That's not correct. They greatly limited the circumstances under which the President can be charged with a crime while in office but they didn't eliminate it.
The remedy is impeachment, not indictment.
That certainly is the preferred method but it’s not true that a President is exempt from criminal prosecution.
They ruled that a President cannot be indicted for things done in the context of his day to day job as President. Certainly if a President murdered someone that wouldn't fall under day to day acts as President.
