Today’s Jobs Report: More Evidence that the Harris-Biden Economy Is Failing Americans
-Karoline Leavitt, Trump Campaign National Press Secretary shared the following on Friday morning:
“Kamala Harris has proudly and repeatedly celebrated her role as Joe Biden’s co-pilot on ‘Bidenomics.’ She cast tie-breaking votes in the Senate for spending that put inflation on steroids, and despite the evidence that America’s working families are hurting she tells us these failed plans are working. The basic necessities of food, gas and housing are less affordable, unemployment is rising, and Kamala doesn’t seem to care.”
July’s jobs report came in “MUCH weaker than expected” as unemployment surged — and all indications point to a recession on the horizon.
Just 114,000 jobs were created in July, while unemployment shot up to 4.3% — its highest since October 2021 — as economists warn the U.S. is in the early stages of a recession.
1.2+ million more Americans are unemployed than just one year ago, the number of long-term unemployed Americans has increased for the fifth straight month, the number of Americans working part-time jobs for economic reasons is at its highest since October 2021, and labor force participation remains far below pre-pandemic levels.
Foreign-born workers, meanwhile, are thriving in Kamala’s economy. 1.2 million native-born Americans lost employment over the last year, while 1.3 million foreign-born workers found jobs.
Kamala — who cast the tie-breaking Senate vote for trillions in spending that sent inflation sky-high — owns the failures of the Harris-Biden economy.
Does anyone really think Kamala can handle a recession? She can’t even handle taking a question from the press.
