINOs) just easily accept Smith's characterization of the 2020 election and Jan6th as facts. There was little push back … actually no pushback.
    How can there be a hearing for a prosecutor that was trying to charge people for crimes over a stolen election and a planned trap and hoax on Jan6th.

      • Perhaps two reasons: The left still runs most of the country, and enough of the People are entertained to the point of inaction. We'll see in November if even half of the registered voters turn out. It was less than 45% in '22.

        • I moved five years ago to a place with to satellite dishes with two televisions, one is in storage in the basement and one is still in the box. My wife who is at least as conservative looked at available programming and cost. We couldn't see anything worth paying a fraction of those costs. We do have fiber internet now with a mobile starlink for backup and on the road. You have a point about pablum for the jelly minded people, but I think there is a liberal tendency to let criminals off with a wrist slap too. As for me I have been to DC and it has lots of lamp posts and trees. Rope is cheap!

          • Highly recommend getting an over-the-air (OTA) antenna. Inexpensive and readily available.
            Using it in very rural Virginia (in the Blue Ridge) and other places – receives a LOT of channels.
            One of the family gets over 100 channels including OAN and possibly Newsmax (I don't remember).

While I do believe Smith is corrupt and guilty as sin, what's going to be the outcome of this and every other hearing currently in progress? Next thing you know there will be a hearing on the content of hydrogenated vegetable oil in peanut butter. I understand exposure of corruption is important, but unless the perpetrators are punished, what good are these hearings?

    • The purpose of the hearings is not justice, but merely pacifying the public. We feel satisfied that the traitors were exposed, but we're not supposed to notice that there are no follow up investigations, arrests, and trials.
