This is not surprising. Clark has been battered around like a rag doll since entering the WNBA.

Clark came into the WNBA last year and shattered more records. Last season after all kinds of abuse, Clark still managed to shatter the record for the greatest production by a single player in WNBA history. This is a measure of points scored along with points off of assists. Clark is great.
Caitlin Clark has the single most greatest productive offensive season in WNBA History.
Her offensive load was second only to Luka Doncic in NBA last season.

However, Clark’s journey in the WNBA starting last season has been brutal. She’s been pummeled by players from other teams nearly every game. This took a toll on Clark. She was out for 5 games earlier this season.

Earlier this month after returning to the Fever, Clark was again attacked by WNBA players and brutally bounced around like a pinball.
WNBA’s Caitlin Clark was assaulted numerous times yesterday on the court.
Marina Mabrey committed the most egregious of attacks against her.

Since then Clark has been in a slump from the 3-point line, hitting a career low 1 for 23 in the three games since being blasted onto the floor in early June.
The Gateway Pundit pointed this out.
Caitlin, the greatest shooter in women’s basketball history, is now 1 of 23 in 3-point shots in her last three games. That’s a 4% completion rate! What happened? She has NEVER suffered such a slump.
When Clark was out earlier this year for five games, viewership in the WNBA was half of what it was when she is playing.
We’ll see if this happens again. It’s pretty clear Caitlin Clark’s fan base is tired of seeing her get beaten up by other players in the league. The refs’ terrible calls and their allowing this to happen is also very frustrating.
No one should show up to attend tonight’s match, nor tune in to watch it live either. Send a message, whether you like Clark or not, this this sort of targeted racist physical assault does not belong in sports period. Absolutely. . Whatever team plays the Fever when Clark is on the floor looks like they are channeling men’s pro ice hockey. Not really a style of play to be encouraged in young girls coming up. Wayne Gretzky always had an enforcer looking after him on the ice. Clark needs one, too.
I did notice that her teammates do NOT support her when the abuse starts. That means the coach is useless. Go out and get some big butt woman who squats 300 lbs and every time Clark hits the floor, one or two on the other team will as well.
Caitlin should quit this team. I’m sure she needs to honor her contract, but enough is enough. Does she want to continue to play basketball? This league is trying to injure her so she can’t. Why else would they allow this?
Maybe that is what she is doing. If she misses all her shots, and misses alot of games, it’s a good way to get out of a contact. Gives them nothing.
