Illegal Border Crossers Not Only Change our Elections, They Change Our Culture

Guest post by Allan Feifer

What if you could trace our country’s decline to a single primary cause?  What if we realized that current illegal migration into our country was not organic but was artificially created?  Created and encouraged lawless conduct and couched those actions in humanitarian terms, hiding their ultimate implications to not raise the alarm.

Illegal vs. legal immigration has been a primary driver changing the trajectory of our country from what it was to the declining, morally, and financially bankrupt country it is today, committing institutional suicide through open borders.  What does the death of a young woman in Athens by an illegal alien reveal?  In the discovery process, we will find that the government hides vital information to prevent us from rising up in revolt.

It’s always time for truth, even if belatedly.  Let’s start.

Here are the unanswered yet seminal questions that validate the proposition that we’ve been fed lies and deceptions so that the government and social justice groups can change America’s culture:

  1. Can we legally stop the flow of illegal aliens into this country?
  2. How has immigration changed?
  3. Does having a national border matter?
  4. How do the diversity issue and immigration combine?
  5. Do illegals bring crime with them?
  6. Do border jumpers have a right to a path to citizenship?
  7. Are illegal immigrants changing the complexion of our country?

We know the answers.  Latin American citizenship in America surged decade by decade from 7.6 million in 1970 to 14 million in 1980 to 21 million in 1990, to 35 million in 2000, 50 million in 2010, and 58 million in 2017 to approximately 65 million today.  A significant percentage of the proceeding can be traced to amnesty programs and other pathways to citizenship.  There has been no debate or vote to discuss or decide one of the most critical questions of all…what should our culture look like?  Remember, this is not organic growth; it is something else entirely.

Assimilation, described as “the process of social, cultural, and political integration of a minority into a dominant culture and society,” has decreased significantly.  The World Economic Forum states: “Stop Telling Immigrants to Assimilate…” Americans are beginning to understand the significance of millions claiming the right to change our country’s culture.  The danger coming from immigrants who do not value our system, language, beliefs, or the rule of law is obvious.  They are an existential threat.  If current actions continue, we will see an end to what we love about our country and what we created over the last 248 years.

With the Hispanic population growing 23% over the last decade vs. 10% for all other groups, Hispanic voters will be our future kingmakers.

It is vital to separate legal (hard) immigration from illegal (easy) immigration.  The latter strikes at the heart of the rule of law and our national identity.  We may admit individuals who aspire to be assimilated Americans, not those coming here, to change it or seek accommodation.

This requires two fundamental changes to our laws:

  1. End birthright citizenship that draws people for the benefits and not the fundamental freedoms to succeed or fail, which is the American Dream.
  2. Close the border to illegal entry.  Arrive illegally and never be able to become a citizen or claim asylum. The promise of catch and release is too great a draw to ignore.  Asylum claims must be adjudicated outside the country.

More than 12 million immigrants passed through Ellis Island between 1892 and 1954, with about 2% denied entry.  Almost all were white Europeans who would join other Europeans already here.  The Immigration Act of 1907 was passed and signed into law by President Theodore Roosevelt on February 20, 1907, effectively restricting immigration until 1965.  Historically, we can and did restrict immigration by Presidential decree and other laws.

Before Biden leaves office, we will likely see more than 12 million illegal aliens in our country in his four years vs. the 62-year total of Ellis Island.  One hundred years ago, we required people to be able-bodied, healthy, self-sufficient, and nonsubversive.  All that is out the window in today’s bumrush as little effort is made to discern criminal background, political intent, or an ability to survive without forever governmental support.

The Biden administration has done something no prior administration allowed.  Our borders were always defended to varying degrees.  Today, for the first time, we have an open border.  Anyone can come across anywhere and declare their asylum claim, which is purposefully not adjudicated quickly, leading to people being “paroled” into our system, with the majority never showing up for their hearings.  Most are routinely denied asylum claims even if they do attend.  Deportations are down to the lowest levels in a generation.  Meanwhile, millions live in a shadow world primarily funded through our tax dollars.  And this says nothing about the millions of known and unknown gotaways!

Try finding out exactly how many crimes, from theft to murder, illegals commit.  It’s virtually impossible.  Sanctuary cities and states don’t even ask their country of origin, leading to a dearth of actionable data.

From the Heritage Foundation: A 2021 Department of Justice report revealed that 64% of federal arrests in 2018 involved noncitizens, despite them comprising only 7% of the population at that time.  Every son, daughter, mother, father, or friend mugged, carjacked, raped, or murdered is one too many.  Remember these names:

  • Alexis Saborit, an illegal alien from Cuba with a history of violence, beheaded his girlfriend with a machete in July 2021
  • In April 2024, Francisco Oropeza, deported four times in the last 14 years, was accused of gunning down five Honduran immigrants, including an innocent 8-year-old in Cleveland, Texas.
  • In February, Bryan Marquez, who had deportation orders although he was still in the United States, beat his roommate to death.  Marquez was charged with first-degree murder.
  • And, most recently, the 26-year-old suspect charged in connection to the murder of 22-year-old Laken Riley has been confirmed as an illegal immigrant from Venezuela.

These four names join with thousands of others who died or were victimized by illegal aliens.  Not one should have happened.  We could stop this today if we had the political will.  Unfortunately, the Biden administration finds an advantage in the current chaos, no matter what suffering it brings our citizens.  Disclosing Biden’s real intent is the key to winning the next election.  Year by year, illegal immigration and subsequent future citizenship are changing America in ways its mainstream groups find antithetical to our cherished traditions and that frequently upend our elections.

God Bless America.
