ABLECHILD: How Psychiatry Destroyed Britney Spears

How Psychiatry Destroyed Britney Spears

The following is republished with permission from AbleChild.

The tragic downfall of Britney Spears, the Princess of Pop, played out on a global stage, and many would argue all at the hands of those who were closest to the musical phenom and should have provided the protection she most needed. The fact is, while Spears’ family should have been an advocate for the superstar, it was their reliance on the failed mental health system that forever took the life out of Britney Spears and should be a lesson to those following in the singer’s footsteps.

Spears came from humble beginnings in a small Mississippi town but quickly made a name for herself starring in The All-New Mickey Mouse Club and, still as a teenager, moved quickly into a global recording phenomenon with the hit single Baby One More Time.

It’s reported that the then pop sensation, prior to her being forced into a conservatorship, had amassed a $600 million fortune built on many revenue streams including nearly $70 million from album sales, concert tours and Vegas residency more than $400 million, perfumes earnings and substantial investment properties to name a few.

However, in February of 2008 Spears was forced to submit to an involuntary psychiatric hold at which point Spears father, Jamie, and attorney M. Wallet were granted a temporary conservatorship that lasted thirteen years. By the end of that conservatorship, Spears’ fortune had dwindled to a reported $60 million, leaving many to wonder where the hundreds of millions of dollars had gone. More importantly, though, the question that really needs to be addressed is the abusive power that the psychiatric industry has to involuntarily imprison.

It’s hard to know just when Spears began taking prescribed psychiatric drugs but apparently mentions the use of ADHD drugs like Adderall early in her career and later mentions that her psychiatrist, Dr. Timothy Benson, had switched her medications to lithium. It is of great interest that the judge in Spears conservatorship fight agreed to have all the singer’s mental health records sealed, including her mind-altering drug prescriptions. Why?

There is little doubt that Spears was heavily drugged very early in her career. That she was put lithium is shocking as it was at a time when Spears was making albums, touring globally and fulfilling a long-term residency in Las Vegas. How mentally out of it could the singer have been and still fulfilled all these obligations?

Unfortunately, psychiatrist Benson died two weeks prior to the conservatorship hearing leaving many holes in Spears’ mental health “treatment.” However, over the years, Bi-polar and Dementia have been mentioned as possible mental health diagnoses that Spears received and reportedly was “treated” for.

Once under the conservatorship, Spears had little control over her life. For example, for 13 years, Spears’ father and lawyer Wallet controlled the singer’s fortune, financial decisions, business deals, who could and could not visit the star, when she was allowed to visit her two children and, most importantly, all medical decisions.

During the June 2021 request to terminate the conservatorship, Spears testified that she had suffered abuse at the hands of her father, management and family including coercion and conflicts of interest.

The singer’s father and attorney reversed their position, requesting to be terminated as conservators. The request was granted, and many believe the termination was due to anticipated discovery and deposition requests that certainly would have provided detail best left unknown.

Nevertheless, the matter of the mental health abuse that Spears was subjected to still needs to be resolved. Spears herself could do the world a huge favor by requesting that her mental health records be open for public review.

Shining a light on the number of mental disorders that were inflicted upon the singer and the “treatments” prescribed during that 13-year conservatorship would go a long way to revealing the kind of abuse that one is subjected to by the psychiatric industry, even if one is rich and famous.

It is of interest that Spears wanted no part of any kind of psychiatric mental tests and openly described cocktails of drugs she’d been prescribed and forced to take prior to being forced to take lithium.

Some of the known adverse events associated with lithium include confusion, delirium, hallucinations, restlessness, tics and fatigue. However, those are just some of the adverse effects of one drug. What if Spears had been on a cocktail of psychiatric drugs including an antidepressant or antipsychotic or both?

Throwing in an antidepressant and antipsychotic some of the known adverse events include insomnia, paranoia, abnormal thinking, agitation, aggression, depersonalization, mania, psychotic episodes and suicidal thinking and attempt.

Knowing the possible side effects of the possible “treatments” prescribed to Spears makes it much easier to understand the odd behavior the public was subjected to, like Spears shaving off her hair. Spears told the court that “I felt drunk… I couldn’t even have a conversation with my mom or dad really about anything.” Spears also reflected on her drugging, saying “I told him I was scared… there were six different nurses in my home, and they wouldn’t let me get in my car to go anywhere for a month.”

Spears has not performed professionally since 2018 but too often the public is subjected to Spears social media posts where she is clad in what looks like bras and panties and wielding knives in what appears to be moments of mania.

One can only wonder what psychiatric mind-altering drug regimen Spears is being subjected to today. But after decades of taking these psychiatric “treatments” there is little doubt that Spears will ever be drug free again. Withdrawal from so many drug cocktails seems almost impossible.

More than that, one certainly can’t help but wonder if Spears has ever been given the truth about the mental disorders she’s been diagnosed with. There is no science to support any abnormality that is any psychiatric diagnosis. Moreover, the psychiatric drugs she’s been prescribed do not “treat” any known abnormality and the pharmaceutical companies that produce the drugs admit they do not know how they “work” as “treatment” for any alleged mental illness.

Of course, Spears isn’t the first entertainer to be abused by and suffer at the hands of the psychiatric industry as Frances Farmer and Judy Garland come to mind. But, today, Spears has the chance, with her new-found freedom, to show the world exactly how she was abused by the fraudulent psychiatric industry.

Spears does not need the court’s permission to release her mental health records. That one brave act would be a healing process and a cleansing from terrible abuse. With those documents made public, Spears could finally set the record straight.

    • There was an article on the documentary "Fall of the Cabal " (free on Rumble) about what absolute sick things you have to do to get superstar status. Hollywood is just part of the problem. If you can watch the documentary

        • Hes just a pawn in the big picture. If you get a chance to watch it, do so. There's I think 8 parts, some kindof boring. But skip to the one on Hollywood and/or satanic worshipping. Big Hollywood names

          • I saw a documentary about a child actor from maybe the 30s? Apparently he "cried" very well so the director did what he could to make this kid cry on cue. One time, he couldn't cry. He brought his puppy on set and that day, they took the puppy back stage and took a gun and shot the gun, not the puppy. It was to make that poor kid think his puppy was killed and of course he cried. That makes me sick :(.. Lord knows what these poor kids went through

      • Shirley Temple grew up relatively normal, thanks for her parents being protective of her. Judy Garland was a lost soul who needed more from the people who should have protected her.

      • Don't forget Elvis, given drugs to sleep and to perform around the clock so he could provide millions of dollars for his manager to gamble with. He was bought and paid for by a circus clown and could do nothing about it.

        • He like the rest of us was preyed upon by the medical community. Even Michael Jackson was murdered by his own doctor according to the law.

        • Elvis took drugs in the army to with deal long duty hours, as well and loss of his mother.

He was an unknown talent and uneducated truck driver that hired a manager to boost his career.

Though a flawed man himself, the Colonel made Elvis into the most famous entertainer ever.

Seems like they were made for each other.

    • Sold out or ACTUALLY SOLD to producers/executives in Disney and the Music industry?

Getting pimped in your formative years tends to cause trauma.

      • And let's not forget Britney was slipped a drink at a Diddy party one fateful night in the 2000s, after which she publicly exhibited most of her erratic behavior. Whatever was in it, at the very least, contraindicated her prescriptions.

  1. In case any of you missed it, Psychology is the 2nd WORST "science" with Sociology ranked WORST.
Psychiatry is an actual science and Medical field. Yes, they can use drugs.
    A N D . Y E S there are HORRIBLE psychiatrists out there.

    • Are there any good ones? I have the same feeling about them as I do medical Dr's now. Since the scamdemic, all the good and intelligent Dr's were either fired or left the practice for telling their patients the truth about the bug and the jab. It's just like the climate BS, go against the mainstream (right or wrong) and your career is over.

    • In case YOU missed it, they — THEY — have been using psychology to rule the world for the last hundred years. Maybe thousands.

A better picture of this couldn't be found than that of Edward Bernays. Famous inventor of "public relations," Bernays was the guy behind getting women smoking cigarettes. The "libertines" marching in the 1920's-era Macy's parade was Bernays' doing.

He was quite famous for his efforts. Quite so. Legendary. In 1920 or so he wrote a book, Propaganda, describing some of the techniques used by the marketers to get the people all wanting the same thing at the same time.

When Christopher Bryson interviewed Edward Bernays, at the age of like a hundred, he was happy to discuss his wild forays into public advertising. He went into detail about the various campaigns he was part of.

But when Bryson asked him about water fluoridation, Bernays only admitted to having worked on it, and would say no more.

Fluoride is one of the highest-order secrets of WWII. Psychology was used to promote its use in dental health.

      Think about that.

Psychiatry is basically the mind control efforts of the CIA annexed into public health. It's trash and it's practitioners are hacks.

      Cheers

      • Bernays was also the nephew of Sigmund Freud. I did a whole podcast episode on how crazy the entire family was, and ending with the latest guy, who happens to be the founder of NETFLIX, whose disgusting content now makes a lot more sense, doesn't it?

          • I agree that both have their fair share of quacks but there still are many that do good work that has value. Take my wife for instance, she is a child psychologist who primarily deals with divorce and parental fitness. Somebody has to this job and better her than leaving it up to some judge. As for a good clergyman, they have more important matters to deal with.

      • I could almost–almost–forgive Edward Bernays, because one of the things he gave us was bacon. Prior to his propaganda public relations drive to popularize it, this humble portion of the pork belly was almost a throwaway meat. BLTs just wouldn't be the same without this devine meat. Nor would breakfast.

      • I know that ALL MENTAL ILLNESS is split into three causes.
        LIES,
        Bad Brain CHEMISTRY, and
        POSSESSION. (A LOT of you won't recognize this, so… Matthew 17: 15-21)

    • Psychology and psychiatry both have many success stories and are beneficial. Unfortunately both are ripe for taking advantage of people and therefore are rife with corruption and greed.

      • Yhe problem with PSYCHOLOGY, as a ‘science’, is that they MAKE IT UP AS THEY GO ALONG.
And so, when you train, with liberal ideology, a Delusional Psychotic, and give them a degree to provide therapy for other delusional psychotics, it doesn’t work.
What works is TRUTH. Psychology only provides lies. Opinion? No, fact.

        • I’m sorry, but writing that ALL of psychology is based on lies is so outlandish it gives you away as soneone who must have a serious beef with some psychologist somewhere. Only anger or stupidity would make you write such a broad, sweeping statement like that.

    • That was proven a long time ago, but it is a way for them to control people and pump big pharma pills to make more patients. Med field isn't any better.

    • 'Mental Health' can fall into being pseudoscience and there is nothing more that Big Pharma luvs than to make "patients"/"clients" dependent on medication and care for LIFE.

    • I don't think the parents were dumb, they just wanted to control at the $$. They definitely were not very intelligent when it came to managing finances. I say he owes her 240M and deserve to be behind bars.

  2. Anti-depressants have helped millions. Depression and anxiety are both real. We have a tendency to have an all-or-nothing attitude toward psychiatric help, which isn't correct, as treatments/results vary greatly.

    • I doubt those drugs have helped more than they harmed. Only the very seriously mentally ill can benefit from them. And that's a minority of the drugged population

    • I agree depression and anxiety are real but studies are coming out showing some of the drugs prescribed aren’t actually helping

  3. Psychiatry has ruined countless lives and relationships, and mental health. The only thing they're good for is drug pushing.

  4. Horrible to give someone so young so many drugs. We don’t have any idea what some of them do to a developing mind. Lithium?!? Might as well have tried a lobotomy.

    • I wonder if we will ever know how it affected the trans shooters…I’d be willing to bet they were on some pharmaceutical cocktails

  5. Sadly, this is 100% the case against state or federal run psych wards. Damned if we do and damned if we don't. All these people suffering from gender dysphoria have no way to get proper help.

  6. Psychiatry looks at all "mental health" problems through the same lens – better living through chemistry. So to fix one problem prescribe a drug. To fix the side-effect – more drugs. One of my psych profs in college worked at the UC Irvine mental hospital remarked in class one day about medication – you know it works when the symptoms reemerge, that is when you take them off the medication. The medication has done it's job.

In reality mental health is a three legged stool:
    1. Physical – sometimes drugs do indeed fix the problem.
    2. Mental – taking care of oneself.
    3. Spiritual – often confused with mental care, but this is taking care of the core of the person, not just mental processes.

Tragically, Psychiatry only looks at 1 and might even think about 2 while Psychologists focus on 2 and sometimes considers 1. Both totally disregard 3 because everyone knows that God does not exist. Unconfessed sin and disregard of one's spiritual life is just as detrimental as ignoring the physical and mental operations of our lives. Addicts attest to this in how successful AA's 12 steps are.
Step 12 begins "Having had a spiritual awakening we take this message…"

  7. Psychiatry is a bullshit . There are no actual outliers for these "diagnosis". Just made up BS by psychiatrists

  8. Psychiatry was not ready for the explosion of trans ideology/contagion and mental health crises in the world. Their response (when it was first starting and affecting whole friend groups at my daughter’s school) was simply “she will grow out of it”. So after years of counseling and antidepressants as well as the leftist indoctrination infiltrating our schools, media, and government, she did NOT just “grow out of it.” We keep praying. She’s not on meds now though fortunately. I do not think they helped.

    • I think it was promoted, that it's not grassroots for the most part. That many forces act together to lead us into the pit.

  9. It is the Satanic forces that control both the music industry and Hollywood…..and I blame the parents as well for not being there to protect her from these evils. Diddy and so many others should be in jail for life, his trial was a joke.

  10. Britney is a controlled multiple who has always had handlers. Many if not most of the Disney starlets are the same.

  11. No one can treat personality disorders. They eventually tend to burn out by age 50. This is plainly a dumb article.

  12. I remember walking through the CD store, and looking at that CD, and my very first thought about this girl is that she is a victim of the music and entertainment industry. That's all I've ever thought about her. I'd heard her name and probably saw her image before that, but it was strictly didn't know didn't care, but seeing that CD cover shook me a little bit. I remember that.

  14. I missed a horrible accident at work a few years ago. KiIIed a bunch of my friends. Messed up my lungs and guts and I went kinda crazy. Medically retired because of it. Work sent me to a bunch of shrinks and I can tell you the entire idea of Phycology as a medical treatment is snake oil. SSRIs DID help. Because I could not stop crying and seeing things. But that is it. All these years later, still can't really function and the pills are the only think that KIND OF helps. But, shrinks, useless.

    • SsRI turned my ex in to a different person. They are only meant for short term use after trama. Cost us a 20+ yr marriage. Get help , get off that shitake and find Jesus

  15. The bottom line is you can't give millions of dollars to a young person and expect them to behave normally. For most, the outcome is inevitable.

    ♥️DTrump/CKirk

  16. There you have it folks. Prescription drugs, prescription drugs and more prescription drugs. 90+ % of people’s problems are related to what they voluntarily put in their bodies.

  17. who knew that the love of money would be the common denominator to the destruction of a person…. Everybody wanted a piece of Britney, or at lease they wanted access to her money…

  18. No kidding? The profession of "Psychiatry" should be labeled as quackery treatment. I trust using supplements more than I trust that profession. They almost destroyed one of my boys who was struggling at the time. They put him on drugs that made him a walking zombie for over a year. I finally had a long talk with him, and he was able to slowly ween himself off all of them.

He was an adult fresh out of college at the time, and it robbed him of about 2-3 years before he got back to normal again. He didn't smile or laugh for an entire year, and I love it when I hear him laughing again today. Parents should be very skeptical of what any person in their field says.

I'm sure there are a few good ones for 100 bad ones, but they are bought and paid for by Big Pharma, and I believe they experiment on young kids. I also believe that is why they lock up all the information on these crazy mass shooters and assassins, and the transgender kids that are so messed up. Big Pharma doesn't want the truth to get out that their drugs are making kids numb to violence, and they make them so they can't differentiate between right and wrong. It's really messed up what they do. Anyone that is prescribed anti-psychotic drugs should be locked up in a mental institution for observation and treatment, so they can't hurt innocent people.

  19. I'm surprised she hasn't jumped off a building yet…….this kid got fu cked over by Hollywood, then fu cked over by the music industry, and then fu cked over by the mental health industry, and finally fu cked over by the legal system. Yeah, I'm amazed she hasn't offed herself.

  20. When the only tool in the tool box is a hammer, all problems are treated as nails. All they have is drugs, so give them drugs.

  21. The Parent Trap. The Williams sisters. The Jackson 5. Michael Jackson. Brittany. Justin Bieber. McCauly Culkin. Drew Barrymore. Gary Coleman…

  22. This woman needs constant adult supervision. They used to have men, pretend to be her "fiance" so it appeared to be "normal".
I think many actors/performers have bipolar or other mental issues. They seem to think the medication stifles their creativity, so even if they are medicated correctly they will stop taking them.

  23. Well, I don't think working for Disney and Hollywood helped any, that was probably just the beginning being on the Mickey Mouse Club

  24. I'm not sure releasing her medical records would do anything for Britney, though it would provide fodder for the mental health professionals. She needs to be acting in her OWN interests these days, and if she can find someone to help her get her life back, that would be the best possible thing that could happen to her. Releasing her medical records publicly isn't a step she likely cares about taking AT ALL.

Seems like the more time goes by, the worse abuse these young performers can be subjected to. And yes, there are laws against it, but it doesn't seem to matter. Where there's money and power, there also seems to be abuse.

  25. I've only seen it once up close, but it's made me wonder if keeping someone on a full prescribed dose of lithium is a form of passive murder. You don't do that to someone you love and want to be whole. You do that to someone you want to imprison in their own head.

  26. This woman is demon possessed. All the drugs, weird rituals, and sex abuse, she full of them. No amount of drugs is going to fix her. She needs to repent and turn back to the God she left

  27. I feel for these child stars. Most times they don't ask for or even want the fame. Amanda Bynes is another one. She was such a cute girl, but was sadly ruined too. Look at a before and now picture of her. It's so sad

  28. She was also mistreated by her parents. Indulged on one side, but then they used her as a piggy bank for their own financial gain.

  29. They laughed a Tom Cruise when he said that field was pseudoscience. These nut jobs are medicating our children at record rates because they don't want boys to be boys and girls to be girls as well as medicating people for depression medication forever with zero accountability.

  30. Moral to the story … You want a normal child … Keep them away from the entertainment industry until they are at least 18 …

  31. The music industry destroyed her she should to them to pound salt and get out of the music business will be much better for her in the long run.

  32. It wasn't just the shrinks and the pills. It was the parents and the entertainment industry. I wouldn't be surprised if it started at Disney.

  33. I agree that the industry is full of abuse and quacks, but I have several good friends that I personally witnessed have terrible manic/depressive episodes in early adulthood. They were helped greatly by drugs like lithium and Deprecot(sp?) to live normal lives.

  34. "…while Spears’ family should have been an advocate for the superstar, it was their reliance on the failed mental health system that forever took the life out of Britney Spears…" Uh, no, I don't for one moment believe the family was "relying" on the mental health system to help Britney. They saw her as their golden cash cow, and as long as they could work together with the "mental health experts" they could rake it in, and Britney would be too fkd up to even realize what was happening. ALL of these subhuman scumbags should hand over all their assets to Britney, & go to prison. Especially her "father", who apparently took the lead on all of it.

  35. The dosages of Lithium are in the 900-1200 mg which is way too high in my opinion. You can buy Lithium Oratate in doses of 1 to 10 mg over the counter. The oratate molecule was placed in the public domain to prevent PHARMA from making it a drug. Interesting story, I went into a Health story to buy low dose Lithium. The helper showed me where it was located. He told me he had manic depression but the high drug dosages made him feel terrible. He started taking low dose Lithium Oratate 5 mg per day and that controlled his symptoms. The low doses of Lithium also helped alcoholic patients control their drinking.

  36. It's not just her. You can go back as far as the 70s and find that 85% of Americans under mental health treatment get worse. That figure has not budged in all those decades. Are there exceptions, certainly there are. I'm not lumping in every counselor here, but you get to that next level and the success are one in 15. Everyone lese gets worse.

  37. The Mental Health Industury along with Big Pharma took advantage of the poor girl. Mental Health can fall into being pseudoscience and there is nothing more that the industry luvs than to make "patients"/"clients" dependent on medication for LIFE.

  38. There's too much money involved. We're talking hundreds of BILLIONS annually. The kind of money that gets whistle blowers murdered. When the public is on drugs 24×7, then they are FAR EASIER to manipulate.

When Jesus talks of the End Times and says, "do not be deceived", He wasn't just speaking about false religions and false priests! Big Pharma and "modern medicine" are two of the biggest scams in existence.

  39. I blame the psychiatric industry for “normalizing” transgenderism. Trans is mental illness and they have convinced the left that it is mainstream and perfectly normal.

The damage they have done to society is reprehensible.

    • It's only a mental illness because they start pushing the narrative into their little minds starting in preschool. It's mental abuse at a very young age and DISGUSTING!

  40. I hope her family has enjoyed the fame and fortune, all it cost them was their daughter.
    Disgusting parents.

  41. Mom, Dad, Greed, and Disney
    Ruined this pretty girls life
There is so much more to life then Money !

  42. Step 12 begins "Having had a spiritual awakening we take this message…"

    • There is no true lasting happiness in this world — you’re so right. We ignore the soul and God to our own detriment!!

      • While God has rescued me from my slavery to addiction, I still struggle with keeping sober and not sliding into depression. I've found what works for me is to focus on God's goodness but also be diligently industrious (19th century definition). The former keeps my spirit fed while the latter keeps my mind focused on accomplishing good results. The two work to keep me from needing to rely on drugs to "mediate" my mood.

I'm teaching that to my daughter who struggles with anxiety and depression, but she seems to want that magic bullet that takes the work out of keeping a healthy mental/spiritual life. Hopefully the different outcomes of our common struggles inspires her to listen and learn the lessons I'm teaching.

  43. Disney and Mickey Mouse Club became an entry point for soul selling to a satanic cult run by pedos.

Britney and her family sold their souls for money, fortune and fame. What's left of Britney now is just the remaining carcass.

  44. The irony, just last night I was looking up what ever happened to Gloria Estefan. Long story short, daughter came out of the closet, Gloria wasn't ok with it until a therapist got involved and convinced her it was ok to be gay.

  45. Like Karen Carpenter, her family saw her as a meal ticket, not a teenage girl. At the point in her life she needed people who she could trust and who would love and take care of her, protect her from overwork and stress, they did the opposite. Pump her full of drugs and shove her onstage.
People think psychotropic drugs are like high blood pressure medications. Not true.
The key parameter that predicts success or failure in chemical brain treatment is that the patient is surrounded by others who can monitor their progress or alert someone when she is failing. This is key.
I learned this firsthand many years ago. A wise old psychiatrist got me intimately involved with my bipolar wife's treatment, something no other shrink would let me even do. I could tell when she started behaving strangely. THEY CANNOT DO THAT THEMSELVES!!!!
If they could, they wouldn't need the drugs.

  46. This article is so biased and tainted. Spears IS obviously bipolar and therefore lithium is a standard treatment. Read reports of her behavior. Bizarre. Lithium slows down mania. It does NOT create psychosis in manics. She has threatened her children, her pets, and neglected them, reportedly. She also uses drugs and alcohol which triggers mania. There is no evidence of mental stability. How do I know these things? I worked with dozens just like her for 12 years clinically.

    • How many of those poor “bi-polar” doped up souls were being misdiagnosed. Maybe they should have real doctors look. My “ex brother in law was “bi-polar” for 20 years until a Dr puts him on a crazy diet because his research showed patients with bi-polars issues tend to have issues with some proteins. 6 months later he’s totally normal. Real science not quackery.

  47. In Michael Creighton's book "SPHERE", one of the characters made a comment about the validity of psychology that has stuck with me ever since I read the book, probably because there's a lot of truth to it. The quote: "Psychology is not a science, it’s a form of superstition. It’s like voodoo. You can’t disprove it because it’s all based on feelings, and you can say anything you want."

    What do ya'll think?

  48. Per the article, we all know Britney is not the only one.

Judy Garland and Francis Farmer are mentioned. Whitney Houston comes to mind. Off the top of their heads, I'm sure readers can list numerous others.

  49. I've always had a soft spot for Britney, not that her music is anywhere near my tastes, but because it seemed as though no matter what she did, she could NEVER escape the people who were ensuring her destruction. And lithium…dear Lord. She never had a chance at normalcy.

  50. Her troubles started long before any psychiatry. In Orlando, we remember her trying to get into night clubs at age 16 using the whole "Do you know who I am" approach. (Answer: Yes. That's why you can't come in.) Was already a spoiled underaged snot by then. That's what happens when your family sees you as their meal ticket.

  51. I was once coerced into Therapy. After 5 visits, the Psychologist wasn't happy with how things were progressing, so he decided to deliver an Ultimatum:
"If you're not going to live your life the way I'm telling you to, you might as well LEAVE!", he said.
So I did, and never went back. When the people pushing me to get counseling in the first place asked me why I quit the therapy, I simply told them, "Hey, it was his idea, go ask him…".

  52. Coogan's law was written after jackie coogan's family lived large off his fortunes. Her family should get hauled into court.

  53. I used to work in a place with psych's on staff. They are some of the strangest oddballs you have ever met and certainly not fit to judge or help others.

  54. this 77 year old alcoholic has been sober over 50 years with the help of Alcoholics Anonymous. I started attending meetings when I was 18. Many alcoholics are treated by psychiatrists at the insistance of relatives, employees, wifes. I have watch the passing parade, the use of LSD by a UCLA psychiatric professor, 1960s use of Librium tranquilizer, the various pop psychology ideas, ect, ect. My experience watching the passing parade none of these worked consistently. The data I have seen reports that the AA program is most successful at long term sobriety. The mental health profession makes a lot of promises but IMHO I have never seen any long term success. The problem is when young people were telling me I was drinking alcoholically, I tried to get a test to verify the diagnosis – none available, and in 2025 none available – is is all based on "reported" behavior. Britney is an example of a person receiving long term treatment that sound like they tried something, did not work they try the newest thing on the block.
I am ADHD, so I follow very closely the progress of treatment. A lot of child arrive at a ADHD specialist with half a dozen or more "diagnosis", the common denominator is ADHD that these "professionals" did not see. With proper treatment there is a 80% chance these people will return to "normal" behavior which is only mental illness that ,IHMO there is that high a success rate.

  55. I'm forever grateful they never got a hold of Alizee ! When she started out she only sang in French; so that she never toured in the United States. Although Famous in France, the EU, Mexico, Japan and even Russia, where she performed a few times in Moscow !
