The Biotech CEO Who Told Me He Tried to Reach Trump—and the Questions Fauci Still Won’t Answer

While I was suing Governor Gavin Newsom over California’s lockdown restrictions, a vaccine developer contacted me about an alternative COVID-19 platform. Congress should hear his account under oath.
Anthony Fauci once told a national television audience that people criticizing him were “really criticizing science” because, as he put it, “I represent science.”1
This week, under subpoena before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, Fauci refused to answer more than 100 questions, repeatedly invoking his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. The committee is considering a contempt referral. Taking the Fifth is a constitutional right, not proof of guilt. But his silence has revived one of the central questions of the pandemic:2
Who controlled the information reaching President Trump and the American people?
That question takes me back to a private conversation in 2021.
Why Mark contacted me
I was not a bystander.
In April 2020, Ron Givens and I filed Givens v. Newsom, a federal civil-rights lawsuit challenging California’s stay-at-home order and restrictions on our rights to speak, assemble and petition the government.3
I had sought to participate in a peaceful protest at the California State Capitol. Our complaint alleged that the state’s restrictions violated the First and Fourteenth Amendments. Harmeet Dhillon and the Dhillon Law Group represented us, together with civil-rights attorney D. Gill Sperlein.3
I had also become outspoken against coercive vaccine mandates and the assertion that questioning safety, alternatives or long-term effects made someone “anti-science.”
That was the environment in which Mark Emalfarb contacted me.
Mark was developing a COVID vaccine
Mark was not an anonymous online critic. He was the founder and chief executive officer of Dyadic International, a publicly traded biotechnology company.
Dyadic was advancing a protein-production system known as the C1 platform and developing DYAI-100, its own recombinant-protein COVID-19 vaccine candidate, toward a first-in-human Phase 1 trial. The company was also examining multivariant vaccine candidates.4

On October 19, 2021, he contacted me through Twitter, now X. His profile identified him as Mark Emalfarb, and he provided a Dyadic corporate email address and telephone number. The corporate email matched the address published in Dyadic’s official materials.4
His opening message began:
“Chris, there is more to the story.”

Mark said that people concerned about mRNA and DNA technologies were not necessarily opposed to vaccines. More traditional approaches existed, he explained, and he offered to help me understand the differences so I could communicate them to others.
On November 26, he sent additional information about Dyadic’s work:

His description of recombinant proteins, the C1 platform and candidates targeting multiple variants closely matched Dyadic’s public disclosures from the same period.4
I asked the question that concerned me most:

Mark answered:
| “Not sure, but a milder version of the vaccine that uses a traditional adjuvant might be a safer approach, that’s what we are developing.” |

That statement did not prove Dyadic’s candidate was safer. It had not completed the human testing needed to establish safety or effectiveness.
What struck me was his willingness to admit uncertainty.
A biotechnology executive developing a COVID vaccine acknowledged that he could not predict its long-term effects on children. He believed a more traditional approach might prove safer, but understood that clinical testing—not political certainty—would have to answer that question.
Meanwhile, Fauci was publicly treating criticism of his authority as criticism of science itself.
No person represents science. Science requires evidence, disagreement, scrutiny, and the freedom to question powerful institutions. When one official becomes the only acceptable voice, science begins to resemble control.
What Mark told me by telephone
He told me he had attempted to get information about Dyadic’s technology directly to President Trump. According to Mark, high-ranking people close to the President prevented him from getting through.
He sounded desperate to get his story out.
I did not witness those efforts, and I am not presenting his allegation as independently proven. I can testify to what Mark told me and to the urgency I heard in his voice.
His account can be tested:
| • Who did he contact? • What materials did he submit? • Was Dyadic’s platform evaluated by federal officials? • Did anyone seek a presentation for President Trump? • Who decided whether the information would reach him? |
Emails, telephone logs, presentations and meeting requests should help answer those questions.
Mark had a commercial interest in promoting Dyadic’s technology. That fact should be disclosed. But every pharmaceutical and biotechnology company seeking federal attention, contracts or regulatory support had a commercial interest.

These questions matter because the consequences of the pandemic response did not end when the press conferences stopped.
Businesses disappeared. Children lost classroom instruction and academic progress. Families were separated from loved ones in hospitals and long-term-care facilities. The damage was financial, emotional and, for many people, permanent.5
Americans also continue to report serious injuries they believe followed COVID-19 vaccination. A report does not prove causation. But as of July 1, 2026, the federal Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program had received 11,055 claims alleging COVID-19 vaccine-related injuries or deaths. Sixty-two COVID-19 countermeasure claims had been compensated, while others had been found eligible or remained under review.6
Those people deserve careful medical review, honest answers and basic human dignity—not ridicule.
The people who lost businesses, health, educational opportunities or irreplaceable time with dying relatives deserve to know whether President Trump received every credible option available to him—or only what powerful gatekeepers permitted him to see.
Mark Emalfarb should testify
Congress should call Mark Emalfarb to testify under oath.
He should identify whom he contacted, explain what he attempted to deliver to President Trump and produce the communications supporting his account. Federal agencies should disclose whether Dyadic’s technology was reviewed, what conclusions were reached and what happened to the proposal.
Perhaps Dyadic’s candidate would have succeeded. Perhaps it would have failed. Honest scientific evaluation should have answered that question.
What should never have happened was the narrowing of scientific discussion to a government-approved voice while competing technologies, legitimate questions and injured Americans were pushed aside.
I remain vehemently opposed to the lockdowns and mandates that I believe violated our constitutional rights. I challenged them publicly, politically and in federal court.
Mark Emalfarb contacted me because I was willing to fight and willing to listen.

I 100% remember that; they did it overnight in the middle of the night! It wasn't a normal flu, but it was definitely a scam to run Trump out of office, and to enrich the scientists working in the government agencies at NIH and others.
My mom was one of the first victims of COVID in our state in February 2020. She was in a nursing home and was the first of 17 to die in a 2-3 week period. She was rushed to the hospital after her oxygen dropped from 100% to 80% in a 2-3 hour window. She had been perfectly healthy other than eyesight and hearing.
When we spoke with the emergency doctor, she told us it was the flu. When I questioned how many common flus she had seen where the oxygen dropped 20% in 2-hours, she got defensive because I challenged what she had been taught.
She was moved to the ICU, and the infectious disease doctor told me it wasn't flu, and he had never seen anything like what she had. The hospital told us to go home and come back in the morning, and they'd have a better idea, but she would be fine overnight. By 6am she was dead.
I'm not asking for sympathy because my mom died at 92. I mention it because COVID was not a common flu to the elderly, and anyone with lifelong diseases. One of my sons came out of COVID with a lifetime immunodeficiency where he as to do infusions every two weeks for the rest of his life to fight off infection. I spoke with many people who got heart conditions, and long-COVID symptoms. It wasn't common, though it had DNA of common flu, mixed in with bat or some other DNA. I do remember reading an article saying that people who had the H1N! swine flu in 2009, survived COVID much better or were asymptomatic.
I have a great nephew who was really sick and ended up in the emergency room with H1N1 but was asymptomatic with COVID and played basketball in his driveway the entire time he tested positive so, on a anecdotal level, I believe there was some DNA from H1N1 in COVID, which is why people who had it in 2009, were able to fight off COVID so easily. Remember, it was young people who got really sick and died from H1N1, so those who had it would have been the late-teens and 20-somethings that weren't impacted by COVID.
It wasn't normal because it was made in a laboratory, and didn't come from nature, but it certainly killed millions around the world, especially the elderly.
Except not all people who were sick during those years were sick with "covid". The flu disappeared, and until about 2025 the CDC had very low numbers of pneumonia deaths. That changed in 2025, and now the CDC admits to a large number of pneumonia deaths. Basically the hospitals were classifying every death as "covid". Jay Inslee of WA even commented that motorcycle crash victims were being tallied as "covid" fatalities.
In short, the data on who died of what is complete garbage.
You might want to look at the data for our normal seasonal flue, it went to almost zero.
I understand that, because they were using the same buffer solution and surfactants for COVID, that they used for flu, so they all tested positive for COVID. That doesn’t mean that COVID was the common flu. If so, why did it kill so many elderly people within weeks in Italy as it spread across the globe? The elderly and very sick had a hard time fighting it off. I’ve got a son that has to take treatments the rest of his life to survive because having COVID 3X in 1.5 years, destroyed his immune system. He went to college on a running scholarship, and can barely walk a distance. I had several people in my family that struggled with it. I didn’t struggle in getting it twice, because I immediately took Ivermectin, and I’m 67 with lifetime asthma.
It was a bad time, but I know what it did to the elderly, because I watched my mom’s eyes roll around in her head gasping for breath. I’ve had a lot of flu in my life, and not once did my oxygen drop below about 93-94%. It was a lab & man made terrorist attack on the world, and I would never doubt that it was done intentionally to help run Trump out of office. The deep state seemed very prepared to control the people, and move to mail-in ballots in a very short time. The drop boxes appeared in every blue city and state in the country, but not in red ones. That can’t be a coincidence.
You are at least partly right. Sars-Cov-2, the chimeric laboratory-produced pathogen was real, but when you say it was "just hyped up normal [in]flu[enza]" you're touching on an aspect of the plandemic which is especially infuriating to me as a health practitioner. The scam involved assigning "Covid-19" to influenza cases based on several symptoms alone, (e.g., fever, cough, shortness of breath, SpO2 values) not actual disease specific "testing" which had turned out to be a farce all by itself. We watched as ICD-10 codes for Covid-19 were applied to influenza cases in order to "hype up" the scamdemic numbers. Meanwhile, if you remember, the real influenza all but "disappeared" from its annual intrusion into human life, something that we know, intuitively, could not have happened. Now we know what DID happen. The "flu" cases were simply added into the Covid-19 numbers in this very dishonest way.
People started dying in numbers only after they took the jab. Once they were conned into the ventilators did it become game over for them. Bless their ignorant hearts.
It's been calculated as low as 99.97% using data from nations using single-payer health systems. The data is a whole lot cleaner than our system of paying off health care providers for the number of hospitalized deaths.
The data from the CDC in September of 2020 was more than simply 'problematic.' The all-cause mortality put it inside 2019 deathrates, and slightly above the 2018-2015 death rates. I know, because I ran the numbers. I also looked at the mortality tables for pneumonia, the seasonal flu, bronchitis. All three tables showed the number of deaths falling rapidly between March 2020 and June 2020, to a statistical zero.
So then I checked the WHO website. The same phenonium for seasonal flu, pneumonia and other lung aliments.
On both sites, the death rate of the data in June and July for cov19, came out to a survival rate of 99.97%. Prior to 2020, the common rate of survival of the seasonal flu was a steady 99.96%.
You tell me what was obviously going on. I made my own conclusions that day, in September 2020, a few days before the 10th, my birthday.

The only definitive answer in a scientific investigation is a NO. The point of testing is not to determine whether a particular drug works is efficacious and is safe, but to determine if a particular drug is not efficacious and is not safe. It is a subtle but important distinction.
Warp Speed was a planned train wreck. Standard treatment protocols for patients under medical duress were not just ignored but prohibited, existing traditional therapies were ignored and the vaccine was released without sufficient testing.
All potential alternative treatments were suppressed because legally granting an EUA requires than none exist.

I am not a medical professional but an IT Nerd, with 40+ year experience. During Y2K I did software testing at several major drug companies. I know the hoops these companies have to jump through to get a new drug/vaccine past the FDA for approval, it takes years and for good reasons.
Given this when Trump fast tracked the completely new process and the CDC even had to change the definition of what a "Vaccine" is, my first thought, proven to be correct, was "What could go wrong here"?
