ABC Pushes Mental Health, Ignores Failed Prozac Treatment in Veteran Suicide

As a nod to Veterans Day, ABC News Prime Focus with host Aaron Katersky reported on the mental illness that apparently crippled Matthew Livelsberger, the 37-year-old Army Master Sargent and Special Operations soldier who blew up a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump International in Las Vegas last New Year’s Day. As usual, ABC, like all mass media, refuses to address the truth surrounding mental health “treatment.”
ABC’s Katersky mentions mental health several times during the eight-minute segment but, oddly enough, fails to ask simple but necessary questions. The gist of the segment was to bring attention to mental health issues suffered by military personnel, with Livelsberger as the example of a soldier’s need to seek treatment.
In fact, Katersky explained that “ABC News spent six months investigating someone who served his country and battled with the invisible wounds of war” and that Livelsberger was “a man in crisis.” Perhaps, but one wonders if ABC News spent six months investigating Livelsberger, why didn’t host Katersky tell the public what mental illnesses Livelsberger had been diagnosed with?
Seriously. Rather than just yap on and on about “mental illness,” why not actually share what Livelsberger suffered from? Afterall, six months is a long time to investigate, and all the public is allowed to know is he was “a man in crisis?” Clearly, the military veteran was in “crisis” as his violent and suicidal actions last New Year’s Day are plenty of proof that Livelsberger was suffering.
And the US Army reported that “Sgt. Livelsberger had access to and used the POTFF program; he did not display concerning behavior at the time and was granted leave.” POTFF is a special program designed to assist military personnel under strain, including mental wellness, physical fitness, holistic health and spiritual health.
The Army says Livelsberger was just fine and approved his leave back to the US for the holidays. But apparently, all was not well and after injuring six and killing himself at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, it was later reported in the news that Livelsberger suffered from mental health issues, including suicidal ideations and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The Clark County Coroner reported that Livelsberger tested positive for THC (Marijuana) and the antidepressant Prozac. That’s interesting. Why didn’t Katersky discuss the toxicology findings?
Prozac (fluoxetine) is a mind-altering drug used as “treatment” for major depressive disorder. Prozac is an SSRI and like all antidepressants carries a black box warning for suicidality – that very same mental disorder that Livelsberger suffered from. Is it possible that Livelsberger was suffering from an adverse reaction to the drug? Plus, had Livelsberger ever had any medical tests conducted to reveal if he had suffered any brain injuries in combat? It apparently never occurred to Katersky in those six months of investigating to ask that question.
Why didn’t Katersky explain that Livelsberger had PTSD and was “treated” with a mind-altering drug? Further, if Livelsberger was suffering from PTSD and suicidal thoughts, what other drugs had he been prescribed? And did the coroner actually conduct all the necessary drug tests that would have provided that information? And why didn’t Katersky want to know this information?
Katersky obviously was communicating with the military about Livelsberger, so did Katersky even bother to ask what the soldier’s mental health diagnoses were and what were the drugs he had been prescribed as “treatment?” It’s well known that the military “treats” its members with psychiatric drugs…often cocktails of them. So, this wouldn’t be a stretch to simply ask how the military was “treating” Livelsberger’s mental illnesses and how long had Livelsberger by receiving mental health “treatment.”
What’s odd about the ABC News show is that it apparently never occurred to anyone working on Prime Focus to inquire if Livelsberger may have suffered a traumatic brain injury at any point in combat. This is important because another mass shooting was carried out by an honorable military veteran, Robert Card, in Lewiston, Maine.
Card had been acting oddly, and his command sent him for a psychiatric evaluation and was prescribed drugs as “treatment.” The fact is Card had spent his time in the military as an explosives instructor and had suffered from a traumatic brain injury and yet he was sent for a psych evaluation. It defies logic that Card’s command would not consider a medical situation, maybe concussion, as a reason for a change in the soldier’s behavior.
It’s no secret that the suicide rate in the military rises nearly every year. In 2022 an average of 17.6 suicides occurred every day which is nearly double the rate of civilians. Between 2019 and 2023 there was nearly a 40% increase in psychiatric diagnosing with more than 541,000 service members receiving a mental health diagnosis.
Again, one must wonder why ABC News Prime Focus didn’t delve into Livelsberger’s mental health history, including the drugs he had been prescribed and why, perhaps, did the host, after six months of investigating, fail to inquire whether Livelsberger may have suffered from a real medical condition – a traumatic brain injury?
The fact that ABC News Prime Focus is still just yammering about mental health and providing no specifics about the veterans diagnoses and prescribed drugs, is proof that the drugging is out of control and the modern mental health model is a complete failure.
Because modern mental health “treatment” (diagnose and drug) is such a failure, letting the public know what these warriors are facing with mental health “treatment” in the military can’t be allowed. No. The public must never know any specifics about the psychiatric diagnosing or the mind-altering drugs prescribed as “treatment.” All the violent/suicidal behavior is about our fighting force’s mental health. That’s all the public needs to know.

Stop Medical Advertising for drugs, begin Prosecuting Doctors…

Except for that stuff that kills those thousands of parasites in my body that I never knew I had.
.
It even kills the good bugs and parasites…!
.
Guess it's all about the Methylene Blue now.
Apparently, RFK Jr. uses it, whatever the hell it is.
I used to use it for sick aquarium fish. I always thought it was fish medicine, and that it has highly toxic to people. I guess not.
Didn’t know it was around that long. Did the fish start growing two heads?
Nah, it worked sometimes, but often fish would die even after treatment.
Then, what good was the crap? lol
I stopped using it for that reason. It’s a last resort for very expensive fish, though. Kind of like chemo, I guess. It also made the aquarium water blue. It did work for a very expensive lionfish my dad had years ago. Don’t buy aquarium fish if the water is blue or green at the pet store. It usually means they are sick. I have no idea what methylene blue does for people. I guess it might increase oxygen in your blood. I haven’t done any research, but I do see the stupid ads all the time.
Ads are everywhere about that stuff. I went to a party many years ago, and of course we were drinking, and taking turns trying to see how long we could hold the electric eel.
Ever done that? It’s pretty close to being zapped by 110ac. Of course, when you’re drinking and group pressure, one does stupid things as this.
Btw, I won.
Originally it was a dye used on fabrics.
A really long time ago, I guess. I spent years getting rid of toxic dyes and chemicals in textiles. I imagine that stuff is probably less toxic than what was being used just 30 years ago. Chromium, formaldehyde, all the really fun stuff.
I believe it was around 1902.
.
I’ve been taking it for a while, it’s great.
You do pee blue…
.
Very cool, what does it do exactly?
Me too, 10 drops a day, minimum dosage.
This was a psyop like the Route 91 LV massacre thing.
best / most fun drugs I ever had is in the Psych Ward… and it only took 10 years 2 divorces and a year of homelessness to finally break free from the addiction. Only by the Grace of God I didn't end up a suicide statistic… seriously God's Grace is real, and I am grateful to Him alone for my life.
Duh their biggest advertisers are drug companies. Of course they wont report the truth
This is one reason why I stopped using the VA. They always tried to push the mental health and drugs on me. I was there to be evaluated and diagnosed for injury from Camp Lejeune toxic water, not for mental BS. They tried to push those drugs on me but, I resisted. That and the COVID vaccine. Now they are pushing the flu/pneumonia shots. As soon as I get a rating for the Parkinson's disease, I'm not going back. I still have a non VA PCP.
BTW, the flu, pneumococcol pneumonia, RSV and Shingles shots all contain the immune system destroying mRNA replicating spike proteins. Same as the COVID jabs. Bad stuff. Served in the AF during Vietnam. No VA, have a private PCP. VA treatment depends on the which franchise you use as not all give good service. Varies.
I know. I retired from VA healthcare. If you’ve been to one VA you’ve been to one VA. I don’t take any vaccines.
The issue of the anti psychotic drugs will never be addressed as Big Pharma pumps billions of dollars into the meida and the public schools just so the modern day witch doctors can drug up young boys.
The side effects are horrible. Young boys committing suicide..never happened before it was always the girls who did this.
Almost all of the hard drug use in adults has started with the public school witch doctors addicting young boys to anti psychotic drugs
SSRI's are not anti-psychotic medications. Ignorance is not bliss.
PLEASE!!!!
Matthew Livelsberger did not kill himself. As per the story, he shot himself with a .50 caliber Desert Eagle on the left side of his temple.
The .50-caliber Desert Eagle is a large-caliber handgun. For him to shoot himself on the left side of the temple, he would've had to lean to his right to have the space to shoot himself in the head. In the upright position in the driver's seat, he would not have room to hold the gun due to proximity to the window.
I'm also supposed to believe that the guy is also special forces, but didn't know how to rig explosives?!!!
This reminds me of:
1. A 30-06 bullet is stopped by a human neck bone…
2. No crime scene investigation of the Butler-Trump shooting…
3. No investigation into how Ryan Wesley Routh obtained his rifle…
Stop with the cover-ups, because you don't have your Mockingbird propaganda to cover for you anymore.
There's video of him with a different gun as well.
have you ever shot a desert eagle?
Those things are huge, and very bulky.
I call BS as well.
I haven’t seen the video, and you point me to it.
Was on Bichute quite a while ago. But remember he was not holding a Desert Eagle. That is a very distinct gun.
It’s a massive gun.
Indeed
ABC World News Tonight is actually only about 20 minutes of News. The oher 10 minutes is pharmaceutical ads. Without those ads, they'd be forced to cover a lot of stories they'd rather ignore.
The absolute WORST drug for the mentally ill that is handed out like candy with NO oversight!!!!
If it's not titrated down slowly, and just abruptly taken off it, they can become emotionally unpredictable, even more than when they got on it in the first place, becoming potentially suicidal or homicidal.
This is an obvious follow the money.
Bullcrap, SSRI's do not cause suicidal tendencies. ALL of the people prescribed them are depressed many suicidal and hopeless. I'll remind you that correlation is not causation. These drugs, hardly a failure, are the most successful drugs on the market. If 10 million are able to handle their depression with these drugs, and 100 go on to kill themselves, it can only be described as a success.
The "news media" promotes anything other than the real cause.
